Alex, in truth, had absolutely no idea what she was doing standing the elevator that was steadily rising up the brightly lit office building. Her eyes had been wide for most of the trip. That the man who'd swept in and cleared her enormous medical bills off the books had finally contacted her and requested an audience had blown her mind. She'd tried to find out who her mysterious benefactor had been but her detective skills were limited along with her capacity to perform such a search. She had only just recently gotten to the point where she could satisfy her wanderlust and leave the apartment for short stretches at a time.
When the call came in and the mysteriously intriguing Mr. Argos Wren had even gone so far as to send a car for Alex it had triggered some sort of over protective mode in Ezra. Alex's longtime boyfriend was against the meeting from the very beginning especially since it fell on a day where he was going to be stuck working his 48 hour shift at the firehouse. Regardless of Ezra's wishes, curiosity got the better of the youngest Lawson leading her to be standing behind the two mammoth assistants that had been escorting her from her apartment to Argos' office.
"I'm not in trouble... am I?" Alex asked her stoic guides as she trailed along after them once the elevator doors had opened. Alex nearly had to jog in order to keep up with their long strides and it hardly gave her a chance to gaze around the office building in near awe. Even though she received a curt, one word answer to the contrary, it didn't leave Alex feeling all that comforted.
"Mr. Wren, Miss Alex Lawson." The doors opened to reveal the spacious office with its spectacular view of the surrounding city. Alex's eyes widened even more as she stood awkwardly in the doorway while one of the assistants announced her arrival. The two men stepped back and out, closing the doors behind them leaving Alex alone with one of the most powerful meta-humans in the corporate world.
"Um." She stammered weakly before lifting a hand and giving a meek wiggle of her fingers. "Hi?"
