A Midnight Prowl (Devyn)

Skylar smirked when Devyn had chuckled about her calling it a date, I guess it could have been taken two ways. she mentally shrugged, she meant it was just a planned event, and hoped Devyn knew that, she figured Devyn was smart and se had got the idea so she didn't worry too much about it. "Sparring partners and sunglasses buddies, eh?" she let out chuckle. "Sounds good to me, partner." she said smiling, giving the other girl a nudge on the shoulder. She watched the ground as it rolled by, underneath her bare feet, Interesting how the ground is quite soft. she thought randomly.

"Bother? Naw, you couldn't possibly be a bother to me. Although, it would be nice to hang out, maybe do something, I don't know." she said with a shrug. She had no idea what Devyn did in her free time, but she guess it probably wasn't girly things, she definitely didn't seem like she'd be up for trying stuff like that. Maybe we could go get some new sunglasses or something, maybe just go for a run, workout possibly. she gave a small shrug. She laughed and looked up at Devyn when she mentioned how she got her best compliments when she was in her underwear, "I guess that makes two of us then." she said with a wink.

She grinned, "Oh my god, no way, you're Devyn Solway, like, The Devyn Solway?" she said teasingly as her voice got higher and more excited. She tried to do her best impression of some type of a fangirl. "I just can't wait to tell all the ladies that I. Got to talk. With Devyn Solway. They will all be so jealous." she said, still laughing a bit. She figured that Devyn must been quite popular or at least well-known, good thing she had just become friends with her, Skylar needed some popular friends. She threw her hands up, "Call it what you will," she let out a chuckle then nodded, "You go to your room and I shall go to mine." she looked at her when she spoke and was being spoken to. She quickly glanced ahead, the buildings were growing closer.

Skylar thought about all the plans and stuff, Two days, sparring at the arena, after midnight. She is in room 303, girls dorms. Sunglasses buddies and sparring partners. she did a slight nod an promised to write all this stuff down to help her remember, well, mostly just their sparring plans. "Alrighty then, Arena in two days, be there or be square. Unless of course you're afraid to lose to me. In that case, I'd be ok with you now showing." she said with a smirk. She said this to confirm that she had the right date, and to make sure the other girl would want to show up. People hate to lose, as least I do, and I'm a person sooo, others probably do too. she thought to herself, thinking that Devyn was somewhat like her in the way, in the fact that Devyn seemed like the person that didn't like to lose.

"Right, right. Now do I call you SPSGB, SPSB, or just SP?" Devyn asked teasingly, trying to think of how to shorten up such a nickname. She was lazy after all in pretty much all areas that were not working out or her powers...and one another area, but that area was not so important at the moment. She just liked nicknames really, made her remember the person more and plus she liked calling someone by a nickname. There could be a million Skylar’s out there but only one that was nicknamed Sparing Partner. Alright, Devyn realized this theory was flawed, but she was sticking with it until she came up with a better one. She let out a playful growl at the nudge and Skylar back with her shoulder bumping into the others girls.

"Hanging out would be cool. Hmm...well I like movies, hanging out at nightclubs, and anything related to working out." Devyn pointed out, not sure all the things they could do so was pretty much going to leave it to the other girl for ideas. Devyn was pretty much always did things along the lines of working out, watching movies, sleeping, eating, and...well yeah. Devyn's eyes scanned over the girl at her words about getting her best comments in her underwear as well. "Duelly noted." Devyn said in a certain tone as a smirk appeared on her face for a moment. She was enjoying being around with Skylar, and was looking forward to hanging out with the girl again. With more clothing and less sleepiness involved. Well...the more clothing was not really necessary.

"The one and only." Devyn said with a chuckle, taking Skylar's words in jest since Devyn would not really think of herself as popular. Yes people did know of her, students and staff, but she was not out enough to really be seen as popular. At least she didn’t think so. However the thought of people whispering about how cool, mysterious, and a total shadow prince would have given her an ego boost. She gave a nod, keeping his thumbs hooked where they were as she could already see the dorms coming into view, which mean they would be parting soon. Only to seek each other in two days, and of course passing in the halls or something. Granted Devyn had gone times where she would not see someone in the halls, the place was big and she didn’t always go the normal route when traveling. Often going by climbing buildings and jumping out windows.

