Beau nodded and made certain Liz got situated before crawling in with her. He might have snuggled a little closer to Liz than was strictly necessary, but he figured that was just part of the benefit of being her boyfriend and all. Wasn't like they weren't gonna end up squished together soon. Beau was already eying the little wheel mounted in front of them, absolutely certain that Liz was going to end up spinning it and, by extension, them very, very soon.
"Now we still wanna be able to walk," he said, looking over at her and tapping it. He could recall having been spun so hard that he couldn't move for several minutes after. In fact, if he recalled correctly, they'd both been pretty much wobbling idiots after that. "Get lighthearted enough jus' bein' 'round you, without havin' to---"
But the ticket taker had already filled enough of the little cups. Soon she was moving to do last checks of everyone. She gave Beau another smile that he didn't notice as she reached a little too close to him while checking their rail, soon going around to make sure everyone and everything was in order. The ride would lurch to a start soon after that, dragging everyone, the Biz included, along.

It was like Beau was reading her mind when he commented on how he wanted to be able to see straight after this ride. She giggled at the memory of the last time they went on this ride. She could walk straighter while drunk.
The compliment soon after was met with a slight blush, though it did change a bit when the ticketing girl came about. The way she leaned into Beau made her purse her lips but she still said nothing. He didn't seem to have noticed the smile she gave him so Elizabeth didn't think too much of it. No use getting jealous over something even her boyfriend wasn't aware of.
Soon enough, the feeling was replaced by excitement and an adrenaline rush when the machine went into full thrust almost immediately, sending the couple whirling around. Elizabeth, as Beau had predicted, started to spin the wheel as much as possible in intervals so they spun every which way.
"Omigod I love this!" Elizabeth yelled out as the world spun all around her.

And there they went. Beau yelled and gripped the bar tight. He made it a point, as he often did, to hold on as long as he could. His hands practically hurt from gripping so hard, but he managed, tightening hard. Well, managed for a few long seconds. Liz had spun them so fast that the entire world just became a blur of bright colors. Even Beau, determined as he was, couldn't hold on in that.
So he released. As he did though, he shifted, making sure that Liz slammed into and squished him instead of the other way around. Which just made the thing all the greater: lightheaded, spinning in circles, colors whirling, all while Liz's warm body pressed against his. Beau let loose another holler, thrusting his arm into the air. Just the one arm: the other had went around Liz.
Spin and spin and spin, slowing down very, very slowly, leaving Beau completely dazed. He felt the machine wind down but: "The world jus' keeps on spinni'," he drawled. He moved to kiss Liz on the cheek and ended up pressing his lips to her ear instead. Served her right: Beau didn't think either of them would be walking straight after this.

All through the ride, Elizabeth just kept laughing and yelling, enjoying every second of it. With Beau pressed tight against her, she let her voice get lost in the stream of screams all around her.
And as she machine slowed down, the pyrokinetic's body lay limp against Beau's, spent. She was pretty sure her voice had cracked as she tried to breathe properly. The kiss to her ear made her squirm and squeal. "No!" She rasped before she waited for the girl to come back and release them.
Of course her eyes were still on Beau but Elizabeth was too caught up and seeing straight ahead that she missed it all.
Stumbling out of the pod, she actually missed a step but quickly grabbed the rail and spun, slamming her body against the pod with a laugh. "Oh my god rubbery legs!"

Squeals, squirms, and such Beau was used to. He just chuckled at it, before leaning back a little, noticing how the world kept moving even though they'd stilled. He took a few more breaths, not moving till the girl came around. Girl came back to release them, and Beau thought he felt her hand lingering on him. He gave her a "the hell" look before moving toward Liz.
Which put him in a good position to help steady her when she'd started laughing. Well, mostly good. See, Beau had moved toward Liz, but the whole moving thing proved to be kind of difficult when the world was still spinning and all. Beau managed to lurch his way toward Liz, and somehow he hadn't fallen along the way. He ended up next to her, clutching the rail and her.
"Didn't I tell ya this was gonna happen?" he said through chuckles, moving to try and poke her. His aim proved awful, and he mostly thrust a finger into the air before chuckling. He inched along the rail till he could grab her, holding her close. "we should stick together. That way if you fall, you can land on me or somethin'. Be nice an' soft." Beau winked at Liz and tried moving them forward, his own legs a little better, but his world spinny, with bad aim and all.

