Casper and Jasper were still on rough terms with one another, a fact that was really bothering Jasper. They had never remained so upset with one another for so long and he assumed with the release of those hippies telling people in town about them, the two of them would have been okay. However; they still were not, at least not on the level they used to be and Jasper hated it all to the point that he didn't even know what to do. They would be around one another, but not right next to or close to one another like they tended to be.
It was really messing Jasper up to the point that he was certain Franck would get upset with him soon for really not dealing with him or anyone while he worked on trying to figure out how to fix things between him and his brother. Even now Jasper sat on one of the couches in the student lounge, looking at his brother who was playing pool by himself. Who played pool by themselves! They were supposed to play pool together.
Okay, distract yourself. Find someone to have fun with and make him jealous. That should work. Jasper thought as she looked around the room to find someone to bother. As soon as his eyes landed on Blair, he was quick to move over to her as he pulled out a deck of cards. "Hello there, pretty girl. Would you like to see a magic trick?" Jasper asked, putting on his charm as he smiled at the girl, and shuffled the cars.

Blair jumped as someone appeared before her. She looked turned her head to see Jasper Emory shuffling a deck of cards in his hands. He had a sweet smile on as he offered to show her a magic trick. She blinked. Did he not notice the earphones? Too bad she did not have any music playing. This was the third time someone did not understand her not-to-be-bothered sign. In addition to that, she had a book on her lap. Can nobody take a hint these days?
And another thing--where was his twin? The girl's grey eyes scanned the student lounge and found Casper Emory playing pool by himself. Curiouser and curiouser. From what she knew of them--from overheard conversations--she knew they were inseparable. Either this was part of the magic trick or they were not on good terms.
She also knew that they had a high physical excellence. She looked Jasper up and down. He did not look it but that was the thing about mutants-powers were rarely obvious. But he did look good. Not her type but good-looking nonetheless. He had called her pretty--didn't he have a boyfriend or something?
She smiled slightly. "Unless it is a disappearing act, I am not interested in magic tricks." Ever since her manifestation, magic tricks seemed more like just tricks than magic. Her supervision forced her to see every sneaky move by the "magician". This was a shame she because she used to enjoy this sort of thing.
Blair returned her eyes to her book. Harry Potter was all the magic she needed.
