"I believe that people are going to do whatever they want, whenever they want. There is no such thing as a 'greater good.' Morality is situational at best. I believe in treating the people you love with decency, and not holding back against those who wish to do them harm . "
Where to begin. Having literally grown up at the Academy, he's pretty well known not only at the school, but throughout the town as well. Most will tell you that he is (or was,) a bit of a wild child. Nothing too drastic, your typical rebelling teenager stuff. Drinking, partying, sneaking out, etc. Normal teenage stuff. While he's tapered off a bit since returning to the school from his pilgrimage, he's still the same person (mostly.) He enjoys having a good time with enjoyable people (and a good, stiff drink when it's presented.) He's a fan of expressing himself and isn't one to shy away from being open and honest (not that he usually means any harm with it.) At times he can come off a bit too much like one the students, but that's definitely something he's working on. He realizes that he can't be a kid forever and is slowly starting to resemble a responsible adult. Slowly.
He can be a bit on the boisterous side but he usually means well. He's honest. He's not the type of guy to bullshit you for the sake of keeping face. If he has something to say, he's going to say, whether you want to hear it or not. His compassion is often tempered by his wit and sarcasm, that are equal parts charming as they are slightly childish. He's a fan of himself as much as he is those around him. He considers himself a decent human being. He's kind to those he knows. He's generous to friends when they are in need. But he doesn't ultimately tend to care about the greater good if it doesn't affect him on a personal level. His world, for the most part, ends and begins in Kalispell and with those that surround him.
When he's not at the school (either teaching or handling recruiting either onsite or off,) you're likely to find him having a night out on the town. He enjoys himself to the fullest whenever the chance is presented. He'd much rather apologize for something after the fact than regret that he didn't take the leap in any given situation. While he's pretty welcoming most of the time, he's become somewhat guarded in some situations since the big reveal. It opened up old wounds, ones that he thought had finally healed. Nothing like having a famous, murderous dad. It was awesome when he just that. With the cat out of the bag it's all but accepted that his father was a mutant. While most of the locals don't care, that sort of celebrity tends to be a lightning rod for the AMA.
How long before he snaps like his old man? Why should he be walking around free? Maybe he'll just decide to up and slaughter the whole town one day. Great stuff, right? So that's what Lex is currently dealing with. He's adjusting. He's doing the best he can. But sooner or later he's probably going to break, and when he does he'll probably be caught on camera breaking some activists face in.
