ELIZABETH, EDISON
EIGHTEEN//FEMALE//PANSEXUAL//PYROKINETIC//STUDENT//DIANNA AGRON
POWER INFO:
Liz's handle on her abilities are getting a lot better than when she started out. Though she has yet been able to create fire on her own, she can now successfully either provoke or diffuse an already existing flame.
Her body temperature is surprisingly higher than most, causing her to be a lot more at home in cold places than she is in warmer places. This causes her great discomfort in the summer, resulting in high fevers and basically being a human sauna.
She also gets frequent headaches, has an insatiable hunger and often finds herself sweating more than the average person.
GENERAL APPEARANCE:
Liz's sense of style is very girly and she prefers to not layer her clothes if it's possible. She would be seen in either a top coupled with pants, jeans or a skirt or sun dresses.
Her long blonde hair is usually let down with either a beanie or a head band and she usually foregoes the make-up, opting for the bare minimum if she does put it on.
She's a very confident girl and it shows in her stride, back straight and chin up. Rarely without a smile, she's easily seen as a very cheerful young woman.
MUST HAVE APPAREL:
Ratty blue Converse high tops
PERSONALITY:
Sunny and cheerful, it takes a lot to really bring the girl down. She may seem like a bit of a ditz. Which, sometimes, she is.
It isn't something she's ashamed of though. She owns up to her mistakes and doesn't let anybody make fun of her. Given that, she actually does look down upon herself a little; better to make fun of herself than let other people do it for her.
Liz is a little insecure but she doesn't show it too much and tends to cover it up with sarcasm and jokes. Very...awkward jokes.
She is also a very affectionate person and very much believes in love conquering all. She's very open to loving other people, regardless of who they are, as long as they are nice to her and the people around her.
EXTRA QUIRK:
Liz drowns herself in cult tv shows and is a regular on the internet. Although she probably wouldn't apologise for geeking out if you caught the recent episode of How I Met Your Mother.

CHILDHOOD:
Liz is the last child after six boys in the Edison clan. Growing up, Liz's mother would try to get her to like dolls and dresses and anything related to the colour pink but she preferred the rougher side of things, choosing to wrestle in the mud with her brothers, watch any sports with her dad and dressing up like male superheroes for Halloween.
Charlene gave up on trying to change her daughter halfway through her childhood and let her experience life however she wanted. Which sat well with Billy and the boys. And Liz of course. But it did take it's toll when she started school. She kept getting called names and always pushed out of the boys' group plays simply for being a girl.
She never settled in with the girls either so most of the time, she would be playing by herself at the jungle gym. Her music teacher one day pulled her into the music room and asked her if she would be interested in picking up an instrument. At first, Liz wasn't too sure but in the end, she picked up the guitar. And that led to the violin, and then the piano and little by little, she learned practically every single instrument in that music room. She wasn't exceptionally good at them, but she definitely grew her interest there.
Her music teacher asked her if she wanted to narrow it down to at least one or two instruments and in the end, she picked the guitar. It was a good thing instruments didn't need to be played in a group. And she thrived in music from then on.
ADOLESCENCE:
Puberty hit Liz hard at twelve and suddenly her body was changing and acne started popping up every here and there all over her face. Although she expected all of that, what she didn't expect was the sudden fire that erupted in the kitchen while she was trying to make a homemade acne removal lotion.
Thankfully, her parents were close and her dad quickly put out the fire but it happened again and again every time Liz started to panic. The Edisons didn't know what else to do so they sent the very traumatised and hysterical Liz over to the hospital whereupon her diagnosis of being a meta was announced, she panicked and tried to run away.
She was stopped by a kind looking man who told her everything would be all right. All she had to do was come with him and she would be safe. Although she knew enough never to listen to a man who said things like that, Liz found herself following him over to where her parents were. After a quick explanation of what was going to happen, Liz was a little dumbfounded that her parents were so compliant in letting her go.
She tried to kick up a fuss but in the end, her mother told her that everything would be all right. That they were always going to be by her side and she wasn't going to be alone. Liz knew better. Her parents were not coming with her.
Liz didn't settle down at Bellefonte too quickly. She withdrew into herself, choosing to lock herself in her room and only going out for food, classes and training. Her brothers tried to cheer her up by talking to her on the phone several times a week but she couldn't get over the fact that she had essentially been abandoned by her parents.
But the phone calls did help. Little by little, she opened up. She started to make an effort and befriended people. It took a while but slowly, she went back to being the carefree Liz she was back home. Only this time, she started noticing that her interests were slightly different than before.
At fourteen, though she still loved her guitar and played it quite frequently, she also found herself being strangely attracted to the opposite sex. She found herself fantasising about being with them in far off places, doing things she clearly couldn't do in real life.
At fifteen, though she was still very much attracted to boys, she started feeling the exact same things when she looked at girls. It was all so confusing, especially because once she turned fifteen, her acne was gone, she started growing in places she was almost afraid of and suddenly people started talking to her differently.
Fifteen was also the first time she kissed a boy. And then a few months later, she kissed a girl. And she liked it both times. After several talks with a lot of people, Liz declared that she was just very attracted to people.
It was also then that she decided to dress the way she saw girls dressed. Some of them looked so delicate and pretty in dresses and she then decided to wear dresses. She also liked how some girls looked really good in jeans and how they hugged them just right on boys so she also decided to wear jeans. Her entire perspective on clothes changed then and she decided whatever felt the most comfortable for her on that day would be what she wore.
There is still a small part of her that still clung on to the things she loved doing with her dad and brothers and she supposed whatever her mother had imposed on her when she was younger was starting to surface and quickly, it became a balance of both that Liz clung on to.
But her love of music is definitely something that hadn't changed.
