Zoe fetched her coffee, taking a dainty little sip of it. She nearly spit it back out at Devyn's suggestion, then gave the other girl a short glare. It sounded almost like Devyn was making fun of Zoe. Zoe had just admitted that she having issues with the whole sexual attraction thing, and there was Devyn suggesting they get alone. Zoe actually felt a little flare up of anger, though part of her knew that was silly: Devyn hadn't exactly been subtle up till this point.

A quick apology buried that, and Zoe nearly sighed in relief as Devyn headed off for the corner. She soon followed, weaving her way through the chairs with some grace. She primly took the seat across from Devyn and attempted to get as comfortable as she could. Thankfully the owner had decided that seats in a coffee house should be so comfortable that you didn't want to leave. Zoe practically sank into hers, and she smiled a little again. She also appreciated that there was some space between Devyn and her. Not that a large part of Zoe wasn't screaming to paw at the other girl, but Zoe felt like that definitely needed to be brought under control, at least while they were in public. People wouldn't necessarily be kind to two girls seen together like that, and Zoe definitely couldn't take that kind of pressure.

She took another sip of coffee, closing her eyes. "The coffee here is just so good,' she said, opening her eyes and looking at Devyn. She bit her lip, lowered her cup and shifted. "I'm sorry, I'm not---I'm not being very fair to you, am I?" She sighed, lowering her head for a moment and taking another breath. "Let's just enjoy ourselves. We're on a date; we both like each other; we're both attracted to one another, so we should get to know each other better," Zoe nodded, then took another breath, thinking for a few moments. "Um, what do you want to do? Like, after school. What are your plans?"

Did she just glare at me? Devyn was not sure if she even expected Zoe to do that. Part of Devyn almost glaring back, but she didn’t. She must have angered Zoe with her comment of them being alone. She was just trying to help fix Zoe's current frustration problems. At least she was going to try, knowing ways to still please someone when they had clothing on. She didn’t think it be as satisfying as it would be without clothing, but it was something. The thing Devyn was slightly worried about was that if she did go to please Zoe, would Zoe be satisfied. She could use her knowledge and skill in the area of pleasing Zoe with clothing on, but Zoe could have been the type that it might not have worked on her. However Devyn doubted that since Zoe seemed pretty frustrated with Devyn just holding her close and saying certain things.

Devyn leaned back in the chair, sitting pretty much lounge out in the chair as she sipped at her coffee still, already halfway done with hers. She did get a small one after all and had been sipping on it for a while now. Not having to have waited long like Zoe did, thankful she had gotten a simple drink. The bitterness not really pleasing her tongue, but she would deal for the sake of enjoying the coffee itself. The scent was always an interesting one and while it was not something she would drink regularly, she was fine with it from time to time. Devyn glanced over at Zoe, before looking around the shop for a moment. Counting how many people where in the shop, then how many chairs where in there, and then trying to figure out what drinks each person had. Slightly wondering if anyone else in here was a mutant and if they had gone to the academy like Zoe and Devyn currently were.

She is a year older than me, so she will graduate before me, right? Devyn thought for a moment as she looked over to Zoe. Wondering if the girl was going to go far off in pursuit of her career in photography. "It is. Thanks for inviting me out here." Devyn said, being sincere because it was always nice to be invited out from time to time instead of her doing the finding. Typically it was the older kids that would seek Devyn out, so to have someone in her age group besides Kitty text her and ask to hang out, it was nice. Devyn blinked at the apology, slightly confused and therefore her head tilted to the side a little, but she just nodded. Taking one last sip from her coffee and setting the empty cup on the table, not having to think about her response. "No clue. I wanted to go into the military, but once my dad died I kind of lost that drive." Devyn admitted, but she lost the drive for a lot of things when her father died. "You are going to go off and be a professional photographer right? Travel the world? Work for some magazines?" Devyn asked several questions as she leaned back in her chair and slid her hands into her pockets.

