Poppy is able to manipulate gravity and its forces. Therefore she can make things float (like in outer space) and vice versa. When applied to something/someone, density does not matter. She is also able to manipulate gravitational forces/fields, so the objects attract to or repel from the Earth's core (mainly). Poppy can control the directions of the objects only by changing its gravitational field. For example, she changes the gravitational field of an object to a tree some meters away; so said object would move towards the tree because it is attracted to it. The directions of said object can be changed (again) if Poppy changes its gravitational field. This also applies if she uses it on herself also.

She can project her power in close range and is able to project it with a mere thought. Though a bigger range and projecting by thought takes more of her energy and gives a worse side-effect. Alternatively, physical movements help, for example, hand movements, because it takes less of a toll on her. When feeling any particular emotion strongly, she is not able to control her ability. This causes things around her, and sometimes even herself, to float or hover, depending on the emotion. In terms of "wingless flight", it is more like levitation. 

LIMITATIONS:
SPRITE enhanced her power to work within about a 20 to 25 meter radius. Since she has been in training for some time, and thanks to the SPRITE, she is able to use her power longer with lesser side effects especially on lighter objects. Lighter/Very light objects can gravitate almost as high as a two-story building for as long as an hour. Heavier and/or moving objects such as cars, humans (besides herself) and animals, are harder for her to apply her ability to and would only last for about 10 to 15 minutes. She can use her powers on 5 very light objects at once but only 1 heavy object at a time.

When applying the powers on herself, she can hover/levitate for about 30 minutes. Anything more than or at the max of the ranges would lead to the side-effects kicking in. Poppy is only able to change an object's gravitational field if and only if she changes it to another living thing such as trees (which is the easiest). Physical injuries makes using her power harder. Her mental health factors in as well.

SIDE-EFFECTS:
Common side-effects are tiredness and dizziness. Lighter objects does not have much of an effect on her recently. In extreme cases, especially going past her limits, Poppy faints. Poppy has trouble adjusting to normal gravity because she constantly uses her power on herself. The most visible side-effect, or quirk, more like it, would be her constant need to eat.

PERSONALITY: Poppy loves using her power especially on herself even though she knows it would eventually strain her. She is reckless and sometimes acts on impulse. Her tattoo is proof of this. She does what she thinks she wants at said moment without thinking it thoroughly which causes her to often doubt and/or regret her actions afterwards.

Her recklessness helps her to express her thoughts without caring what others would think. But this also makes it hard for her to make friends because she has little care for their feelings. She does not like interacting with people but at the same time she does not like isolation either. Therefore on her good days, she would make an effort to be nice but on bad days, she just does not give a damn. Though with family members, on good or bad days, Poppy tries to be pleasant at the very least.

CHILDHOOD: Poppy grew up in a nice home with caring parents. Since she was an only child at the time, her parents paid plenty of attention to her and fulfilled all of her reasonable wishes. Her parents and other adults complimented on her adorable smile and enthusiasm. She was a cheerful kid and relished in the attention given by the adults.

Every evening, either one of her parents would take her to the park to ride her bicycle. There are usually other children at the park but Poppy had never liked playing with them. Why would she when she had the undivided attention of her parents? Even when she goes to school, Poppy rarely initiated in conversations with the other kids. Academically, she was above average but socially, she was in desperate need of friends, according to the teachers. Poppy put some initiative into making friendships, but what was the point of it since they were only people she saw five times a week?

ADOLESCENCE: Her parents noticed her difficulty of making friends so they adopted a cat to keep her company. She did a lot of things with Coca-Cola and it became her best friend. The older Poppy got, the more time she spent with Coca-Cola. She still had a hard time making friends because while being alone, she learnt to speak her mind. Her parents encouraged it and she did not understand why some kids at her school thought she was rude and mean when she was only stating her opinion.

One night, 12 year old Poppy was doing her mathematics homework. She just learned about solid geometry that morning in school. The teacher taught the class how to find the areas, volumes and perimeters. While trying to solve a question for the fifth time, Poppy became really frustrated as to why she could not mange to get the right answer. Then the unbelievable happened. Coca-Cola floated in front of her. She turned around and saw her pillows and rug floating as well. She screamed; she had always known that her mother is a mutant and it is a possibility she may be one also.

Her parents were ecstatic and they phoned the academy. The very next week, Poppy was on her way to Bellefonte Academy. Of course, she bought along Coca-Cola with her. With the revelation of her power, Poppy grew to love what she can do and began using it more often despite the consequences. She loved going for training because she sought every opportunity to use her power. She mixed around with the rebels and enjoyed playing harmless tricks on the teachers and students. This landed her in the counseling room more than often.

Besides playing with her cat, Poppy likes to read so she entered the book club. Reading was one of the ways she kept herself occupied and forget how little friends she actually had. Furthermore, she is also in the dance/prom committee. Her power helps her to lessen the loads especially when it comes to decorating. Since she loved using her power so very much, she often ate afterwards--one of the side-effects. Poppy felt that she may get overweight, so she joined the swimming and tennis club as well (to work off the fats) even though she may not be that athletic.

ADULTHOOD: Coming into adulthood, Poppy was still the same reckless girl. On the night of her high school graduation, she and a few of her close acquaintances decided that it would be a fun idea to get tattoos to mark their transition into adulthood. What better way is there than having something permanent on your body as a reminder of graduating high school? In the heat of the moment, Poppy decided to have the words "FITE MEH" tattooed across her neck.

19 year old Poppy is now a student in Bellefonte Academy College. She visits home whenever she could to spend time with her family, mainly her little brother Trevor since he was born while she was still in the hostel. The SPRITE epidemic affected Poppy by enhancing her ability. She was ecstatic to discover that she could use her power longer and have a wider range without causing too much of the side-effects.

The effects of SPRITE has kept Poppy true to her reckless self. She uses her power to its limits despite knowing having to suffer the side-effects. Still in the early stages of adulthood, Poppy is excited to face the world with more control over her ability.



SAMPLE: 

"Come on guys, think," groaned Poppy. She and her few acquaintances, Sarah and Lily, have been walking for three blocks and still have not come up with any ideas as how to celebrate their high school graduation. "It's getting late and I am not ready to go home yet."

"Ara, we had fun. Messing with people, watching people scramble after their floating belongings..."

The three snickered remembering their eventful evening. Three graduated high schoolers decided to have a little fun since they have much more control of their powers now than they did back then. They did not cause harm, just irritated some people. After a fun and reckless day, they were not ready to head home just yet. Fooling around was great, but they wanted needed to end the day with a big bang. So that is how they got the fantastic idea to get tattoos.

"What are you getting Pops?" asked Lily while inspecting her new lily pad tattoo on the arm.

"I'm not sure yet. Everything seems bleh but I need something more YAS, you get what I mean?" replied Poppy, "and stop calling me Pops, that's old." She continued flipping through the various designs but nothing screamed out to her. This was a tattoo, not some random drawing. It would be permanently inked on her body. It had to be good. One of a kind. If she was going to do this, she was going to do it right.

"Okay, Poppy, better pick something out soon cause Sarah is just about done. Oh and how does this lily pad not scream yaasss?"

"Oh bite me, it does not." Poppy shook her head and continued scanning the design book...and that was when an idea popped into her head. If she could not find a unique one, why not make one?
