A Midnight Prowl (Devyn)

[Devyn Solway]

Devyn did not mind people looking into her eyes; it was what she saw in people's eyes that could lead to a problem. Her inner beast that may have been appearing on the outside was still inside her mind, she was still Devyn. She liked eye contact so long as it did not show any aggression or challenge. Skylar's eyes revealing something more along the lines of that looked like she was in awe and also fear. Two things Devyn was fine with seeing in someone’s eyes so she did not make a sound and just looked at the girl. Wonder what’s going on in her head. Devyn was thinking to herself and her tails wagged a little more at seeing the smile on Skylar's face. She only picked up the tail wagging from seeing dogs, but if her beat was in full control if it was wagging its tail it be a bad thing; if said tail was held up high.

What? Devyn would have chuckled if she could have as the girl made her way closer, either talking to herself or to Devyn. She assumed to herself because Devyn was being perfectly still and just looking at her. Waiting for the girl to just pet her. She did respect that the other girl was using caution, not necessary when Devyn had given her the okay, but alright. Devyn figuring it to be something of a mix of the girl’s possible slight fears of this form. Which was why Devyn kept her mouth shut to not reveal that sharp teeth hidden behind the dark muzzle. Devyn felt the slight temptation to jump at the girl and startle her, but she decided against it and remained still. Waiting until she finally felt the hand touch her head.

Ooooh, yes. That’s the spot. Right there. Devyn tried to not be such a dog, but man when someone would start to search her, she just could not help it. She enjoyed the hand on her head and how it worked its way down her neck. Then she was behind her ears which head Devyn tilting her head and making an odd murmur sound that sounded like someone might have been whispering. There were whispers as well but Skylar would not be able to hear them. They were whispers that only Devyn heard, ones she did not want to hear, but she ignored them and pushed them aside for now. The shadow smoke around Devyn moved around a bit as if she was trying to spell out something but she gave up. How could she say 'I never pet myself while like this so i would not know'? Devyn could only form out three letters at a time. Well that was a lie. She could form out number and symbols to, but she could only control the shadow smoke enough to form up to three things. Devyn did feel a bit edgy at the other girl starting to pet her back, which was why her head turned to watch her for a moment.

Skylar said she could change back now, which was most likely for the best since the whispers started to become a bigger bather. She blamed the whispers for why she lost control at some point. She just didn’t know how to get rid of them yet. The shadow smoke pulled in close to Devyn now, swirling around her for a moment before pulling away a little, the shadow beast form seeming to just fall into shadows on the ground. Those shadows going back the objects that had casted them and retuned to just being normal shadows. Devyn stood in place of the beast now, stretching and the shadow smoke lingered for a moment and then just faded away as if it had never been there. "Alright, now I'm cold." Devyn said with a chuckle as she rubbed her arms and nodded at Skylar. "No problem. Now at some point you will have to show me your other form. When you can that is." Devyn said still rubbing her arms for a moment, in no rush for the other girl to show her just yet if Skylar was not ready.

Skylar watched as Devyn shifted back to her human state, she was amazed at how she seems to slip out of being the shadow beast, almost as if it were a costume or a suit. "Oh really now? Well, lucky for you, I can actually take care of that now." she said, glancing at the moon. Yeah, I've probably waited long enough to avoid any serious side effects. Shifting was weird for her when she was standing still, she didn't usually do it this way. Often times she would be in a full out sprit when she changed, it felt smoother to her. "I haven't learned to talk yet though, so it will be a mixture of purring and growls." She closed her eyes and brought herself into a bliss state, blocking out everything for the current period of time. Her skin began to darken, as if she was going to fade into the darkness. she was shifting, the darkness left as quickly as it had came, her body size shrank. Within moments, a leopard stood where Skylar had just been. She was in a sitting position, then stood up and put her front paws out. She stuck her butt up and stretched, unsheathing and shearhing her claws in the forest floor, she even yawned. She turned her muzzle and licked at her back, making sure her fur was as soft and smooth as possible. Her fur was extremely precious to her, she took care of it everyday, making sure it remained pretty. She took a few steps towards Devyn and sat down in front of her. She looked up, into the girls eyes with her own. White pupils, a green iris and then black surrounding what's left on the eye's surface. Her tail wrapped around and rested on her paws. She looked at Devyn like, Ta-da!

