Chase is paranoid of people betraying him, but he was once fairly social and those skills haven't completely left him. He just needs to relax a bit. He can come across as a little cold, and he's a rule follower. His favorite things in life are gymnastics and his hamster.

FRIENDS:

His ideal friends are trustworthy people who will leave him alone when he wants to be but also do fun things with him. He'll probably make some friends who aren't quite like that though. Eventually he's also looking for some close friends, but with him, getting to that level will take a while. People who like gymnastics and/or hamsters immediately get in his good graces. Animal haters, not so much. People who break the rules constantly are also probably a no.

ENEMIES:

Backstabbers and people whose only purpose is to cause trouble for others. He's also probably annoyed some people in his years at Bellefonte and gotten ticked off by others. Anyone who's insulted his parents or Jimmy would end up here. (Jimmy is the hamster).

LOVERS:

Chase doesn't know his 'type' yet. His fear of betrayal means he's had no experience in this area of his life. A hot guy who makes him laugh and forget about his troubles might end up as a crush, love, or bedmate, or more than one of those.

Hey Lady! Fate here, should be semi familiar to you by now. I'ma welcome you and be the first to post in this loverly plot page we have here.

The one that makes the most sense to me is probably Chase and Kyle. Kyle's my newest character, and he's also eighteen years old (though a senior in HS instead of freshman in college; probly where I got them confused). Kyle is incredibly, aggressively outgoing, and also quite repressed in certain regards. I could see him as being one to help crack through Chase's shell.

The other being hyperactive Frank here. She pretty well spits gumdrops and lollipops, so I'd see her being less likely to snag Chase than Kyle (and with less plot potential), but she's definitely willing enough. She's likely to enjoy the hamster way too much though.

Another pairing that might work on the more mellow side of things is putting Chase with Zoe. If he's at all skittish, then Zoe's a good match for him. She's a complete sweetheart who's entirely too patient with people and helps bring other shy people out of their shells. I could really easily see her and Chase hitting it off, possibly with her wanting to take his picture, either when he has his clone out or just in general.

I've a veritable army of other characters that are all available as well:Elsa (the bitchy Bellefonte);Tim (blogger, activist and nerd); Demi (aggressive cult member); Humphries (cat staff); Charity (struggling trainer learning to be an adult); Nico (stoic, disbelieving ex-criminal); Matt (good old boy ex-vet, current barowner and trainer). Most of them have open threads, and that's often the best way to snag me.

“A hot guy who makes him laugh and forget about his troubles” That sounds a lot like Franck. He’s already got a lover and isn’t looking for someone else but that doesn’t mean Chase cannot have a crush on him right? Well, the fact Franck’s boyfriend is possessive might but it’s not like Franck will tell him. He could definitely be his friend, that much is certain. Franck is the kind to always try for people near him to be happy or at least comfortable and he’ll do the same for Chase.

Hello Fate! Yes, you're probably the person I know best here actually. :'D
Kyle and Chase could end up as close buddies. Kyle certainly acts confident enough to get Chase talking at first from what I read of his app, and that confidence might help Chase to be more open later too. Maybe Chase could help pull him out of his repression a little? Kyle can be a big part in pulling Chase out of his shell, but it doesn't have to be one-sided.
The first time they meet, Chase is going to think that Frank is crazy. But he'd warm up to her slowly, and I can see them having fun together. It would be good for him to have someone that drags him into insane situations. At least every once in a while. He's very much a rule-follower though, and will probably be that person who asks "Are you sure we should be doing this?" about every ten minutes. Chase also might have to limit her time with Jimmy for the hamster's own well-being, though anyone who likes his pet that much can certainly be his friend.
Zoe does sound like a sweetheart! Chase is skittish of people, and it's good that she's patient because that might be necessary. She could definitely get him to open up. He wouldn't mind being her photo model either. They could reach close friend status too if everything works out. The trick is getting them talking...
I did look through a couple of your other characters, and the ones I saw looked super neat. These three would probably be the best fit though. My favorite out of the bunch was Humphries, though I can't really see them interacting unless Humphries got hungry and went after the hamster...
What do you think? I'll keep an eye out for open threads with them, but we could also set something up. And thank you for the welcome!

Hello Bobby! Yeah, Chase and Franck could definitely have some interesting plot going on. I'm thinking at the very least friends for them, and if they get close Chase would definitely get a little bit of a crush. He probably won't act on it since Franck is taken (unless for some unlikely reason he didn't know), but it would still happen and might make things interesting. Thoughts? I'm in if you are.

But seriously, I can definitely set up something with Kyle unless you just wanna go with one of his opens. There's one involving studying in the library that might work, since I think his other main one involves demanding someone guide him around the school (but hey, nothing says that can't work either). I could also see Kyle just sort of convincing Chase to be one of his posse just because that's what Kyle does.

Ironically, Franck there (Bobby's) is the one who's quite frequently doing that for Frank. So if you wanted to wait until after Chase at least knew Franck, then Frank (mine) would have more reason to drag him along. i'm still game, and again, opens, yo.

I can also probably get something with Zoe too. Like I said, she's a lot better at getting people to talk now than she used to be, since she'd had a lot of growth. She also has a great knack for getting other shy people to feel comfortable and talk to her. So she'd definitely be willing to help Chase out with that. Easiest there might be to start with something involving schoolwork, though agian, the photography's open.

And I could totally sic Hump on the hamster if you want. It would not be the first time he's done that sort of thing, and I'm always game for more Hump threads. Could make for a fun sort of misunderstanding thing.

I don't wanna overwhelm or anything, so just lemme know what sounds like the most fun/plot and we can go from there ^.^

Thank you! All of these sound like awesome ideas! I'll go check your opens and will probably jump into one or two. I don't want to overwhelm me either, and I don't know who to thread with first! Probably Kyle though, now that I think about it...

That Humphries thread sounds fun. We definitely need to do that at some point. Poor hamster. :'D
