Cassidy Carstyn wasn't as friendly as her elder twin but she was a lot more compassionate than Adrianna. Which was why Cassidy always took up every opportunity to help out whenever she could. One such project she took up was the mentorship programme where she was assigned to new recruits to show them the ropes and be more or less a big sister to them. Cassidy found it much easier to connect with the new ones because more often than not, they were quiet, shy and unsure of themselves, something Cassidy knew all too well.
One of her mentees was an English girl. Cassidy was still getting to know the young girl so there wasn't much she knew about her. She had to check up on the girl so there was where she was. She knew kids Emily's age weren't to be bought over with candy and soft toys but Cassidy brought along an assortment of candy bars and kisses. If she didn't want them, Cassidy could have them for herself.
Knocking on the door to her dorm, Cassidy waited for a response.

The somewhat petite brunette was rolling out of covers somewhat late. One of the only things that could be considered slightly girly about her was her Pjama's. Which were extremely comfortable pink and light blue pj's, with fluffy white slippers to boot. She yawned quite audibly as she moved like a zombie towards the kitchenette, to make herself a cup of tea to help wake her up. It wasn't an insanely reasonable time to get out of bed, but it was late.
The knock on the door actually made her jump and drop her mug. After what appeared to be a juggling scene of her nearly catching it and nearly dropping it two or three times she caught it between her arm and her leg, and gently placed it on the counter. She cursed the person attempting to be sociable at knocking on the door and scaring her, taking a deep breath.
She slid over to the door and opened it gently, stifling another yawn as a familiar face appeared in the doorway. "Cassidy! Um.... Hi!" She stood there for a moment, shaking the sleepiness out of her mind before opening the door wider. "Would you like to come inside?" she asked in a somewhat muted tone.

From the looks of it, Emily had just woken up. Or she just hadn't gotten around to changing out of her pajamas. Either way, Cassidy's smile warmed as a hand raised in a small wave to her 'Little Sister'.
"Hey Emily. Thank you." She stepped in when she was invited. "I was actually about to go to town to grab something for lunch. I was wondering if you wanted to follow but...did I wake you?" She asked with a teasing lilt to her tone.

The petite brunette gave a warm, if slightly incoherent smile. She had just recently woken up, after all. The little wave that Cassidy gave only served to widen the smile spreading across her lips. Some people were just innately adorable, and Emily loved that about them. Cassidy was one of those people to her, even if she was a few years older than Emily.
Emily gently shut the door behind Cassidy and stretched her arms up in the air with a light yawn. She blushed at the comment from the slightly older girl. "Nope, I had just gotten up though. Long night." She admitted with a smile.
She blinked the sleepiness out of her eyes and nodded. "Lunch sounds like fun, though I would need to go and get dressed first, unless you want to go out with a girl in pjama's, that is." She replied with a light teasing tone.

"Ah, finals are coming up, right?" Cassidy nodded knowingly. Thankfully, Cassidy wasn't preparing for anything as of yet and didn't have to for awhile.
Laughing when Emily suggested they go out with her in pajamas, Cassidy shrugged with a tiny grin on her lips. "Half the time, the college kids can be found at the local library in their fuzzy slippers and no one bats an eye." She shrugged again before chuckling lightly.
"But if you must change, then go. I can occupy myself on the couch." She grinned.

Emily nodded fairly firmly in response to the comment. "Yup, but my late night had nothing to do with studying." She put away her tea mug and the tea bags that she had gotten out, if she was going out for lunch there was really no point in having them there. She stiffled another yawn, realising she hadn't really answered the unspoken question. "I was talking with my Mum, she's in another time zone and all, so she'd just gotten up for work and called. Took me a while to get to sleep after."
Emily snickered. "College students around here are a bit off the rails." She glanced back at Cassidy with another smirk. "No offense."
The brunette slid into her room, leaving her door open just a crack as she slipped out of Pjama's and went about finding some clothes for the day. She wasn't overly fussy about dressing like other girls her age were, she kind of just dug into a drawer and pulled out some underwear, skinny jeans and a black T-shirt with a band logo on it. She wasn't massively into music, she just liked the shirt.
A minute or two later of quick dressing and a very quick brushing of her hair, she grabbed her stuff and slid out of her room. "Okay, shall we?" She smiled.

A soft smile crossed Cassidy's face when Emily mentioned the reason behind her late night. She missed her parents but at least they weren't in a different continent than her. And she had her own sister around so she had that. Emily, the poor thing, didn't have family with her so Cassidy was sympathetic. She always did love to care for lost souls.
Emily's tease made Cassidy laugh and shrug. "None taken. We're a rare breed of people." She responded, leaving Emily to get changed. Once she did, Cassidy nodded and went to the door. "I was having the biggest craving for the chicken pot pie I had last week at Colby's, you know the deli right beside the library?" Cassidy mentioned before turning a little to Emily.