"You did bubba. You did." She giggled as she choked down the urge to vomit but it wasn't so serious as they stumbled down.
"Huh yeah." She answered, agreeing completely to his suggestion before yelling. "The Fuzz! I need to get The Fuzz from the locker!" She shot off away from Beau and staggered over to the lockers, giggling as she went along. She bumped into a few people, the ticketing girl was one of them and Elizabeth made kissy faces at her before grabbing The Fuzz.
"On ho, sir Beau!" She nuzzled the bear and chuckled at him as he came over. "Okay where should we go next...Ferris Wheel?"
Beau chuckled as Liz agreed, chuckled and practically plowed into her. Thankfully Beau wasn't too much bigger than her, so he could just sort of run his hands all over her while apologizing for the few seconds it lasted. Only a few seconds because Liz had taken off in a shambling dash for the stuffed toy, leaving Beau nearly falling flat on his face.
"Hold on, I'm comin'!" he called to Liz, waddling his way toward her as best he could, gripping onto various things as he went. This included a few people, most of whom thankfully laughed as Beau passed by. It probably helped that he kept mumbling his apologies to them, raising a hand as if to tip a hat. Well, a hat that was slightly to Beau's right.
The directional sense mostly got better by the time Beau reached Liz. mostly, as Beau still ended up kissing the bear instead of the girl. He frowned at it, giving it a bit of a stink eye before moving around to said girl. "Works for me. Gonna need somethin' light to get my head on straight," he agreed. Beau moved to wrap his arm around Liz, partly because he could and wanted to, and partly to hit even harder home to anyone who was watching what they were there for. "Wonder if they got the same old guy runnin' it. You remember him? Looks like he walked outta the twenties or somethin', slicked back hair an' all?" said Beau, running his hand through his own hair. Beau was one to talk: from time to time he almost looked like an extra in a cheesy 50's comedy himself.

When Beau basically mauled her, Elizabeth couldn't help but giggle and squeal before rushing off in search of her bear.
Beau kissing the bear made Elizabeth chuckle before pulling him back and raising an exaggeratedly suspicious eyebrow. "Should I be worried about you, The Fuzz?" She asked the bear before peeking over him to look at Beau. "Or should I be worried about you?" She squinted before laughing.
Elizabeth instinctively leaned into Beau when his arm wrapped around her. "Mr. Duvall? Yes! And that striped suspenders he always wears...yep! Still him!" She grinned as they neared the ride. She took her time walking over though, Beau was hanging on to her, she couldn't very well disappoint him, could she?
"Hi Mr. Duvall! You're looking younger every year." Elizabeth grinned as they finally reached the ferris wheel. This time around, the ticket vendor gave them both a huge toothy grin.
"Miss Edison, Mr. LaRoux. Wonderful to see you both. And together. As always." The old man croaked as he stepped aside so they could move up the wheel. "Tickets please."

"Probly more me then him. I'm thinkin' he's jus' an innocent victim here," said Beau, tapping the bear. He quickly realized that he probably should've reversed that but, well, he wasn't the best at coming up with quips like that. Better at the whole gushing honey and saying syrupy things. That and remembering people, apparently, as Liz knew precisely who he'd been talking about. Didn't surprise Beau that she remembered his name too.
he too peered, grinning as he recognized the man as well. "As dapper as ever," agreed Beau, adding his comment to Liz's along with a nod. He was already digging into his pockets. There was a short pang of guilt as Duvall recognized the two of them, but Beau brushed it aside. He'd remembered the guy, after all, and names were nothing compared to the people they were attached too. He had the tickets out moments before Duvall asked, handing them off.
The old man handled them easily enough, tucking them away before gesturing grandly. Beau nodded, even bowing slightly. Soon he was escorting Liz to the ride, even raising his hand to help get her into the carriage. "M'lady," he drawled, even kissing her hand. Of course, they did have to adjust for the Fuzz, but Beau still ended up finding room enough in there.

"The Fuzz!" She looked at the bear with a scandalised gasp before dropping the act as a whole to laugh at Beau's words.
"Yep! That's the word I was looking for." Elizabeth grinned, pointing to Beau as emphasis. Mr. Duvall chuckled and shook his head before situating them.
"What a gentleman. Beau, you could learn a thing or two from our Mr. Duvall here." She ribbed her boyfriend when he got near, jokingly of course. Beau was already a damned gentleman, what with the whole...no not thinking about that right then. They were at a carnival for goodness sake!
It did help that just as she said those words, Beau was escorting her to their seat, giggling when he kissed her hand. "Why thank you sir." She adopted a Southern drawl just for that response.
Before Mr. Duvall locked the gate, Elizabeth slid her bear to the other side so she could squeeze beside Beau instead. No way she was letting the inanimate object be a blocker for her and her boyfriend. Not here.
"Thank you Mr. Duvall!" Elizabeth waved at the old man as they were moved up so the carriages behind them could be occupied. The pyrokinetic had to physically shake her hand to stop the heat from rising before she slipped her fingers through the power mimic's. "I'm pretty sure this is like the most romantic thing we've done since...I dunno, since prom maybe?"

