Casper and his siblings were both apart at the moment as the two had disagreed on what they should do first at this party. They were not even sure if they should have even come to the party since they didn't really know the Erika girl who was throwing it and they were only sixteen years old. Yet, they two of them went after getting dressed. Normally they dressed alike, but tonight they even with wearing different outfits. They still wanted people to get them mixed up, but they didn't need to always dress the same in order to confuse people. Plus they liked to throw people off from time to time.
In order to throw people off that meant that they could not always dress, look the same, and always be at one another's side. Plus they had a small fight on the way here so didn't want to be right by one another side at the moment. Casper had held more interest in hanging out by the bonfire then his brother did, so that was where her want. He didn't see the point in going to a place where you would get to see attractive people in their undergarments or swimming suits. It would just lead to frustration and Casper didn't like that feeling. "Excuse me; can you pass me the marshmallows?" Casper asked the nearest person to the marshmallow bag. He figured if he was going to sit around the fire, then he might as well have a s’more.

Cassidy sat silently staring at the fire, seemingly mesmerized by the dancing flames. It was really quite similar to an aura, the way it flickered and shifted, filled with many subtle colors. He took a deep breath of the cool night air, letting it out with an audible sigh. Why was he here again? Right, because he heard "party" and immediately wanted to join in. He loved parties; or at least, he thought he did, but then Bellefonte happened and now he wasn't so sure. There were uncomfortable auras and lawbreaking abound at this new sort of party he discovered, not to mention everyone was older than him. So he'd decided to stay by the fire and enjoy s'mores, something he'd never done before.
Cassidy was abruptly shaken out of his reverie by an alarmingly familiar voice. He had to forcibly clench his teeth to stop his fright from being immediately apparent, although the blackness spreading through his irises would quickly give it away. When he finally processed the twin's words, he reached for the marshmallow bag beside him and tossed it underhand over to him. He couldn't bring himself to say anything and so he quickly brought his gaze back to the fire, hoping he wouldn't recognize him. At least a quick glance at his aura had revealed it to be Casper, and he was alone; Cassidy was in no mood to deal with the more aggressive twin.

Casper had his hands up and out, ready in anticipation to be tossed the marshmallow bag he asked for to the person closest to him. He didn't really notice who it was at first since his mind was more so focused on making the tasty treat that was a s’more then who was handing over the goods. He caught the bag without any problem, noticing how the boy who had tossed them didn't say anything and was basically avoiding looking at him. It only took a moment, but Casper easily remembered the boy. It was kind of hard to forget someone that had went all super bi-polar on you and made things get to the point where even Casper didn't want to be around him.
The boy; Cassidy, seemed calm for the most part other than the fact he looked like he wanted to run away or at least vanish right then and there. Casper didn't say anything at first, made it seem like he didn't even really notice or pay any mind to who Cassidy was. Really he didn't mind if the guy wanted to deal with him or not. Cassidy was just lucky his brother was not here before who knew what could have happened in that situation. Last time they dealt with him they wanted to pound his face in and form the world next largest crater. "Do you like s’mores, Cassidy?" Casper did speak up as he finished putting a marshmallow on a stick and then held it out over the fire. He didn't look at the boy, but he was in fact speaking to him.

Cassidy held his gaze on the fire, afraid the slightest movement would break his fragile composure. He'd hoped in vain that he'd never have to face the twins again. He'd convinced himself that he'd try to make amends for the way he acted the next time they met, but deep down he knew this would be what happened; he'd be terrified, not just of them but mostly of himself and the hidden darkness in his ability.
The delicate facade of strength Cassidy had constructed nearly shattered as Casper spoke up, clearly addressing him. He'd remembered his name of course; who would forget the guy who blew up on you and took jabs at your past? Still, the best option was to be as polite as possible and hope for the best. "Y-yeah I guess so..." he muttered, his nervousness getting the best of his voice at first. "I've never really had one before..." he trailed, casting a glance at the half-eaten s'more balancing precariously on the arm of his chair.
Cassidy fell silent once more, his dark irises reflecting the glow of the fire. The quiet seemed to press in on him, further stirring up his tense anxiety at the situation. Finally, he couldn't stand it and decided to speak up. "Are you enjoying the party so far?" he asked politely, trying to make small-talk just to ease the potential awkwardness. If he tried hard enough, maybe he could pretend Casper was anyone else and hold some semblance of a normal conversation.