Zoe nodded, smiling a little as Devyn thanked her. She then tried really hard not to smile, figuring that she was being too easy to please or something, but then she thought she should be smiling because she liked Devyn and she wanted the other girl to please her easily, which then turned into a mental image of a certain type of pleasing that no doubt Devyn would certainly volunteer to do, which meant that Zoe ended up blushing. She took a sip of her coffee, more to remind herself of where she was than anything else. She did look up as Devyn offered a real answer to the question, locking eyes with the other girl and actually listening. Military made sense for Devyn: she had the aggressive personality for it, and Zoe believed that they were getting more lax about their policies regarding sexuality.

"Well, I should probably go to college first," said Zoe, shrugging. "I'm actually stuck in Kalispell for the foreseeable future," she raised a hand, wiggling the gloved fingers. "They don't like to let students leave until this is under control. I didn't get my powers until very late," probably because Zoe had been a late bloomer in every regard. As far as she was aware though, she was the latest bloomer of powers about. There surely had to be someone.

"I did have a few works published though," said Zoe. She blushed and looked down at the coffee much, smiling shyly. "I also did a show, but just locally," she reached up to brush at her hair, her fingers playing with it for a moment before she squirmed again. She looked up at Devyn before speaking again: "You could always consider working for the school, perhaps in security. Not that I'm trying to tell you what to do," she held out her hand, her eyes wide. "I'm just, in case you were wondering or wanted advice," Zoe blushed and took another sip, taking a breath to calm herself. "Well, we've still got time to figure all that out, right? I'm going to be at the academy for at least another term. I," she bit her lip and averted her eyes, "I sort of missed a bunch of school when I skipped out because of my power, so I'm a little behind."

Devyn was now looking and watching Zoe again, her green eyes not leaving the other girl, her head tilted to the side a little still, moving to rest her elbow on the table, and rest her head in that hand that was waiting for her. It was nice to have eye contact from Zoe as she talked about what she had originally planned to do with her life. Honestly she still did not have a clue. What was she even good at besides fighting? She knew how to hunt, in both forms. She was alright in school and could pass well enough if she put effort into it. She mental chuckled at a thought of just being some porn star or something, but that itself seemed like something she could not do for long. Bet she get tired of it, plus she did have standards when it came to sex, even if she did flirt with pretty much anyone, age not really a huge factor unless they were like thirty years older or something.

"That sucks." Devyn said actually frowning a little at hearing that Zoe was going to be stuck here for a length of time. Devyn understood why the academy would be worried, but this was not a huge town or anything. It was just a town and yeah Zoe could make a living here, but Zoe had a talent. She was a really good photographer and Devyn could not help but picturing Zoe traveling around the world taking photos of models, building, or wedding around the world. As far as Devyn knew she was going to be able to leave at some point. She had already pretty good control over her power, even when she first came into it. That and she had three years already working on it, still always had more to improve upon, but she could 'turn off' her power where Zoe could not as far as they knew. "I'll be sure to sneak you away at some point then. At least for a day." Devyn said serious, eyes not breaking away from Zoe's, and she really did mean it. Even if it was just for twenty-four hours, Devyn would get Zoe away from Kalispell for a little. She look after her and make sure nothing bad happened as best as she could.

Devyn remained looking at Zoe as she talked about the things she already did, a smile appearing on Devyn's face at that. So at least Zoe was still getting somewhere in life. It was good that Zoe was not keeping herself a complete shut in with her power and was doing something she enjoyed. Devyn played with her empty cup for a moment, catching Zoe playing with her hair. So cute. She blinked at the suggestion and thought about it for a moment. "There is an idea." Devyn scratched her head, wondering what they would be like to do for a job. She could not help but to smirk a little and look at Zoe. "Not just saying that to keep me close to you?" Devyn asked, teasing of course, but looked away, hoping Zoe did not take that a bad way. She just nodded in agreement with Zoe saying that still had time before they had to decide things. "Yeah, and my offer to help you out with anything still stands you know. I already help Kitty out with her school work and I'm always up for helping out a friend in what way I can." Devyn said returning back to her serious tone of voice, remembering Zoe telling her about this before and understood. Granted if Zoe failed then they would still be in the school together and Zoe not off at college.

