Day 28.
It had been a month. One month since she had made the decision to come to Kalispell. And what has she gotten out of it since she's been here? Nothing. She had fired her assistant, and managed to piss a few people off, but nothing of importance to her. She had stumbled upon the entrance to the roof about two weeks ago. She had made it a habit to come here at least once a day and escape the headache which were the students below. There hadn't been many taking her French class, which she had expected, and was exactly the reason why she had chosen the subject.
Victoria inhaled deeply, allowing the toxic fumes from her cigarette to billow in her lungs before finally exhaling. She gazed out in front of her, her grey eyes scanning the overly familiar view of the campus. The brunette mindlessly played with her necklace feeling a bit odd that she had actually taking her other one off. As she puffed away, her mind began to search of what her next move should be, it was interrupted when she heard the door to the roof open.
"It'd be best if you left. You probably shouldn't be up here anyway." She sad icily. It wasn't the first time students had tried to sneak up here for some privacy. Normally she wouldn't care, but she was here now. This was here time now, and no one should ever bother her during her time.

Once again, Silvia was on the hunt for a nice and quiet place where she could study without being bothered, or creating extra work for the gardeners. The roof sounded like a safe option. She just recently found out that there was a door that led to it, and she was happy to find it open when she hauled her bag full of books up there. However, when she walked through the door, she noticed that someone was already there.
Go figure. The Academy felt awfully crowded every once in a while.
The woman didn't turn to look at her, but she could see a puff of smoke as she spoke. Was it even allowed to smoke on school grounds? Silvia doubted that. Then again, she did not look like a teacher.
>>"It'd be best if you left. You probably shouldn't be up here anyway."
"I am sorry" Silvia apologized quickly; hearing the voice, she was almost sure she was one of the teachers. Aaaaawkward. "I didn't mean to interrupt..."
The ivy sneaking along the roof reacted to her voice, and burst into pale yellow clusters of flowers. Not many people knew that ivy could flower... Silvia, of course did, and clamped her mouth shut in order to prevent more of it.

Victoria’s gaze ahead never wavered. She kept at it, small puffs of smoke dissipated as the wind took it. She wanted whoever it was to leave. Whatever they wanted to do up here could wait. The girl apologized immediately. Typical. Did nobody have a backbone anymore? From the sound of it, the girl was alone, probably looking for an escape just like Victoria had been doing. But she didn’t care.
The girl was wasting both of their time by speaking again, but it had seemed as though something made her trail off. The brunette whipped her head around sharply, allowing her grey eyes to fall onto the girl. Pathetic. She followed the girl’s gaze to see what had caught her attention. It seemed as though the ivy along the roof had bloomed. Was that really important?
The girl was covering her mouth, almost as if she was scared to talk. Victoria’s gaze narrowed at the girl, annoyed that she was still here and that a stupid flower had gotten her attention. “Why are you still here?” She spat. Not really understanding, or caring about the connection the girl had with the ivy.

The woman finally turned around, giving Silvia a look that made her cheeks burn tomato red. She had clearly interrupted some personal time, or intruded on some train of thought, and now a member of the faculty was angry at her. Silvia had always been a perfect student; making a mistake made her feel both ashamed and uncomfortable.
>>" “Why are you still here?”
That was... rude, by any measure. Silvia didn't think she deserved that. She wanted to explain, but was also aware that the woman had noticed the flowers on the ivy.
"I apologize" she muttered, still blushing. More flowers opened their petals on the ivy nearby, with a strange scent in the air "I was just... looking for a.... quiet place to study. I was not aware that I could not be up here..."

