At the age of seventy years old, Lola Green had said goodbye to her driving life. Well actually, when she moved to Kalispell, she decided to leave most of her things behind in California, which included her car. Now, she relied on public transportation -- which was not so bad since she did not need to pay for fares and most people she met were kind to the tiny old woman. If they were not, then they would hear a small fit from her.
The question Tiana brought up had the old woman smiling sheepishly. "Well of course, deary! What kind of question is that even." Lola laughed along with her. She wondered if it was her grandniece in the other girl's place, Blair might not have found it all too amusing. In fact, she might just be scarred for life. "I hope you aren't mortified," she joked. "You know, if you wanted to do it again, just give me a call. Oh!" She suddenly remembered and quickly dug into her purse.
She produced her smartphone out. "Ah, give me a second deary. I think I remember how to do this." It took a while for the old gal to figure her way around the device, but then she thrust her phone into the young girl's hand. "There, key in your number dear. Don't think we old folks aren't as up-to-date like you kids," she said, winking.

"Well of course, deary! What kind of question is that even."
Tiana had to smile even if she was being ridiculed slightly for her question. She honestly wanted to see Lola again.
"I hope you aren't mortified. You know, if you wanted to do it again, just give me a call. Oh! Ah, give me a second deary. I think I remember how to do this."
Tiana soon figured out what Lola was doing and got out her own phone. A small portion of her mind did find it odd that she was exchanging numbers with someone she'd met and befriended in only a day. yet at the same time, Tiana wasn't bothered by it at all. She took the phone as it was thrust into her hand.
"There, key in your number dear. Don't think we old folks aren't as up-to-date like you kids."
Tiana had to laugh a little as she inserted her contact information. Then she sent a quick text to her own phone so she'd have Lola's number and could punch everything in. Once that was done she smiled and handed the phone back to Lola.
Thanks for everything Lola." Tiana surprised herself by giving the older woman a quick hug. "We really should do this again, so until next time I guess."
With that Tiana let Lola go and gave her a wave goodbye. She felt like she was dragging her feet somewhat while she turned to go, but she really needed to get back before it got too late. As she walked she smiled faintly.