"Oh, going to warm me up?" Devyn asked in a tone that could imply other things, but she figured she understood what Skylar was getting at. She took a step back, eyes locked on the other girl as she watched the change happened. Had to be painful shrinking down like that. Then fur growing and all of that. Devyn was very happy that her form basically came over her like she was wearing a costume. Heck it would hurt if she actually changed into her shadow beast form. She have to grow a lot larger and then actually grow a second tail since no normal wolf had two tails. If was still pretty neat to see it happen first hand. She expected the girl to go hide behind a tree and do it, or run off to do it, but no, Skylar had stayed there. Which was fine by Devyn because again she got to see it.

"Did that hurt?" Devyn asked almost immediately as the other girl seemed to be fully settled into her snow leopard form. She even licked at her fur, cleaning it. Such a cat. Devyn thought as she smirked a little, watching the girl move closer and sit down in front of her. Devyn holding her ground the whole time. Not really having too many fears. Plus her inner beast did not allow her to back down; she stood her ground and fought even if the battle was against her. Granted sometimes she would be able to pull logic into the beast head and retreat, but most of the time, not so much. "You are really pretty." Devyn said after a moment at staring at the snow leopard before her, going to kneel down. "Your eyes are lovely. Can I touch you as well?" Devyn asked but she kind of was already reaching out to pet the snow leopard on her head, looking into the eyes.

"Did that hurt?"

This question actually caught Skylar by surprise, she had never given the question any thought, Did it hurt? she wondered to herself. Her head tilted slightly as she gave the question some thought, Surely not... She tried to think about what it felt like shifting, A lot of nothin' really. She chuckled internally as she shook her head. It actually felt quite nice, although smaller, she was stronger and faster shifted, almost everything was better about her shift, better eyesight, better hearing, she was quieter. Then only real downfall was the other voice, it scared her, not in a sense of what it sounded like, but she knew that it was able to take over her actions as a leopard, and there was nothing she could to to prevent it after it happened. All she could do was beg for someone to knock her out, or put her in a cage. She needed training, to her it was evident, yet she still refused to be with a trainer after her last experience with a trainer.

She didn't kill the guy, she just kind of sent him to the hospital... For a few months. When he took over, (she assumed it was a male due to the gruffness of the voice) it was barely noticeable, she was running along, 'hunting' for her trainer. She enjoyed this activity the most because it allowed her to be out as a leopard and be in the woods. She was following a possible scent of his, she blinked and she instantly felt different, as if she had been 'released' from her shift. The leopard was moving, only, she didn't want it to, something or someone was controlling her. No, taken over her. The leopard sniffed once and began to track the trainer's scent with deadly precision, maybe this new thing was good. Hello Skylar, a voice called out to her, I've been waiting a Lin time for this. She was utterly confused, that's when she looked and saw her trainer under the roots of a tree. On a typical 'hunt', she would have growled next to his spot and sat down. Unfortunately, this wasn't an ordinary day. The leopard ran to were the trainer was and began to attack him, his shouting brought security over, they ended up shooting her with a tranquilizer dart. She woke up horrified, It was just a dream. she tried to sooth her nerves, Well that was fun, too bad they shot us. a masculine voice called out. No, no, no! Shortly after visiting with him in the hospital for hours, her trainer was actually afraid of her, I mean, most people would be. She left and went straight to the head masters office and requested a transfer. Days later her headmaster granted her wish and sent her to Bellefonte Academy.