Devyn let out a scoff followed by a small laugh, not that she was trying to brag or anything about her ability’s in combat, but more so that the girl basically challenged her. Devyn basically had military special ops training, that’s to her dad, and on top of that she had been training here at the school. Yet she knew there was always room for improvement and that she might be able to learn something from Skylar even if the girl was less skilled or even was very skilled in the ways of combat. It was all a wait and see sort of deal. "You're on. Be there. Bring snacks, drinks, and an ice pack because you are going to be sore by the time I'm done with you." Devyn said that in a certain tone and gave a wink. Yes she slipped in a naughty joke in there and she patted Skyla's shoulder and started off in the direction of her dorm. "See you then, yeah?" Devyn asked wanting to really make sure the girl was up for this, having to speak up a little because she was still walking away. No doubt was going to end up drawing attention, which would mean they would both have to run and hide soon.

Skylar laughed when Devyn asked her what she should call her, These names are ridiculous. she thought to herself, but not wanting to be rude, she chose one of the given names, even though she would have chosen something more relatable to herself if she had the chance. "You can call me SP, I'll be your partner and you will be SB, because you are my buddy." she said with a smirk, Woot! Now we both have ridiculous nicknames. she thought happily, pleased with herself. Pleased that Devyn also had an equally ridiculous nickname. She laughed some more when the other girl bumped into her after she nudged her moments before.

"Ooo, those all sound like fun things to do, I'll keep that in mind so when the occasion calls for it, I could think of something to do." The most interesting thing that stuck out to her was the thing about Night clubs. How interesting it would be for us two, to go to a night club. she thought about this image, and every time she thought about it, all she could do was laugh. Devyn is very flirty, it would probably consist of a lot of drinks, and then having people go back to the dorms with them. This last part in particular, got to Skylar every time. She just couldn't seem to see herself doing that, she would have to be pretty out of it but who knows, maybe that night she was feeling a little risky.

Skylar chuckled when the other girl confirmed that she was the one and only Devyn Solway. "Why would I bring ice packs for you? You can bring your own if you think yore going to need them that badly. Naw, you won't need them, I'll go easy on ya." she said with a smirk. Even thought Skylar said this, she knew Devyn was probably going to best her, Skylar had, had no real combat training since her trainer. The only things she continued to work in was talking while shifted, hunting, and how long she could stay shifted, well, how long she could stay shifted until he took over. She nodded, "I'll see you there! Don't forget to bring your own ice packs, you probably won't need them since I'll go easy on ya, but just incase you get a booboo, or something serious like that." she said probably a bit too loud, she looked around the area, nobody was around yet. She shrugged and and laughed, "Catch you later!" she said with a wink before she turned off towards her own dorm.

((Yeah, me and Skylar are totally down to beat Devyn up, hopefully Devyn will have brought enough ice packs, the bag might be too heavy for her to carry though, if that's the case Skylar will help you with carrying them with her.))

Devyn was not really a fan of the nicknames herself; she really did say them out of jest and was just using them as a place holder. She would think of a better nickname later when she got to know Skylar better or a good one came to her mind. Either way, for the moment Devyn liked the idea of calling her Sparing Partner or SP for sort. She chuckled at being called SB in return. Finding it both amusing and cute that Skylar called her buddy. She had made a friend on a night when her other side took control for a moment. Not a bad night. She was going to be really tired and hungry when she would get up in the morning, but she had made a sparring partner so it was not all that bad.

"Alright, just let me know. We will exchange numbers at our next meet up then." Devyn said with a nod. Scoffing once more followed by some chuckles at Skylar's suggestion that Devyn was going to be the one that needed ice packs. "I'll make sure to go easy on you then too." Devyn added, and she really did plan on it. She always held herself back at the start of a fight, wanting to see the other person’s skills, how much effort she would have to put into it, and other factors. Either way, she was looking forward to it and figured it be pretty fun. "Then I'll bring a gurney to carry you away on, even if I will go easy on you! Bye bye!" Devyn yelled back at the other girl as she ran off to sneak her way back to her dorm room for some much needed sleep and rest. For sure was going to eat like a whole steak in a matter of seconds when she woke up and probably drain a one of those large Gatorade bottles. Still, if she really did end up hurting the other girl, she carry her on her back.