Zoe nodded, smiling a little. "We'll have to go for a date somewhere else then," she said, forcing some more cheerfulness into her voice and smiling. It did seem like a good idea, fun, even. Zoe could get away from this place and spend yet more time with Devyn. That was nothing if not a win overall. Though Zoe was thinking about the local parks and forests and such, or possibly some of the art shows, which she doubted was what Devyn wanted to do. Zoe knew that whatever they did would be fun though, so she'd go along with anything.

At least it sounded/looked like Devyn took Zoe's suggestion well. Zoe nearly sighed with relief when the other girl did so, though she also chided herself a little about it. Really, she should have known better; Devyn was nearly always sweet. It almost made Zoe wonder if she could actually make the other girl mad, though at the same, she realized that she never, ever wanted to actually do that, so it wasn't like she was going to try or anything.

Zoe was about to respond to the keeping close comment, mostly to affirm that she actually did want that, to some degree, but there was Devyn's offer of schoolwork help, which Zoe recalled from before. However, there was something new this time, and Zoe couldn't help but close her mouth for a bit. She shifted, looking worried for a bit. Just ask; maybe it's like with you and Ava, and you can explain that mess. "Kitty? I don't think you've mentioned her before?" Zoe asked with forced, obvious casualness. She was already internally wincing, knowing she sounded a little jealous and catty. Zoe thought about asking more, even opened her mouth to say so, but instead opted to take a sip of coffee, figuring that should cover it.

Devyn chuckled a little as a smirk appeared on her face as she looked at Zoe, finding it very cute that Zoe said they were going to have to go on a date somewhere else then. "Playing on having many dates with me Zoe?" Devyn asked keeping her smirk and light teasing manner. Playing with her empty coffee cup, spinning it around on its rounded edge of the bottom of a cup. Happy there was a lid because it ended up on its side a few times and there may have been a drop left. That drop that no matter how hard you tried or slurped on your straw, it would remain in the cup. Arg, just thinking about it made her...not upset but more so curious as to a way to get that last bit. She remembered her dad saying that a person would not want it anyways since the last bit was a mix of your own spit and the drink, but she was not sure if she believed that.

If I had the power to light things on power, I burn this cup and not have to worry about throwing it away. It was a random thought but a thought none the less, while she stared at her cup for a moment, missing the worried look on Zoe's face, but saw the movement and looked up. Wondering if Zoe was ready to go or if she made the girl uncomfortable. "Ah yes Kitty. Her real name is Dahlia and she came to this school around the same time I did. She is my Kitty and in other words my best friend. I bet she like to meet you at some point." Devyn said with a friendly smile as she looked at Zoe, honestly feeling like her and Kitty would get along. Devyn did pick up on the possible hint of jealousy, but was not sure. Kitty should have been the least of Zoe's worries. Devyn had friends with benefits with a few people after all. Should I tell her that? Devyn wondered, was it something Zoe really needed to know?

"You know I'm not a virgin, right Zoe?" Devyn just went ahead and asked, pretty sure Zoe knew or at least assumed. "I have slept with both males and females, most of which one night stands or friends with benefits." Devyn just went ahead and said, getting it out there. She figured Zoe should know. She told people that who seemed to be interested in forming a relationship with her, and Zoe was clearly giving off and saying things that indicated that she wanted something special with Devyn. To be girlfriends most likely. Devyn was technically single at the moment, so all Zoe had to do was ask really, but also prove it.

Of course Zoe just blushed at Devyn's suggestion, lowering her eyes a little. She obviously wanted more dates, many more dates if this one kept turning out as good as it had been so far (or maybe at least one more if this one somehow took an extreme nose-dive and turned into a flaming wreck). Zoe showed that with every bit of her. Just like she showed her semi-jealous nature with the whole little comment, which Devyn, being Devyn caught on with all too easily.