She shook her head around a but to snap herself from the horrid memory, she still had nightmares of it, of the fear in her trainer's eyes. She would have smiled if she could, she had just been complimented on her eyes. Sure they were pretty neat, to Skylar at least, a lot of people found them unnerving but she didn't care, not that she had much of a choice anyways. She laid down when Drvyn continued and asked I she was allowed to touch the leopards fur, Of course! she thought instantly. Skylar enjoyed the touch of someone else, but she also feared it the longer she was a leopard, hell, as long as she was shifted. She had just made a new friend that can shift and the last thing he wanted was to give in to the other side (the voice's side). You can only keep me away for so long Skylar... the voice said quietly in the back of her mind, A few hours is long enough. She began to sort of army crawl to the girl's outstretched hand. She stopped when the top of her head was just below Devyn's hand. Her tail wrapped around and rested along the edge of her body, her muzzle fell to lay on her paws, she sat there quietly and calmly, urging her to lower her hand that last distance.

Devyn was not really sure if Skylar had understood her question or not, she had given it as a yes or no so all the girl would have to do it shake her head in response. It would be really creep if Skylar had just opened up her mouth and started to speak while she was in the form. So creepy in fact that Devyn was not sure how she would react. Would she attack or just sit there. Running was not an option, but the other two were highly possible. Devyn tilted her head back at seeing Skylar's head tilt to the side as well. So was that her answer? Did Skylar not know if it hurt? How did you not know if something hurt or not. Sure you could be the type to enjoy pain, but you still had to recognize that you were in fact feeling pain, unless that nerve was turned off.

I'm going to assume it’s a no. Devyn thought to herself as she looked over the leopard for a moment. Skylar looked like any other normal leopard out there. She could practically live in the wild. Devyn bet that the girl definitely had to fight against an inner beast of sorts. Devyn could relate. The more wild a creature was, the more it wanted to do whatever it wanted. Humans may have been able to tame beast, but they were never fully train, people could never forget that the animal was still wild deep down inside. Only the domesticated one was really safe. Sure Devyn figured if people bred in captivity and had the animals around them a lot at some point they might become domesticated, but that was just a guess. Devyn was about to pet the girl but the snow leopard was shaking her head no. Was she changing her mind about allowing Devyn to touch her? No, Skylar was moving closer and looking like she really wanted to be petted. What was going on in her head? Devyn thought as she laid her hand down on the snow leopards soft head.

"Wow, you really are soft, and warm." Devyn said with a smile on her face and she pet Skylar, moving to scratch the top of her head, behind both her ears at the same time, under her chin, and then moving down her neck. Devyn had a friend who was basically a cat so she had no issue scratching and petting this big cat. Heck, she could not even stop herself anymore as she kind of pounced on the snow leopard. Arms going to wrap around the creature and snuggle into Skylar's side. "Best body pillow, right here." Devyn teased, stroking Skylar's back, wondering how Skylar was going to feel about Devyn having gotten so close and basically laying right next, and cuddled up to the snow leopard. Devyn had no fear; she was not really worried about Skylar losing control. She figured she be able to defend herself long enough.

Skylar was so happy when the girl said she was soft, It looks like grooming all the time really paid off then. She sat as still as possible as the girl looked at her, she never thought about how Devyn seemed so fearless, although if she have it a though it would be pretty obvious. Ohhh, that feels so good... she thought as she began to purr, she lifted her chin up as Devyn's hands moved to her neck. She closed her eyes, enjoying the scratching and rubbing. She chuckled inside, Ohh, she's a keeper... she thought, still purring. Someone this good at petting a cat? Hell yeah, she was definitely going to try to keep Devyn as a close friend.

She hadn't noticed till now, how much she longed for the touch of someone else while she was shifted. She stopped shifting while others were around since the incident, although she knew short periods of time were ok, she still didn't want to risk it. She was deep and thought and tensed up when two arms wrapped around around her, a body soon following. It's just Devyn, it's just Devyn... she said relaxing again, she rested her head back down on her front paws.

"Best body pillow, right here."

