The Greenhouse had been both tempting and terrifying as a prospect for Silvia ever since she'd set foot in the Academy. She was intrigued by everything that grew in there - she loved gardens and plants, after all, and just imagining what all could be inside the school's research greenhouse made her bounce on her feet. On the other hand, she was also hesitant to go near it - her powers would make things grow, and bloom, and possibly get out of hand, which was dangerous enough with normal plants, and possibly disastrous in the case of special ones.
And yet, here she was, poking her head in the door.
Every once in a while, Silvia would get a horrible craving for fresh fruit. She suspected it had something to do with her powers making her able to produce some at any point of the year; she was not sure if she had that ability to satisfy the craving, or the other way around, but there it was. Walking into a grocery store would have been easier - but it would have also resulted in a spectacular chain reaction that she did not want to see on the evening new. So now, in a moment of weakness, she decided to go get fruit on her own.
The greenhouse had a number of different plants, mostly the kind that needed the consistent heat and humidity. One of them, right close to the door, was a pomegranate tree that she'd seen through the glass; it offered a likely target for her hit-and-snack-run, since it was so close to the door. She could probably approach it with the least disturbance.
Stepping inside, Silvia scurried over to the tree, resting her back against the glass wall. There was no one else in there that she could see. The pomegranate tree had slower buds popping up on its spindly branches - that was enough to work with without causing too much damage. Silvia reached out, and after a moment of hesitation, she rested her fingers on a branch near a cluster of flowers. She focused her powers, staring intently as the buds shivered and burst open, accelerating from flower to fruit with visible speed. Silvia continued to concentrate. At this rate, she would be gone before anyone noticed anything.