The other boy muttered out words in response to Casper's question. He really had a hard time dealing with the shy types but he was sitting here and wanting to enjoy a s’more and the fire so he figured it didn't hurt to keep trying to understand the shy types. They were just so...stutters and so easy to react that it almost made messing with them no fun because it was too easy. That and well the last time Casper had met Cassidy the boy had been all kinds of all over the place to the point that Casper had been pissed off. Luckily he was not holding a grudge and was fine trying to make conversation with the boy.
"Do you not like then then or know how to make them the right way?" Casper asked in response to Cassidy's words. He looked at the half eaten s’more, wondering if it was not made right or if the boy just didn't like them. Whatever the case was, he was willing to show him how to make them or suggest remove a part of the s’more to make it something far more enjoyable. It just all depend on the other boy, but that required him to actually speak and for a moment there was a lot of silence between the two of them. It didn't help that Casper was not really the talkative twin out of he and his brother, so this was not easy.
There was a question then, one on how Casper was enjoying the party. He just gave a small shrug as his response but figured he actually needed to talk for this whole small talk thing to work. "It's alright. I'm just waiting for my brother to get bored being alone and then come over to be by my side again. What about you?" Casper asked, just being honest. Then he turned the question back on Cassidy, keeping the whole small convo going.

Cassidy considered his question, looking back at the s'more. Was it made right? "I dunno. I don't really have anything to compare it to, so..." he answered with a small shrug. If he'd never had one before, how was he supposed to know if it was made right? Either way, he figured it was still salvageable enough; he picked the chocolate out of it and chucked the rest of the s'more into the fire. He nibbled on the piece of chocolate bar as he turned towards Casper again.
Cassidy was a bit confused at the fact that Jasper was absent. Of course, there was no rule saying twins had to be together all the time, but it seemed like these two were inseparable. He was a bit surprised at the fact he felt some concern that all might not be well between the two brothers. It took him a moment to realize that Casper had asked him about the party in return. How could he answer that? He couldn't exactly say he was wishing he was anywhere but there, that would be rude.
"Uh, it's alright, I guess. Crowds aren't really my thing, y'know, with the whole 'empath' thing," he said, gesturing vaguely in the general direction of his eyes, which had finally lightened to a dark brown. Not to mention the fact that said crowd was basically a haze of purple and yellow, which sent him running out to the bonfire where things weren't quite so bad. "Plus, the emotions in there are a bit, um, uncomfortable," he explained awkwardly, looking away towards the fire and hoping that the darkness would hide how red he just got at that statement. Turns out alcohol and bathing suits led to some rather interesting situations, of which Cassidy really wanted no part of.

"Want me to make you one?" Casper asked. He figured he could at least be nice to the boy for a little bit. Unless he started to get all weird again, then he was likely to punch him in the face or make him into a s’more. Hmmm, a human s’more would be an interesting thing to see. Casper thought to himself for a moment at he looked at the fire. It probably would not taste very good but then again he never really liked the idea of actual eating someone as in their flesh and bones. Casper knew how to make them, he made them before, plus there was a movie he watched in where the movie basically told you how to make one.
He asked a question but there was a pause before he even got an answer, figuring the boy was distracted with his own thoughts. He just hoped the boy was not going to have like an episode or anything crazy like that. Casper was currently just feeling content, nothing that real big of a deal, and a little bit of worry on if this boy was going to piss him off again. He didn't want to be pissed off; his brother was not here to keep him in check. While Casper tended to be the one to keep his brother in line, Casper needed to be kept in line as to. If anything, Casper needed to be kept in check more than his brother if he actually got angry.
"Why did you come here then?" Casper asked. He didn't get if something was not something a person did, then why they bothered. Perhaps the boy was trying to work on being around crowds or something, but he didn't say that. That was why Casper asked, to give him the benefit of the doubt before Casper wrote him off as weird or foolish for doing something that made him uncomfortable. Casper blinked a few times at the boy's last words. Trying to figure out what emotions that he could be picking up that would be uncomfortable. "Lust? The desire to bang?" Casper just went out and asked his first guess on what emotion it could have been.