Skylar let out a huff of laughter, she felt Devyn's cool body against her fur, for once she felt like she didn't have to worry about losing control. But only for a moment, Who am I kidding, she said, sighing inside, I don't care if they are strong, I can never really relax, not yet at least. she thought hopefully, Maybe someday I will get rid of him. She tried to get as close as possible to Devyn, to warm her up of course, yeah... that's why... maybe. She tried to get her tail to wrap over Devyn, but sometimes it did it's own thing and just flicked back and forth. She continued to purr, she felt stronger when she was near Devyn, was it love? No, couldn't be... It's was a friend. Devyn was Skylar's closest friend at the moment, she's not sure how it ended up that way, she usually tried to stay by herself. She chuckled as she thought about it, The students here sure are something, a quiet puff of air, Maybe this is just my year to start out anew. Yeah, she liked that idea. She did her best to make it comfortable for Devyn to lie against her, she ended up on her side with her legs outstretched, her tail flicked up, then onto the ground silently. She lied there, breathing rhythmically, thinking about Devyn often.

Devyn did in fact enjoy petting people, a lot. It was soothing, soft, and warm; especially now when Devyn was not really wearing much and it was still pretty cold outside. Devyn tended to be a mix of comfortably warm or pretty cold. Seeing as she had been in her shadow beast form she was pretty cold. The purring was very nice, Devyn liked to hear it. That’s why she made sure with Kitty she learned all the spots her cat friend loved to be scratched and petted. Having something curled next to you, living, breathing, and warm...it really did make Devyn happy. A lot more relaxed. She was a loner yes, but she did enjoy physical contact a lot. So having Skylar here in this form was nice. Heck Devyn would probably been fine with snuggling close to Skylar if she was in her human form.

Devyn was watching Skylar still, even if she was not really worried about what could happen. She felt the slight tenseness in the snow leopards body, figuring it to be because she might not have been used to someone being this close to her while she was shifted. She could feel and also saw that Skylar seemed to relax after a moment and even let out a huff sound. "Hey, did you just laugh at me? I'm serious; you would be a nice body pillow." Devyn said with a slight chuckle, feeling Skylar getting closer to her. Assuming Skylar was just trying to help warm her up, which was nice. Devyn moving a hand back up to scratching under Skylar's jaw and then ran her fingers through the snow leopards fur, enjoying the purring. However she thought big cats could not purr, then again they made sounds close to it, and she could have been getting her information confused.

This is nice. Devyn thought to herself as she felt a wave of sleepiness return to her. She had been disturbed from her sleep from her power having taken over. Plus she was really warm and cozy against the snow leopard. Devyn had this problem, where at least she saw it as a problem. When you had a one night stand with a person it was best to get out of there before they woke up. However Devyn would get to comfy with someone holding onto her or snuggled in close and would end up just full falling asleep. On top of that she was a slow riser, it taking her a little bit before she was fully awake. "I might fall asleep." Devyn managed to say, followed by a yawn. She didn’t want to just fall asleep on the girl or anything, even less since they were in the woods. Well...Devyn had fallen asleep in the woods before, but she was better dressed then. "I'll have to get your phone number so I can call you for when we can train together." Devyn said with a slight chuckle as she still sort of held and pet Skylar.

Skylar had already started her dissent into the depths of slumber when Devyn spoke to her.

"I might fall asleep."

Ahh, sleep. she let out a sort of growling yawn and began to shift her position. Skylar looked at Devyn again, It probably wouldn't be fun for her to sleep out here... she reached out with her paws and stretched, unsheathing and sheathing her claws in the dirt. She began to sort of wiggle around in Devyn's grip, she didn't want to leave but she also didn't want Devyn to sleep out in the forest, I'll just shift back, give her my number and walk her to her room, then go home. No prob-- If she could have, she probably would have hit her head against a tree at that moment. You're not exactly wearing any clothes stupid... or at least you won't be when you shift back ('cept for her undergarments). this threw her plans for a spin, she didn't just want to leave Devyn without saying a proper goodbye, but she was also unsure of how to make it back. Nobody would be up and about right now. she said to herself. What was her plan 'B' if someone caught her? Run like hell.