Definitely dapper, and the old guy gave them that same twinkling smile, half-knowing look that said he'd so predicted that they'd end up together years ago and was glad to see that the two of them had finally wised up. Beau had grown quite used to that look by now. He could reply with an easy smile.
"Bet I could," agreed Beau, taking the ribbing and chuckling. He gave a nod to the guy, who, in Beau's opinion, definitely counted as being quite the gentleman. Didn't stop him from helping Liz into the carraige or getting things situated. not to mention the hand kissing (and don't think that Beau didn't find the drawl coming from Liz something of a turn-on). Yeah, they had to get the bear situated, but Beau even helped with that, especially seeing as Liz had made certain that the toy wouldn't get between them.
"Yeah, thanks!" Beau called, waving to the man as they finished getting settled in. He noticed the hand shaking for a moment, before helping take his fingers through hers. Beau raised it up to his lips, feeling the increased heat as he pressed them to the digits. "You doin' alright?" he asked, concern leaking through. She talked about the situation being romantic and all, but Beau would definitely put her good will in front of romance... if just barely.
"You don't need a drink or nothin', do ya?" he asked, looking slightly concerned. He didn't want them to end up stuck up top while Liz had to fan herself or something. They'd been in similar states before, and it definitely wasn't something he was fond of repeating.

Elizabeth grinned, her tongue sticking out just slightly between her teeth and her bottom lip at Beau's response. She was glad he could take whatever she gave and she definitely took whatever he gave in return, and then some.
The hand kiss sent tingles down her spine and Elizabeth found herself staring at his lips. Seeing them move, she knew he was talking but she didn't quite catch it. Blinking, she heard the end of his next question which had her shaking her head.
"Nope. No need. Got my tall drink of water right here beside me. No, not you The Fuzz." She patted the bear on the head before turning back to Beau with a chuckle, lifting her shoulders in amusement.
Leaning to the side, she brushed her lips against his jaw and smiled. "I don't know why but...thanks for bringing me out." She said, placing her head on his shoulder and sighing. "And thanks for not letting that ticket girl get the best of me."

ah, the tongue, a response that Beau had grown fond of. Just made him half-smile back at her. No reason to do otherwise, at least for the time being. He ended up far more worried about her condition and the ride and everything. A head shake took care of that, and Beau visibly relaxed, sinking a little back into the seat.
"Well, 'o course," said Beau, nodding. "Ain't gonna argue 'bout which of us is the better lookin'. I ain't gonna win that contest," he finished with a chuckle before leaning over to lightly kiss Liz's neck and give her a slight nuzzle. His head moved to take a kiss that was soon coming, and he had to raise his brows.
"Why wouldn't I bring ya? An' what ticket girl were you talkin' about?" he looked genuinely confused. "I don't see other girls so good when you're around, Edison. All blindin' and so on--" Beau might have continued, but Duvall hollered and flipped the Ferris Wheel into life. So Beau's words turned into another light chuckle as he gripped his girlfriend and felt the two of them lift into the air.
Though for all he knew, that could've just been a result of being around her.

"Aww, I'm sure you'll come up on top at some point." Elizabeth responded, not actually aware of the double meaning to that in that particular moment. She shivered once more when Beau was on her neck. She tilted it slightly and let him do whatever he wanted. It felt good, obviously.
At first, even she was confused. Didn't they encounter the same person back there? But she shook her head and chalked it up to Beau being a gentleman about it so she smiled and shrugged. It did help that his next words were saccharine sweet and hit all the right spots.
And then they were off. "Yay!" Elizabeth practically melted into Beau as the moving of the wheel created enough of a breeze to cool the pyrokinetic off. "Mm. Yes. Perfect day." She kissed Beau's shoulder and placed her head on it once more.

Beau did technically pick up on the double entendre in those words, but, being the gentleman that he was, he definitely didn't say anything about it, simply nodding along with it. He felt the shiver and did worry for a moment, before realizing it was less a reaction to her power or the temperature or anything of that sort. Nope, this was one of those shivers that he'd caused, and Beau felt right proud when he realized as much, grinning and everything.
She didn't seem to quite get his comments about the other girl, and Beau was tempted to elaborate. he all but hadn't noticed her, and probably wouldn't have if she hadn't been so insistently annoying. It seemed like Liz got it soon enough, not that it mattered, what with the machine moving. The breeze caught them, and Beau let out his own smile of satisfaction, nodding as the thing moved.
"You got that right," he agreed, scooting a hair closer to the girl. Beau adjusted so she could lean against him, making sure she got as comfortable as possible. They rose steadily above the fair, looking out over it all, taking it in. Beau let his attention wander for a moment, absorbing it all, before realizing that this really did feel quite romantic and all. He gave the hand another squeeze. "Don't reckon this moment could get much more perfect," he said, raising the hand for another kiss before moving to aim for lips for the next go around.