Dahlia, friend, did that mean fuck buddy? Yes, Zoe knew that term; she wasn't stupid or naive. She watched television from time to time, read a few books. Plus again, Devyn wasn't exactly shy about things. Which really explained the next line of conversation, with Deyvn outright explaining that she was, in fact, experienced, experienced and with a few partners. Slept with both men and women (which Zoe hadn't realized was really a thing and made her wonder about herself), and mostly one night stands. Did that mean that Devyn wanted a one-night stand with Zoe? No, they'd already slept together, well, not slept together, exactly, but, well.

They were apparently having this conversation though, thus making this the weirdest first date that Zoe ever had. Usually this happened a few dates in, but then again, the people doing the dating usually hadn't already fallen asleep in one another's arms. Zoe fidgeted in her chair, her mouth doing that opening and closing thing it did when she was nervous and working up words. "I know," she finally managed, flushing again. "Well, I mean, I guessed. But you know that I... am," she paused, her blush deepening, "a virgin. I think I said that already," Zoe fidgeted and looked away for a moment, taking a deep breath. "I'm just---I know that you're very... sexual. Well, I don't know, it's not like I've walked in on you--" she blushed and bit her lip, squirming again. "I'm not---I mean, I'd like to, but," she bit her lip, squirmed, then looked to Devyn, "can we not have this conversation right now? Please? I don't think I'm ready. I just... I want us to date, to be, not friends, but, um, I don't know, girlfriends? But I totally understand if you need to," Zoe bit her lip and squirmed some more, "um, need to, satisfy urges. I just..." she looked away, taking a breath. "I need to know that I'm special, I guess. That's it," it wasn't. She'd love to be loved too, but she wasn't going to just outright ask someone to love her, not on a first date.

And this definitely was a date.
A date filled with all kinds of uncomfortable conversations.

Broke her again. Devyn thought as she just stared at Zoe with her green eyes. Seeing Zoe do that very telling lip movement of opening and closing. Devyn was really tempted to bit it. Get it to stay open and say something, or keep it closed and busy with possible things that Zoe would not ask for or say. Then again Zoe was full of surprises still, even with her being easy to read. Devyn was pretty much picking up on everything, wither she was picking up on it accurately was the real question. Devyn figured this did have to be hard for Zoe. Devyn was a bit blunt and didn’t see the point in not being honest with her friend. Sure she could not have said it, but felt like it would come up at some point. Devyn having preferred to let Zoe now so she did not end up accidently hurting the other girl, because Devyn really did not want that. She liked Zoe, yes in the ways of being friends, and past that. Yet she knew herself and didn’t want to screw up a friendship over her being...well Devyn.

Devyn nodded at Zoe revealing that she was a virgin, didn’t come as a shock to Devyn. Going to be the first to take that away. Devyn's own thought didn’t even shock her, she was after all feeling a tad bit possessive over Zoe and because she had that mixed attraction for Zoe. Zoe was doing a lot of fidgeting and breathing, but she was still managing to get words out, which was good. At least she was not shutting down, she was still getting the words out no matter how chopped up they were. Devyn could not help but have a sly smile appear on her face when Zoe said she like to walk in on Devyn, at least that’s how Devyn took it. Then Zoe was asking to close the conversation and clearly starting she wanted them to date and to be girlfriends? Was that her asking me out? Devyn was a tad bit confused since it was not direct, but it was Zoe so she kind of understood. Devyn didn’t say anything, waiting for Zoe to be done and trying to process and make sure she heard right.

"So...you are asking me out and saying you are fine with an open relationship?" Devyn asked, wanting to clarify if she had understood that all right. An open relationship was honestly the best for Devyn, those one lasted longer. Only problem was someone would end up getting jealous and things would fall apart. Devyn leaned forward on the table, resting both her arms on it as she looked at Zoe carefully. Zoe wanted to know that she was special. So in other words she was fine with Devyn sleeping around but still wanted to be number one in Devyn's books. That was doable. Zoe was already special in the fact that Devyn spent more time with her then she did with those she was currently sleeping around with. About an equal amount of time Devyn spent with Kitty, but if Zoe wanted even more time, she figured she could do that. "I'm really sorry Zoe for making this a...odd date." Devyn said being sincere, she just could not help her nature of just saying things at times.