She looked at the moon, It's probably around 2 or 3... maybe 4. Pretty late after cerfew, not that many or any security would be around. she guessed, she was awful at telling time, her best guesses were when she could see the sun coming up. She decided ton just wing it, as soon as she was let go, she would shift back, Behind a tree or a bush? Uh, meh, Devyn seems to be the type that wouldn't care... I mean, I wouldn't mind... After determining it would be alright to just shift back in front of Devyn, she would get the girl's number and then see if Devyn needed to be walked back to her dorm, even though she figured she wouldn't need it, she just liked to be around her.

Shifting was so tedious, especially when you had more important things on your mind, or people. A friend... One that shifts into another badass creature. she chuckled. She had thought about changing in Devyn's arms but decided against that, Too weird. She thought about it though, Would it though? she left the thought unanswered, pushing it away for now.

Devyn let out another chuckle at hearing the growl yawn escape from the snow leopard as she moved around in Devyn's arms. "Ah, you were about to doze off there too?" Devyn asked in a teasing manner, watching Skylar stretch out and wiggle around. Devyn gave her a good scratch on the scruff of her neck, going to pull her arms away from Skylar to let her go. She would not have minded if Skylar shifted while she was holding her, but that might have ended up painful. Skylar was in a way smaller like this, so growing back and turning back into a larger form while someone was holding you might hurt. At least how Devyn was picturing it, it didn’t sound too enjoyable. Heck Devyn was not sure how she would feel if she felt someone’s bones popping in moving in her grip. It makes her feel like she was hurting them, crushing them. It was surely drag out the inner beast in Devyn, hearing the internal movement inside of someone.

"Be free." Devyn said with a chuckle as she removed her arms from Skylar and moved to sit up. Dusting off any of the forest floor that had decided to cling to Devyn’s skin, and then going to stand up. Letting out a large yawn and giving a big stretch, making sure she heard her back and arms crack before she let out a breath. Nice. Devyn thought feeling all loose, but man was she sleepy. Giving her eyes a rub she looked up at the sky for a moment and then around the forest. She should have been able to find her way back and when she did, she would crawl up back into her window, close it, and immediately go back to bed. She did have class in the morning and she already knew she was most likely going to end up napping in her first class.

"Should I close my eyes to let you shift back?" Devyn asked as she looked over to the snow leopard with a smirk on her face. "You were already in your underwear when you shifted, so do they survive a second shift? Or are you going to be naked?" Devyn asked, in fact curious about that. If Skylar's clothing didn’t make it, she could help the girl out. She did have pj pants on and boxers on, so she could hand over her pj pants for the other girl if she needed them. As for her shirt, well Devyn was fine walking around without one if she had to. She didn’t have a large chest so it was not embarrassing or anything. So she was willing to help Skylar out that way if Skylar needed it. Looking away from the other girl to still give her privacy either way, hooking her thumbs between her pj pants and her boxers once more.

"Be free." The other girl said as se let her go.

