Beau did note that his girlfriend appeared to be getting all hot and bothered. Granted, he didn't know why that would possibly be, given that they'd just been talking about family and getting on a carousal and all. Maybe she was just getting wound up? Or maybe corndogs just sort of did it for her? If the latter was the case, then Beau was going to have to keep one on him at all times.
The scandalous gasp that came from Liz just had Beau chuckling, tapping his tiger. "Can't help it: any guy'd do the same, seein' a hot blonde squirmin' 'round like that," he gave her a look, letting his eye rake over her body a way that showed that he appreciated that part of her too. Why not? She looked damn hot, hottest girl that Beau had ever seen. Probably had something to do with the whole love goggles thing, but frankly, Beau didn't care.
"Best cool it down though. Sure there are kiddies about," he said, turning and looking. Sure enough, there were a few families nearby. Beau gave a friendly, but slightly nervous smile, as a mother gave him and his girlfriend a slightly suspicious look. He really hoped she hadn't heard him talking, because then he'd have to apologize or at least feel good and apologetic or something.

Beau's leer made Elizabeth punch him lightly, rolling her eyes at him. Of course, she also felt wanted. Like Beau actually wanted her, which had always been what she'd wanted him to do. Let's face it, the pyrokinetic liked being wanted by Beau LaRoux. Plain facts.
Just as he warned her, Elizabeth saw a little boy dart in between their seats, followed by a toddler and a mother who was shaking her head. The pyrokinetic glared at Beau before hiding her face in The Fuzz, chuckling. Awkward much?
Soon enough, the ride filled up and slowly the machine started moving. It didn't take long for Elizabeth to show exactly how much of a kid she actually was as she 'Whee'd and 'Whoo'd about. At some point, she reached out to grab Beau's hand and squeezed it.

The family did make even Beau feel slightly abashed. Though he just gave Liz a slightly apologetic look to match that glare off hers. Like people didn't expect randy teenagers to flirt like that. Though Beau still wondered if he should go apologize to the mother later. Well, it wasn't like they'd been standing right on top of the kids or that they'd been overly lewd...
Before Beau could really decide one way or the other, the carousal jerked into life. Beau grabbed the pole hard, chuckling a little as it set into motion. That chuckling turned into a whoop as Liz got into it, mostly wanting to match Liz. She reached for his hand, and Beau stretched out to grab the fingers as best he could. Their fingers brushed against one another for a moment, sliding as their respective animals took them up and down. They landed once, and Beau gave Liz's hand a squeeze.
They were soon going around again, Beau chuckling. He leaned on the pole, his arms clinging tight to the animal, enough so that he could actually move over to Liz and give her a quick peck on the cheek. Then he was back on the animal, his eyes sparkling with delight and mischief.

The peck on the cheek warmed Elizabeth right up and in the best possible way. This was happiness to her. Being on a carousel with her best friend, laughing their butts off and just enjoying the day.
When the ride stopped, Elizabeth hung on a bit longer, letting people go off first. She saw the mom and her kids again but they were gone so fast she didn't get the chance to say sorry so she let them go.
"Come on, lover. We've got a few more rides to cover." She said before sliding off her horse and pulling the Fuzz with her as well. She held her hand out to Beau and gestured for him to grab at it.

Hard not to enjoy just being on a carousal. Even one as simple and almost lame as this one. Helped when, well, the whole being there with someone awesome had already been reiterated a few times by now. The whole day had just become one of those that Beau would love to rewind and replay.
So he held onto the moment a little longer, as the ride slowed to a gentle stop. Liz made no movement to leave, instead remaining still while a family passed. Beau nodded and gave the mother a sort of half mouthed apology. The mom didn't seem to even look their way though, probably because her kids were already whooping and talking about heading to something else. Beau traded smiles with Liz before dismounting. He'd move to help Liz, but of course she'd already beaten him to it.
So Beau ended up taking her head, looking out to the fair. Yeah, they definitely still had some stuff to do. They'd do it too: heading through the rides and games, laughing like the pair of idiots they were. They'd laugh all the way through it all, holding hands, doing other stupid things that lovers did when they were together and just being stupid with one another. Then the day would end, as all days do, and they'd end up heading home, possibly even separately, though in all likelihood, they'd end up falling asleep wrapped up in one another's arms, welcoming what dreams may come.