Poor Zoe. she flushed and squirmed a bit more; felt like all she was doing around Devyn was that. She took another quick sip of her drink, swallowing harder than she needed to. "We're already out," she finally managed to squeak. She wasn't sure about the whole "open relationship thing," mostly because she wasn't completely sure that was what it meant. She reached across the power and took Devyn's hands in hers, rubbing it with her fingers for a bit.

Odd indeed, Zoe laughed a little at that, again averting her eyes. "You'll just have to make up for it next time," she said, then, feeling a little emboldened, probably because she was holding Devyn's hand again, "or," she looked up now, her eyes dancing a little, "you can make up for it by giving me a kiss at the end of the date, and saying that we're girlfriends now," she smiled a little at that. Zoe was being careful, probably too careful. What she said gave Devyn permission and asked for something in return, but she also was ever so careful to word it so that it could very much be a joke if Devyn wanted to take it that way. It took all Zoe's courage just to hold that hand and say those words; surely Devyn would have realized that by now.

Honestly, I need to stop worrying so much. Devyn likes me the way I am, maybe I'll get lucky and she'll even love me the way I am. I just have to remember that I like her the way she is too.

Well, yeah they were out, but Devyn meant like a couple. She was going to say something about it but Zoe's hand was reaching out for hers and taking it. The feeling of the glove rubbing against her skin was what Devyn was use to by now. She had to get used to it. Zoe could not touch her skin to skin, at least not very long. Devyn didn’t mind the gloves, they were still nice and it was still a form of contact, a form of touch with Zoe. Zoe was right to think that Devyn was big on such things, because Devyn really was. She was very physical and had been for a while. So it did make her honestly happy that Zoe was not begging her to change or trying to change her at all. Devyn squeezed Zoe's hand back, holding onto it, and not letting it go.

"I will. With the next date for sure." Devyn said with a full smile, blinking at the or part, and then gave a slight chuckle. Give her a kiss and say that we are girlfriends now huh? Devyn thought as she kept hold of Zoe's hand and moved to stand up. Moving over towards Zoe, even if their date may or may not have been over, she was going to break one of her own rule. One that she had set for herself to play it safe, but she was honestly at the point that she was tired of playing it safe. She do her best still for Zoe's sake, holding herself back until Zoe was ready. However now, at the moment she was nor. Moving in to close the distance between the two of them, leaning in close to Zoe's face. Keeping a hold on Zoe's hand and pulling the other girl towards her so Zoe would not try to get away or dodge.

Pressing her lips right against Zoe's, keeping it brief to be one the safe side but kissed Zoe nevertheless. Keeping a close eye on Zoe to see her reaction, also making a mental note of how she was currently feeling as she would only pull back just a tad bit to look Zoe in her eyes.

Next date for sure, so there would be a next date then, for sure. Zoe smiled at that, feeling her heart flutter again. That heart dropped for a moment as Devyn rose. "Um, what are we---" managed Zoe. Devyn moved, still keeping Zoe's hand in hers. Zoe flushed again, feeling the other girl draw her close. Zoe looked up into Devyn's eyes, her own big, brown ones blinking in confusion, not sure what was going to happen or what Devyn was doing. A hug, maybe? No, no, Zoe saw the intent moments before it happened. Devyn moved forward.

Zoe felt the soft lips brush against her own. She immediately kissed back, moving her own lips to meet Devyn's, to let the girl know that yes, she wanted this. In fact, Zoe had to hold herself back, stop the kiss from deepening, stop her hands from wrapping about Devyn and pulling the other girl close and trying to use her body to thank Devyn for everything the girl was doing for her. Instead, they had a brief brushing of lips, far too short for either of them, with Zoe breathing, looking up at Devyn with affection and gratitude, for the moment, utterly stripped of all shyness or doubt about herself, about her sexuality, about what she wanted from the other girl. This, if she could have this, she could be happy, or at the very, very least, she was happy in this moment.