Skylar slowly stood up and padded around in a circle, looking for a comply place to sit, Ah, perfect. she said as she sat down. She yawned once more than focused on shifting back, she paid close attention to what it felt like shifting back, absorbing all the details. She turned black again, she shifted into being a human within moments, but for her, it felt like a few minutes. Her skin prickled and tingled everywhere, then as if it were on a switch, nothing. Just blackness. She was in a squatting position when she opened her eyes, she stood up, "Just wonderful." she mumbled sleepily, she didn't get lucky with her shorts this time. She looked at the back of Devyn's head and let out a chuckle, "No, I always have at least some sort of clothing on when I shift back." she smirked, as she brushed off a few leaves that were stuck in her hair and her arms. She gave her shoulders a roll, popping them, then walked just behind Devyn, "I can walk ya home if you'd like, or at least make sure you get home." She had so many things she wanted to tell and ask Devyn, she simply couldn't choose them all though, "Oh, when you asked if it hurt, I get all tingly, like when your foot or hand falls asleep, it's like that, then I guess I just black out, I'm not quite sure, but it all just goes away, and when I open my eyes again, I've shifted. And as for the phone thing," she said frowning a bit, she still chuckled when she looked down at herself,"I don't really have my phone or anything I could use to write down a number, maybe we could meet up somewhere tomorrow. Exchange numbers in the hall or something if you're too busy tomorrow night." she said giving her a shrug. She smirked, "Or if you're too cool to see or talk with me in the halls, I live in room 210, co-ed dorms. I'm there most afternoons if you ever feel like stopping by." Her cheeks blushed a bit, she scratched her head, softly chuckling, "Uh-huh, sorry for all the rapid questions. I think a lot as a leopard and not being able to respond, well, I'd like to respond, so I just do it at a later time." That's how it used to work at least. She didn't mention how she never changed back into a human in front of others, ever, until tonight.

Devyn kept herself occupied with her thoughts and looking up at the night sky while she waited for Skylar to change back. She was listening in case she heard bones cracking or anything like that, but she didn’t. So it was still leaving her wondering if shifting hurt Skylar or not. Devyn closed her eyes for a moment, feeling a chill go across her body at feeling the slight breeze that blew by. Then she heard Skylar's voice behind her, she was about to turn around to get a look at the girl, but Skylar moved and was standing behind her. "Well that’s good. My one friend is not so lucky and ends up naked after she shifts." Devyn said and started to snicker as she remembered how she would go find the places where Kitty would hide her clothing, and how Devyn would snag Kitty's underwear and hide them somewhere else. Yes, Devyn was slightly naughty and evil like that, but it was only fair. Her and Kitty teased each other back and forth often.

"Walk me home? I'm seventeen years old. I can handle myself. I think what you meant to say was if I could walk you home." Devyn said in a teasing manned as she glanced back to look at Skylar. She was alright with the other girl behind behind her, but not for long. Devyn paid close attention to Skylar's description of how she felt when she shifted. So no pain, tingly feeling, and then black out. That must have been nice, not feeling anything when your body was changing. So then there had to be a little downside to that. Maybe Skylar could not shift as often or if she did she would get horribly ill. Devyn didn’t know and she figured it didn’t really manner, since if they were going to be sparring partners Devyn figured she find out soon enough. "That could work. Meet up at the training rooms or the arena, exchange information, and then have a quick sparing match." Devyn suggested as she moved so she could turn around and face Skylar, pausing a moment because of a comment Skylar made.

Do people think that about me? Devyn wondered for a moment, since Skylar said the whole too cool to talk to someone in school. Devyn was not like that; at least she did not try to be. She only didn’t really talk to people because she liked to be alone or she didn’t like them. However if she liked someone or they were her friend she would not have a problem talking to them. Skylar was quick to provide her room number and that she hung out there. Man if I was a stalker or a kidnapper this girl just told me everything I needed to know. Devyn thought, still always amazed at how people seemed to be so open to telling her things. Her eyes drifted down for a moment and she could not help but to smirk, turning to the side and starting to slide down her pj pants. Revealing her black boxers with skulls on them. "It’s fine. I don’t mind a lot of questions, but you might want to put these on so my eyes stay up and not drift down." Devyn said not looking at Skylar as she held out her pj pants towards the other girl, being respectful, but could not wipe the smirk off her face.

"Walk me home? Only if you want to sugar." she said smirking, she winked at the back of her head. Even if she didn't see it, the wink still happened. she thought, laughing at herself inside. She smiled as she mentioned the arena, "Oh right! The arena would be a lovely place, I don't partake in any sports or after school activities yet, unless you consider a nap an after school activity." she said laughing a bit. "So, with that said, I'm free pretty much anytime after school. If you have anytime you would prefer to meet, just let me know, I'll be there."

