Alex had never considered herself a reasonable candidate for therapy. She didn't have daddy issues, hadn't come from a broken home, wasn't suffering from depression and she generally thought she had figured out as much of this 'life' thing as could be expected given her age. She supposed she understood, considering the trauma she'd endured fairly recently, why she was sitting on the couch facing Michelle Horowitz .
As the days progressed and the night that sent Alex to the hospital became more distant of a memory, the diminutive redhead had grown stronger. When she was initially referred to Ms. Horowitz Alex was still suffering from the lingering effects of the traumatic event. Slowly but surely, through the astute work of her appointed therapist as well as the tireless presence of her friends and family, Alex began to come around. She still had moments when she would drift back to that fateful evening and the fears that remained but, on the whole, she was told she was managing nicely.
Why she was still here was starting to become somewhat of a mystery to Alex.
"I guess I'm a little... uncertain." Alex admitted. Her brow furrowed with curiosity. She was referring to her status as a member of a band, something she'd never thought was possible. Her natural inclination to fade into the background in hopes of not being singled out was a detriment to the very concept of fronting a band on any level. She always attributed it to mere stage fright. She wasn't used to having the spotlight on her and the idea of it made her nervous. Surely that's all it was, right? There couldn't be anything deeper to the story. "But... what does that have to do with my sisters?"