Zoe smiled for a moment, then her eyes went wide. "Oh dear, your lips!" she said. her hand went up to touch Devyn's lips, "are you okay? Oh, they have to be all numb and tingling and," well, Zoe's lips were tingling as it was, "and---" and what? They should do that more often? It wasn't fair; it was grossly, grossly unfair that Zoe couldn't get more than that, and she nearly felt like squealing with frustration. then her eyes widened, and she looked into Devyn's. "Our date's not over already, is it? Because I really had hoped to talk with you some more. It's not late or anything, is it?" she was already digging about, trying to find her phone, a little bit of panic fluttering forth, hoping that she hadn't missed some important appointment or kept Devyn from one.

Oh phew. Devyn had honestly been very relieved when she felt Zoe's lips press back against her when she had leaned in to kiss her. If Zoe had not, well Devyn would have felt like and ass and probably never attempt to kiss Zoe ever again. The kiss was in fact very short, Devyn not having been fully pleased with having to keep herself from giving Zoe a really good kiss, but it have to do for now. Even more so because Devyn had only felt Zoe's lips for a small moment and then nothing. Was she going to be able to deal with that? Touching Zoe's skin and only feeling it for a second and then nothing. Zoe however would feel it still, so that was good. Devyn figured she could deal with it at least for a little. Devyn was just happy to see that look in Zoe's eyes. Zoe and her just clicked so well, Devyn was not sure why and she cursed that Zoe had the power that she did. Wondering how far Zoe would allow her to go and how far Zoe would be willing to go in return.

She didn’t feel the fingers to her lips, but she could still talk since her jaw had not been numbed. "I'm fine. Take a breather." Devyn said looking into Zoe's eyes to fully let the girl know that she was okay. Sexually frustrated, wanted to kiss Zoe more, but she was alright. Not in pain, not convulsing on the floor. Just standing in front of Zoe, and moving closer. "The date ends on your call, however..." Devyn said as he voice dropped low to a whisper, moving to push Zoe's chair back a little, going on ahead and attempting to straddle the other girl, because why not? Devyn didn’t really care if anyone was looking; she was just going to sit on Zoe's lap, just facing forward. "We can talk some more, but kiss me again." Devyn basically commanded, but was still keeping the light laid back tone she had, having not looked away from Zoe the whole time as Zoe worked on trying to find her phone. Zoe was going have to flick Devyn on the nose or something, because she was already starting to growl low.

Fine, and Zoe did sigh with relief, glad that Devyn wasn't, well, convulsing or what have you. Devyn moved closer as Zoe fidgeted, and soon Zoe again felt that body pressing against hers. For the first time though, Zoe felt her knees grow weak. For she recognized the intent in Devyn's move, could practically feel it. Her heart raced again and she looked up at the face of her very first girlfriend. Soon a stunned Zoe was falling back into the chair, breathless and looking up at Devyn. The other was straddling Zoe, and the poor little photographer was all too aware of the sexual nature of it all, and she was suddenly very, very aware of how sexual Devyn was.

And how very much Zoe wanted her.

That sexual desire hit Zoe hard, rocketing through her in that quick moment. She'd never felt that way before. Ava had been someone she'd been attracted to, loved on some level, and there had been some slight inkling on Zoe's part. This was different; so very, very different. Zoe's breath hitched for a moment as her girlfriend kept talking. then came that command...

And Zoe responded. She reached up, softly cupping Devyn's hands, caressing her, feeling her soft features through the gloves. She reached back, circling her arms around the other's neck. Then slowly, tentatively, as if still worried that Deyvn might break away or say no, Zoe moved upward. She very gently brought her lips to touch Devyn's, just bringing her soft lips against the others, making sure to make the kiss as soft as she could, before parting, staring at Devyn with affection pouring in those big, brown eyes, her hands lacing around her girlfriend's neck, the shyness once again melted away.