Skylar frowned when Devyn paused after she had asked if the other girl was too cool for Skylar. "Hey, I didn't mean it that way (in a bad way). It was just a joke, I never knew you until tonight, which means nobody has said anything about you negatively." She instantly regretted asking that question, she didn't want to leave on that sour note. She chuckled after giving the girl her number, "If you ever feel like kidnapping someone, you have my permission." she said teasingly, giving her a wink and even blowing her a kiss. She chuckled somemore, flirting was not her specialty.

She laughed, hard, when the girl offered her her pj pants, she waved her offer down then slapped the side of her butt, "We're gonna past, I'm feeling a little risky tonight. I mean, what's better than being out last curfew, running around in your underwear?" she said pausing her laughter to raise an eyebrow at Devyn, she began to laugh again. Oh boy, I am totally going insane and against everything I've taught myself since I came into my powers... she sighed a bit as her laughter died down a bit, she wiped a tear from one of her eyes, "Alrighty, what do you say we get ourselves home?"

Devyn snickered and shook her head at Skylar turning her words around about walking her home. That was pretty good, Devyn would give her that, but it was still leaving her confused. So was she walking Skylar home or where they going to go their separate ways. Devyn didn’t really need someone to walk her to her room. In fact they were both headed for the same area. The dorms. Devyn lived in the girls dorms, and she bet that Skylar lived in the Co-Ed dorms. She was not sure, but that was her guess since most people she met wanted or lived in the Co-Ed dorms. Devyn used to live in them but liking both genders, it was just too much of a temptation when she leaves her room. She didn’t mess around with her roommates, so that was not the problem. Granted Devyn was finding she liked to be around girls more often in terms of relationships so she was blaming living in a building full of girls for that, at least a little bit.

"Alright, then we can meet up there in like...two days? Passed twelve for sure. I don’t do so well in the sun." Devyn pointed out, not like she was going to melt, but she was going to have to have shades on either way if they were not meeting up at night, since her eyes were sensitive to light. Devyn smiled at her and chuckled a little, having only thought about it, not taking as bad at Skylar thought she was taking it. "Hey, don’t worry about it. I figured you were kidding." Devyn said as she gave Skylar a thumbs-up. Devyn raised an eyebrow at the whole kidnapping comment. Where did that come from? Did she read my mind or something? Devyn thought to herself, very confused by that statement and scratched at her head, unsure how to respond. Skylar gave her a wink and blew her a kiss which Devyn proceed to catch and act like she was putting it in a pocket for later and just chuckled.

I think she is getting loopy from needing sleep or I'm just too tired to process what’s going on. Devyn thought to herself as she rubbed her eyes and chuckled do to the fact that Skylar laughed at her offering her pj pants. "I think someone needs to get some sleep and be a little less risky." Devyn teased as still tossed her pj pants at the other girl. Skylar could take them and put them on or not. Devyn was going to leave them out here either way. They smelled of rabbit and snow leopard. Devyn didn’t have a problem with the leopard but the rabbit was an issue, even more so when she was hungry, but all she wanted to do was get some sleep...and hurt something. "Yeah, we should head back. Question still is...am I walking you back to my dorm or are we both going to take care of ourselves?" Devyn asked as she started to walk backwards in the direction of the dorms.

She's about my age... She's definitely not a teacher or a part of the security, she is probably in the dorms too, considering that's where all the student lived. We could walk to the dorms, then go our own ways from there. This thought was pushed to the side when she received a time and days. "Two days sounds great, it's a date."
Skylar winked then chuckled, when she said she didn't do well in the sun, "Don't worry, shifting seemed to make my eyes more sensitive to the sun, so I pretty much always wear sunglasses during the day when I'm out. On the plus side though, I can see better than most people during the night, even when I'm not shifted."

She let out a sigh of relief when Devyn mentioned that she figured she was joking, it'd made her feel better but she still felt a little bad. She laughed when Devyn raised her eyebrows when she told her to kidnap her, "What? I get lonely sometimes, lying around in my room isn't exactly super exciting either." she shrugged, "the offer is always out there, just in case you got bored too." she said with a smirk. That's it, I've either completely lost it or I need sleep badly. she thought as the other girl acting like she had caught the kiss and stuck it in her pocket. She really hoped it was the second one, now was not a good time to go insane.