The brunette titled her head and arched a brow as she took another drag from her cigarette. The girl’s face had turned a darker shade of red. Her favorite color. She was fascinated that the girl hadn’t scurried off by now. Maybe there was more to her than she originally thought, that, or she was too frightened to move.
Victoria sauntered over to the girl. The girl continued to apologize, and then attempted to explain her situation. Victoria didn’t care. She just wanted alone time. Time to contemplate her –what she was beginning to think was a poor- decision. She was oblivious to the flowers blooming, but her nose subtly twitched at the new scent in the air.
She put up a hand almost as if that would silence her. “I don’t care if you’re up here. You’re a big girl, you can do what you want.” She began, her voice laced with annoyance. “I do however care that you’re up here now. With me.” She turned sharply to face the edge of the roof, and began walking over to it. Her grey eyes glanced over at the increasing number of flowers popping up on the ivy.
“The library is the usual choice for a quiet place to study.” She said rather matter-of-factly. “Then again, what’s the fun of that when there are no plants to mess with?” She gazed back out into the distance, the embers falling from the tip of her dwindling cigarette.

>>“I don’t care if you’re up here. You’re a big girl, you can do what you want. I do however care that you’re up here now. With me.”
She was... snappy. Almost rude. Silvia did not like to think of faculty as rude, she had too much respect for them, and technically they way outranked her anyway, being adults and all. And yet, she bit her lips as the woman told her off for being on the roof. She must have interrupted a very personal moment.
>>“The library is the usual choice for a quiet place to study. Then again, what’s the fun of that when there are no plants to mess with?”
Silvia's eyes widened at the accusation, and the only reason she did not turn any more red was because it was biologically impossible.
"I didn't..." she protested, then swallowed the rest of it before shaking her head, determined to defend herself "... that's not why... I thought here would be safer..."
As if to disprove her claim, the ivy bloomed some more, and new vines reached out for places to go.

Victoria kept her back facing the girl. She wasn’t overly enthralled with the view per say, but she just needed something to take her focus off of her mind and the girl. For someone who seemed so…timid the girl had some spunk to her. She leaned over the barrier getting a view of the long fall below to the ground.
An eyebrow arched as a small smirk appeared from the corner of Victoria’s mouth. She tapped her cigarette letting some more ash fall onto the floor. She let out a short chuckle, amused by such irony. “The roof? Safer than the library? Really?” She asked mockingly, surprised by the girl’s logic. “Cette école ne dispose étudiants spéciaux.” She said before turning again to face the girl.
Victoria pursed her lips, contemplating whether or not she should show the girl how wrong she really was. Her grey eyes narrowed on the girl, scanning her from head to toe. The question was, would the girl be smart enough to keep her mouth quiet. It was one thing for students to pick on one another, but for a faculty member to do so…well that was usually frowned upon. Not that she was worried about the consequences. Heck, maybe it’ll help her cause.

>>“The roof? Safer than the library? Really? Cette école ne dispose étudiants spéciaux.”
Silvia felt both mortified and frustrated. Why did this woman care? Was she not here to educate students? Why was she making fun of her? And why was she speaking French? Silvia bit her lips and tried to hold Victoria's gaze, but she soon lost that battle and drew a shaky breath, looking away. She was by no means a brave of confrontational person, and it was very easy to tell.
She also could not really defend her claim without a lengthy explanation, one that she was not quite ready to give. Something told her it would be no use anyway.
"I'll... I'll go..." she muttered, backing away, trying really hard not to look ashamed and defeated. She knew she failed, she had never been an actress worth a damn. She finally turned away a fled, hoping against all hope that she would never have to face the woman again... she ran down the stairs and down a hallway, going blindly as she blamed herself for making a fool of herself.

Victoria remained silent. Staring holes into the girl. She was waiting for her to say something. Anything. Some sort of smart retort or some shaky explanation, instead the girl just caved and left. Finally. Not that it mattered anymore. Victoria was done with her cigarette and should be heading back to her office. It was a shame really, she wanted to be left alone but instead she found herself bickering with some little girl. Is this what she was becoming?
The brunette put out the cigarette before putting it in her small pile of garbage that she had left on the roof. She took a deep breath and headed towards the stairs. How much longer could she do this for?
