Chuckling at his statement, a little pleased with herself of course, Elizabeth shrugged as nonchalant as ever. "I'm very well-versed in the art of following arrows." She bowed and pointed to the direction post a bit behind them.
She was busy being pleased with herself that she didn't quite notice Beau turning a little white at the mention of her dad. It was most definitely an offhand comment since the pyrokinetic spoke about her family all the time. Her dad would especially get a kick out of this because she had never expressed any love for stuffed animals since she was a kid.
Teenagehood did some very weird things to people.
"D'aww, my boyfriend. You're too sweet but it's okay. I like the fuzzy." She rubbed her face in the fur yet again, just to drive the point home. "And that's going to be his name. The Fuzzy. My God I'm a genius."

"Arr--oh," said Beau, his head swiveling to match the direction Liz pointed. He chuckled as he saw the post, nodding and rubbing at the back of his head. Yeah, he supposed he should've expected it to be something easy like that. Well, at least they were going the right way now: That was what really mattered in the end and all.
Though Beau almost wished that Liz would be a tad more girlfriendly. though, really, he loved her and giving... Mr. Fuzzy his weird name and insisting that she carry it fit well with Liz. Beau would just have to deal... and hope that she let him do a few other boyfriendly things throughout the course of the day. Though, really, he'd just won her a giant panda that she pretty obviously had won for herself. The thought didn't quite cross Beau's mind at that moment though.
"You're somethin'," he drawled. He chuckled and leaned over to give her a kiss. "I'm pretty sure that your grades are better than mine though," Beau paused as he pulled away. That opened up a conversation about where they were heading in the next few months, a conversation that Beau wasn't sure he wanted to have just yet. Well, he did; he just wasn't sure this was the time or place for it. They had a ways to get to the tilt-a-whirl though.

Elizabeth closed her mouth and giggled inaudibly as the realisation dawned on Beau. Damn it all, he was so cute.
Truthfully, there were things she could think of that Beau could definitely do that were very boyfriendly. She had planned for him to do the hammer thing, a couple more games that he could win for her and maybe, just maybe, the most boyfriendly thing for him to do was kiss her at the top of the Ferris Wheel later.
She had big plans for him today.
She chuckled just as his lips descended upon hers, she clutched at his shirt still even as he moved away. "Only because I don't frequent gigs as often as you. You know the only reason why I concentrate more on school is because as much as I love singing, you're kinda better at the whole song-writing than me, which is a bigger asset in the music industry."

Beau pulled back as he felt Liz tugging, making sure to fall in line with her. He hadn't meant to get out of pace or anything, but he did get excited at these things. Plus, this was, in some ways, their first real public outing as a couple. Okay, sure, they'd been out together and stuff, but this was them, out as it were, as them. Very big deal.
"I'd do more gigs if I could get away with it," admitted Beau. "The parents are pretty strict 'bout the grades though. No dippin' into the average pool," he chuckled. He'd managed to get a few "C's" regardless, as he couldn't quite wrap his head around history as well as he probably should. The "A's" in music and gym usually balanced things out well enough though.
"Y'know, we should totally think about duoin' up,' he said, nodding. "Like, more officially an' all. You remember that demo cut I made? We could definitely do a few of those with the two of us. I mean, we don't gotta, if you don't wanna an' all," he shrugged, "but I jus' figure it's somethin' we should give a shot, y'know?"

"As you should." Elizabeth agreed with a nod. "Besides, you've done well anyways. Above average." She nodded with a grin.
Her pretty high scores didn't quite reflect what she wanted to actually do, which was singing. She didn't mind that she had only been doing covers either. She could very well just make a cover band, since those are actually pretty popular anyway.
Beau's suggestion of them teaming up made her smile. She hid it behind The Fuzzy, not sure whether she should show how excited she was. She didn't know exactly how deep the suggestion went but to her, it sort of meant something pretty long term.
Of course, Elizabeth had always thought their friendship would go beyond Bellefonte but with them being a couple, it begged the question whether they would survive or not. Which was why she thought it was a pretty big deal that he was actually making plans. And it didn't actually matter to the pyrokinetic that he could have just been asking her about playing music together.
"That'd be great." She nodded with a smile, scratching the back of her hair, disturbing the bow in her hair a little. "You thinking of doing it here in Kalispell?"