"I think someone needs to get some sleep and be a little less risky." Devyn said as he threw her pj pants over towards Skylar.

Skylar scoffed as she caught the pants, "Says the one that strips down to their underwear," she smirked, "I don't need these but thanks for the offer." She rubbed and eye with one hand as she held out the pant back to Devyn, "Just take 'em," She sniffed a bit, making it obvious she was sniffing, "Oooh, it even smells like a rabbit"

"Yeah we should head back. Question still is...am I walking you back to my dorm or are we both going to take care of ourselves?" Devyn asked as she started her way off.

"Your dorm eh?" she chuckled as she jogged a few steps to walk beside her, Well, what a coincidence. It just happens that we are both students, and we both live in the dorms. I shall escort you to the building, then from there, you can go your way inside, however that may be, and I will go my way." She assumed Devyn had a way back in, after all, that was a pretty important part in the whole sneaking out or being out last curfew, you had to have a way back in. Skylar used her heightened hearing and smelling to avoid the security in the halls, or she just stayed out late enough to where they all had just fallen asleep. "If you have any qualms about my brilliant plan, speak now or forever hold your peace."

Devyn chuckled at Skylar’s word choice, but the other girl was right in the fact that it was a date. Not like a couple date or anything, but a date in terms of an arranged meeting. Devyn made a mental note in her head so she herself would not forget about meeting up with the other girl. Devyn gave a nod then. "Alright, so we will be sparing partners and sunglasses buddies." Devyn said teasingly, but was really planning on calling the girl her sparring partner, sunglasses, fluffy, snowy, or something along those lines. She was still deciding on a good nickname for the other girl, she had so many options after all. Devyn's night vision was pretty good too, which was why she was able to see Skylar without much effort or strain on her eyes. Devyn looked at the other girl for a moment, making another mental note. All the new kids seem to feel lonely. Devyn thought since she heard words along those lines many times now, and she understood a little, but not fully since she liked to be alone.

"I'll remember that and bother you again soon." Devyn said in a serious tone as she looked at the other girl. Yeah Devyn liked to be alone, but she was still slightly a 'pack animal' so when someone seemed lonely or needed to be 'looked after' she just felt the need to...from time to time. Other times she just wanted to punch someone in the face and tell them to grow a backbone and stand on their own two feet. Funny how she was more like that towards guys then she was with girls. Not that she didn’t respect both genders on equal ground; she just had a strong role model of a father so she liked that in males. "I get the best complements when I'm in my underwear." Devyn said with a wink as a sly smile spread across her face once more, shaking her head for a moment but took her pants back. If Skylar didn’t want them then no point in forcing them on her, Devyn just went right to slipping them back on as she walked backwards.

"Your loss. You could have bragged and said you got Devyn Solway's pants." Devyn teased with a snicker, since she doubt anyone would really care about such a thing. Not like Devyn was a hot item or anything at the school, it was more so outside the academy where she had the luck. Granted...that might have been a lie, since she seemed to be doing fine in the attracting people department. Or at least people were tolerating her flirting and taking it in good fun as well. Devyn laughed a little at Skylar's words of them both being student and living in the dorms. Mostly she was laughing at the whole escort thing, since she really didn’t need it. Devyn was five foot eight and could pass for older then seventeen, so she let the whole 'both students' comment slide. Devyn's hands hooked between her pj pants and her boxers as she walked, heading for the dorms. "Sounds like a plan, but I prefer to think of it of us just walking together since we are going the same way. However, you go to your dorm and I will go to mine. I don’t need an escort." Devyn said and glanced over to the other girl for a moment. "I'm in the girls dorm by the way, room 303." Devyn informed Skylar since Skylar had told her, her room number; Devyn figured it was only fair to do the same back.
