”I’m glad naked people in general aren’t common.” Tiana agreed with a laugh before she made a face. ”If they were-“
A shudder followed that train of thought as she trailed off and dropped the idea. She wasn’t looking to imagine that sort of image any time soon. It had already been freaky enough for Tiana to run into Lola.
"Pfft. Is there honestly any other way than that to be a teen? Don't worry deary, I've got a grandniece about your age and being a teenager myself some time ago, there is no problem with a little dramatic flair.”
Tiana had to laugh again at Lola’s comment and her word choice “Flair” made it sound not so bad in Tiana’s ears, although she still wanted to avoid drama.
”Sometimes I have to wonder.” She replied with a grin. ”Although if people only kept it down to a ‘flair’ then things would be a lot better. Some girls and even some guys I know seem to exist solely to cause drama.” She raised an eyebrow at Lola with a look of exasperation. ”I’ll bet you can guess how much fun those types are.”
Tianna shook her head and silently sighed, glancing at the lake once more. “Those types” were a fraction of the reason Tiana had gone out to the lake to relax in the first place.
"You know, deary, there's also another thing that helps.”
Just like that, Tiana’s gaze had returned to Lola and she looked at her curiously. it was easy to see the mischief in her eyes, and Tiana began to have an inkling of what exactly she was going to say before she even said it.
"Go ahead and take a dip in the lake.”
Even if she’d partially expected it, Tiana’s eyes shot open and she stared at Lola for a bit. After a heartbeat or two, she threw her head back and laughed heartily. The very idea of it was so childish and seemingly so stupid that Tiana couldn’t help but consider it.
”Right after I helped you out of that situation?”
It was definitely a tease, but Tiana couldn’t help herself now. “Why not?” she kept asking herself. She doubted Lola would run off with her clothes. She wasn’t the most comfortable with the idea of stripping in front of a stranger, but in her current mood she was much more willing to try. Despite her more rational sense disagreeing, Tiana found herself standing and preparing to take a dip. She glanced back at Lola and raised an eyebrow.
”Don’t you peek now.”
As much as Tiana suspected she didn’t need to say anything, she did anyways. Only when Lola did would Tiana actually strip down and head to the edge of the pier. With each step it felt like an increasingly bad idea. She did her best to ignore those thoughts and ended up going into a sprint at the end so she couldn’t change her mind at the last second. With a loud “splash!” Tiana had entered the water and soon swam for the surface.
”OH MY GOD!” She didn’t realize how loud she’d said it, but she hardly cared now. ”Oh my god I can’t believe I did that!” As if someone had flipped a switch, she couldn’t stop laughing. ”Oh my god. Aaah.”