Above average kept the parents off Beau's back and would help get him into a decent college, where he'd get some kind of degree, hopefully in music, though he might pick up a few business classes instead. He wanted to at least be able to contribute on that end, when he finally got that far. Heh, "finally," Beau had all but been ready to sign a record deal when his powers had sprung up, and that had been years ago. most of the locals kept telling him he was far too talented for this.
The waiting had paid off though. Beau was certain that he'd be twice as big of a hit with Liz at his side, harmonizing and working. They'd had great chemistry even before they'd made everything official. now they should be practically explosive, and explosive did great. He wasn't sure how to read her reaction to his proposal though. He thought she looked excited, and he wagered he was at least good enough at reading her to realize that much. At least, he sincerely hoped so.
"There's a recording studio a little bit from town," said Beau, gesturing in a nearly random direction. "I went there a while back, did some pokin' around an' stuff. One of the guys who runs it came to a show of mine," he shrugged, as if getting visits from studio owners was pretty much normal. "Though we could always head somewhere else if you want. Guess," he paused, rubbed at his face for a moment. Well, they still had a ways till the tilt-a-whirl, though the rides had loomed into sight. "Guess it depends on whether or not we're gonna be stickin' around..."

Oh she was most definitely excited. She didn't want to jinx it, knowing that if she put too much hope in it, it could most definitely turn out wrong. She played it off as nonchalant as she could but Beau knew her better.
She nodded as he explained the situation, listening intently so she didn't miss anything. Heading somewhere else meant leaving Bellefonte, didn't it? Part of her really wasn't that ready. Some things at Bellefonte were holding her back.
"Um...well..." Elizabeth pulled The Fuzz close to her face as she thought about it. After talking to Elsa and a few other people who basically said the exact same thing Elsa had, she was growing rather convinced that she should just stay.
"I wanna stay." She said, moving her face out of The Fuzz's furry head.

Beau waited with baited breath as Liz worked through things, no doubt thinking about the question. He fought to keep himself silent and keep his expression mostly neutral. He wanted to stay; he felt like he really should, given that his ability still snapped back on him. Plus, he'd gotten to know a few people here, not just the beautiful blonde who walked with him, and he really wanted to spend a little more time with them before taking off. He had to get his degree somewhere; he might as well get it here. Plus, Bellefonte was, ironically, the best school that Beau could get into.
So when Liz finally admitted it, he nearly whooped. He did grin, a wide, eager grin that made him look very much like an eager little schoolboy. "That's great! I was kinda hopin', since I wanna stick around too, but, y'know, didn't wanna, put pressure or nothin'," he shrugged looking away for a bit, feeling slightly embarrassed. "I jus' need to get a degree somewhere; parents weren't much into the particulars, then I can actually dig into what I really love."
They both knew what he meant. Beau reached down, giving Liz's hand a squeeze. "An' I'd love to have you 'long for the ride. Speaking of," he nodded, indicating that they'd come within a quick run of the tilt-a-whirl.

The enthusiasm exuding from the Southerner warmed Elizabeth's heart right up. Relief washed over her when she realised that Beau wanted to stay just as much as she did.
Laughing a little when he looked away in embarrassment, Elizabeth pulled him towards her for a small peck on the cheek. "Even if you did, you know I'm gonna make my own decision anyway. I'm just glad we're tallying up. Aren't we, The Fuzz?" She nodded to her stuffed animal before pressing it's face against Beau's cheek. "See, The Fuzz is very glad."
She continued nodding when Beau spoke about getting a degree. "That's good. Just study something that you kinda like so it'll be easier." It was such bad advice but Elizabeth was pretty sure Beau wanted to concentrate on his music first and foremost.
The hand squeeze was met with one of her own and she smiled softly at the gesture. It was hard to hide the smile when Beau expressed how he wanted her by his side. She was about to respond when she saw the tilt-a-whirl machine. "Whee!" She jumped and ran across to where the line started and rummaged through her pocket for the ticket to get on. "Do you have tickets?" She turned to ask Beau, again linking her arms through his.

Beau let himself get pulled, chuckling and taking the peck. The smile didn't dim as Liz continued; he'd pretty well figured that she'd just go ahead and do whatever she wanted, regardless of what he decided. He did jerk his head back slightly when "the Fuzz" got close as well.
Advice was good though, and Beau nodded along with it. He probably would've responded with something a little more definite, but Liz had already taken off toward the line, literally dragging Beau with her. not that he had to struggle all that mightily to catch up with her. Soon enough, they were in line, and not soon after that, he was digging into his pockets.
"'course I got tickets," he said. He pulled out a folded bunch of them, holding them up to show Liz. Then Beau craned his neck to get a look at the information signs, reading prices and such, pulling off the right amount for two. "Now, you ain't gonna end up pukin' on me or nothing, right?" he asked, looking over at her, a brow quirked upward. "'cuz I ain't sure that I'd be able to handle somethin' like that. Spoil the mood an' all."
They moved closer regardless. not that many people in front of them and the line was moving at a good clip; wouldn't be long at all till they were on the ride and enjoying themselves good and proper.