Devyn still growled low in the back of her throat as she made herself comfy on Zoe's lap, moving closer, wanting to make their waist as close as possible. Still not caring where they were. All Devyn saw right now was Zoe, even if in the back of her mind she was telling herself to pull back. Yet more of her was telling her to go with it. Get as much as she could. Risk whatever would happen next. Devyn was wondering if Zoe was feeling it too. That true lust, that sexual desire for anything being. To feel them close against you, expecting pleasure and ready to give or receive it. Devyn chuckled a little at hearing Zoe's breath hitch, but the chuckle was still low, seductive even, not looking away from Zoe still.

Devyn's smirk didn’t fade or go away as Zoe's arms went around her, if anything she was even more pleased with Zoe. The fact that Zoe was in public and seemed to not care either. She expected the kiss to go a little differently, not that she would feel it yet or anything. This was for Zoe's sake in a way. Zoe could still feel Devyn's lips even when Devyn could not and just seeing the look in Zoe's eyes was enough for Devyn at the moment to be fine with pushing things a little further. The kiss was quick, Devyn only able to tell by Zoe's movement, hands lacing behind her neck and seeing all the affection Zoe had for her in her eyes. Not even seeing that shy version of Zoe there, not at the moment anyways. "You really are beautiful Zoe, my girlfriend." Devyn whispered in Zoe's ear as she leaned over. Devyn biting at her own lip, still not able to feel it yet.

Pull back Devyn, don’t push her so much. Devyn was scolding herself and knew that she should stop. However, she did rock her hips into Zoe just a little before going to pull back. Too a lot of will power but she pulled back anyways. Going to take the hands that were around her and try to bring them to her lips so she could kiss at them. "You told me not in public. So I'll wait." Devyn managed to get out, her growling still a little there, a mix of wanting Zoe but also anger at herself.

Beautiful was enough to nearly make Zoe blush, the my with all that emphasis sent that new shiver running through her, nearly making her gasp, and the girlfriend had her as practically molten mush in Devyn's hands. Devyn leaned against Zoe, and Zoe could again feel the other's body. Such raw sexuality there, all directed at Zoe, all wanting Zoe, it was certainly too much for the photographer-poet. She practically trembled at Devyn, her mind awash in a sea of emotions and new feelings.

Devyn even rocked her hips a little, drawing attention to anatomy that Zoe had all but been ignoring. Thankfully, Deyvn pulled back, as Zoe probably wouldn't have said or done anything if her girlfriend had started stripping her in the middle of the cafe. Zoe still stared breathlessly as Devyn lifted her gloved hands to those lips that had met hers so recently. The gesture struck Zoe as odd as her mind started to kick back into gear: weren't Devyn's lips numb? So the kiss must... it must be for Zoe's benefit, which just sent her heart fluttering. Wait, were Devyn's lips numb when she'd demanded Zoe kissed her? That meant that Devyn had wanted Zoe to kiss because she saw that Zoe wanted to kiss. Gah, Zoe would have melted right then and there if that were her power instead.

There was a little growl and a fair amount of want. Though one word punctured through everything for Zoe: public. "Oh dear," she said, her eyes going wide. She looked about, and sure enough, a few customers were staring. One or two was downright leering, for how often did you see two people kissing like that in public? Zoe blushed a flaming scarlet, grabbing Devyn's shirt and burying her head into the other's chest. "Oh God," she moaned into Devyn. "I can't believe I just did that," she moved her head a little, as if shaking her head. "We're going to end up getting kicked out of here, and I really like this place," which was part of the reason why she'd invited Devyn in the first place: she wanted to share more with her girlfriend (well, friend at the time of the invite; amazing how these things worked). "this is all your fault," said Zoe, softly hitting Devyn a few times for emphasis. There was actually a light teasing tone in Zoe's voice when she said it though.
