Finally, she shut the book and placed it back on the shelf where she first took it from. Initially she came to the library to return some of her little brother's comics that he borrowed but instead of heading back to the academy, Poppy Lockwood decided to stay for a bit at the Kalispell Library. She was not eager to get back where there was an ongoing prank war happening between every members of the school body, despite being a prankster herself.
So after five hours, oh how fast time flew by, the twenty year old slung on her messenger bag, smiled at the lady at the front desk as she made her way out of the building. Since she was unfortunate enough to be apart of the population that had a license but without a car, the girl had two options. Either walk all they way back to school, or wait for the bus. She opted for the latter.
Whilst she was waiting, her eye caught something from across the road. Or rather, someone which stunned almost every being in her body. Oh god, why now after all these months? The only relief she felt was that the man had his back to her. But that did not last long. Her hands gripped the strap of her bag tighter, dreading the moment for when he would turn around and see her because that was bound to happen.
So when he did, without waiting to see if he recognized her or not, Poppy instantly turned around and ran to the first person she saw. "Oh my god, it has been so long!" she exclaimed as she threw her arms around the stranger. "Where have you been?" She grabbed hold of his arm and then tugged him along to follow her, using him as a shield from the pair of eyes across the road.