Elizabeth pumped her arm downwards when she saw Beau taking out a bundle of his tickets. She pocketed hers, since he did say it was his treat.
"Oh wait, do I have to leave The Fuzz here?" She asked, her face a little contorted with her nose scrunched up and her lips in a little pout.
She shrugged at his question. "I won't hold it in if I have to. Sorry. Thems the breaks." The blonde broke into a wide grin and shook her head in amusement. "I'm good." She rubbed her belly as emphasis. "Although...I mean it would definitely be nice of me if I helped wash it off you right? Be all gentle like."

"Well, line don't look too long, maybe we can squeeze him in too. give us somethin' nice an' soft to push against when we're spinnin' round," mused Beau, craning to see if anyone else was doing the same thing. There were a few moms standing by holding some prizes, and a set of lockers where people could place loose stuff. Beau didn't really see anyone running off with The Fuzz. Be kinda hard to, really.
Plus, maybe the Fuzz could absorb some of the vomit that it sounded like Liz would upchuck. "An' I'd be holdin' your hair. Still spoil the---" but she talked about washing in a way that put certain images into Beau's mind and made him temporarily pause.
Which made it slightly awkward when the line cleared in front of them and a slightly bored looking teenage girl ended up looking at Beau for probably longer than was necessary, before looking at Liz for probably shorter than was necessary, obviously wanting the hot guy to move forward, and preferably without the hot girl who just so happened to be accompanying him.

"Yes I vote yes. Poor thing probably won't like being abandoned so quickly." Elizabeth snuggled the stuffed bear and laughed when he offered to hold her hair. "You're such a gentleman." She shimmied up against Beau with far more amusement than she ought to have.
She hadn't noticed the far off look he had as she eyed the ticketeer who was looking at Beau like a piece of candy. Wow, she really had to get used to this. Why had it been easier when they were friends?
Trying not to let it get to her, she grinned widely at the ticketeer and gestured for Beau to give the ticket. "Come on, I wanna get my puke on!" She chuckled, not meaning anything to it at all.
"You can't bring your toy up there." The girl said and Elizabeth pouted at Beau. "Well, Beau. Looks like it's just me and The Fuzz. I won't let him get too handsy with me I promise." She held up two fingers before chuckling. She looked around for a place to put her bear and found nothing but the ground. She sighed but marched over to the lockers anyway.
Placing the stuffed bear on the ground, she hurried back to Beau and slid her hand in his. "Come come."

Liz's insistence on moving shook Beau out of yet another of his reveries. He mumbled an apology before going along beside her, approaching the ticket girl and producing said tickets. He almost immediately started to protest when told the Fuzz couldn't go on with them, but when Liz seemed okay with it, he just shrugged.
Beau moved slightly to the side, letting a few other people pass while Liz put it away. While he did, the ticket girl complimented him on how good he looked, and he looked over at her, blinking. Did she seriously not get it? "Uh, kinda with her," he said, jerking his thumb back toward Liz, "so I ain't really--" Liz appeared before Beau finished, and Beau slid his hand in hers, giving it a little squeeze.
The ticket girl gave them, or at least Liz, a nasty look as Beau led his girlfriend toward the ride. He would actually escort Liz up into it, acting as if he were helping her into a horse-drawn carriage instead of a plastic bowl that would spin them both around. "M'lady," he drawled, pouring even more honey on his accent. He was also quite obviously immune to the glares they still gathered.

The pyrokinetic was quite eager to light some sort of fire under the ticketing girl but she did control the gears of the machine so Elizabeth didn't want to push her luck. She grinned sweetly at the girl and pulled Beau along with her, unaware of the little exchange he and her had.
"Why thank you kind sir." She responded with a little curtsy as she walked into the little pod with a grin. Once he too was inside, she pulled down the lock barrier and got close to Beau, stealing a little kiss on the lips as she heard the buzzer in the background.
She turned to look at him with a wide excited grin. "Ah!" She gasped with her mouth wide open with excitement.
