Chris Walker Grayson
FACE CLAIM: Jensen Ackles
---------------------------------[/div]
AGE: 20
GENDER: Male
ORIENTATION: Unsure
POSITION: College Student
POWER: Hyper Strength and Advanced Healing
Chris’s own hyper-strength falls into the “Type I” area of physical ability, which includes being able to lift up cars to trucks, buses, and large boulders. He has enough strength in order to lift a large boulder with relative ease, although heavier items (i.e.: a sixteen-wheeler) are beyond his strength capacity. His hyper strength is due in part to his muscles being exceptionally dense and thicker than most people’s, resulting in a bigger bulk to his figure and the afore-mentioned hyper strength ability. Much of this comes from his body’s swifter than average healing factor, which rebuilds his muscle tissue at exceptionally fast rates to create the density and toughness of his tendons.
Chris’s own advanced healing can repair practically any damage done to him in much faster time than it would take for a normal person to heal. However Chris’s healing does not prevent him from resisting disease, infection, and/or poison. His healing mostly has to do with the repair of his tissue and cells after damage is dealt to him. What could take someone a few days to heal (i.e.: a large cut) will take roughly half as much time for Chris to recover from. Injuries to his bones also repair faster, but can be disastrous if the bone is not set back correctly before Chris’s healing factor can begin to repair it (See Side-Effects for more detail). He also cannot regrow a missing limb or recover from death should he die; his healing factor requires him to be alive.
LIMITATIONS (As applied to Chris):
- Can’t lift exceedingly heavy objects (i.e: an airplane or a sixteen-wheeler). The max his muscles (excluding bone pressure capacity) is 5700kg. Taking his bone pressure capacity into account, his max is 3900kg.
- Balance, gravity, and mass still effect the hyper strong
- The hyper strong are still subseptible to Newton’s Three Laws of Motion
- Hyper strength does not equal durability. If the user were to attempt to lift something extremely heavy over their head, their bones and joints could snap
- Hyper strength is dependent on the user’s physical prowess, so exercise is required to maintain the highest capacities of their strength (i.e.: must maintain a healthy, physically fit body)
- Advanced healing cannot prevent user from getting sick or poisoned. Both can still do the user a considerable harm, especially should a wound become infected
- Healing does not happen instantaneously unless the wound is exceptionally small (i.e.: a paper cut). Recovery tends to be cut in half in regards to time. Injuries also have to be tended to just as any normal person would require to prevent infection
- Healing does not extend to regrowing a missing limb. If the body part is reattached swiftly, it can meld back onto the body. However it must be kept in a good state and unwithered, otherwise the body will reject it
- Advanced healing is confined to user’s own body; it cannot be given or extended to anyone else by any means of the user
- Hyper strength is confined to user’s own body; it cannot be given or extended to anyone else by any means of the user
SIDE-EFFECTS (As applied to Chris):
- Bone Durability: Bones are not able to withstand the full force the user’s muscles can. Due to Chris’s healing factor his bones are a bit stronger, but cannot withstand his max (i.e.: a heavy-loader truck) and will snap.
- Everyday Difficulty: Due to hyper strength, the user can occasionally have difficulty in everyday activities (i.e.: crush a doorknob or dislocate another person’s limb by accident). In emotional moments, control is especially vital as Chris could destroy something in the heat of anger or crush someone in the cold of sorrow.
- Bone Repair: If the user’s bone is broken, there is a very high chance that it can heal incorrectly as the healing factor does not realign the snapped bone. Instead it will simply attempt to fix the wound as it is, which would then require surgery to realign it correct. Shattered bones are extremely dangerous and must be treated immediately.
- Pain Tolerance: The user’s pain tolerance is high than most, but it is not hyper resistance. Chris will still react just as fiercely to a cut or a shattered limb as any normal person.
- Infection Vulnerability: Te user is far more subseptible to infections due to increased healing factor. If an infection of a wound is not treated immediately, it can cause Chris immense harm (i.e.: an infected cut would close with the still infected tissue remaining inside the body).
[li]Increased Bulk: Due to the extreme density of muscle, Chris’s body is bulkier and heavier than most.
HEIGHT: 193.04cm (6feet and 4inches)
HAIR COLOR: Blonde
EYE COLOR: Hazel-Green
MISC: Well let’s see now. Usually I dress in whatever’s comfortable I guess. That’s mostly jeans and whatever shirt I fancy for the day. Ironically enough it’s usually a polo shirt or something like that. I swear I’m not some preppy college kid, they just look good on me.
I also normally wear one of my leather jackets. You know how there’s that stereotype about girls and shoes? Well it’s like that only me and leather jackets. I love them; got a problem with that then just close your eyes and walk away. I’ll still flaunt them right in your face.
PERSONALITY: What am I like huh? Confident is the word I like to use, although I know a few others would say something a little meaner. Yeah I’m confident; I know who I am and what I want. Why should I act all shy and insecure? I’ve found my lot in life and by God I’ll do whatever the hell I want with it.
I guess that’ll bring me to my next lovely trait. I’m a blunt motherfucker who likes to swear. Yeah that’s me. You want someone to comfort you and sing you some sweet poetic words, you’ve gone to the wrong person. Only time I do that is when I’m in a humorous mood or I’m probably mocking you.
I should probably mention I’m a sarcastic asshole too. I’ve made a lot of enemies with people who’re looking for some “lovely sweetheart” or some “knight in shining armor” type. Fuck that. I’m more of the badass sidekick who’d rather be splitting heads than spitting compliments. You want someone to kiss your ass then go search elsewhere.
That’s another thing that’s probably obvious already but I’ll say it. I don’t put up with anything. You talk shit then son you better be ready to get hit; and I can hit pretty damn hard. Trading insults for the fun of it is fine, but when it's actually a genuine hit on me or my family and friends then expect me to fight back.
Although now I’m going to argue that I’m not a bad guy. Once I make my friends I stick by them like butter on toast. I know true friends are hard to find, especially for a sarcastic jerk like me. So I keep them and keep loyal since I’ll probably need them when I start a fight or get into some more trouble like I always do.
SECRET(S): I like love stories. Those horrible, sappy ass stories where person one gets person two and there’s a lovely “happily ever after.” I also use my younger brother as an excuse to see kids’ movies. Tell anyone and you’re dead.
FATHER: Dick, Grayson (53)
MOTHER: Chelsea, Quinten (49)
SIBLINGS:
Richard “Richy" Grayson (22)
Samuel “Sammy” Grayson (11)
WORTHY MENTIONS: Jared Winchester (20)
CHILDHOOD: The main thing you’d need to understand about my childhood is that right from the get-go I was a rambunctious little shit. It didn’t help that my older brother Richy was probably just as bad. I was the second born, and grew up around lovely Cleveland, Ohio. My old man always told me that the day my brother found out that I was born, he’d cry louder than a banshee if we got separated. So eventually we became crib mates, which was a horrible idea. We always managed to get out no matter what our parents did.
Going into school wasn’t all the different. We did basically every thing you’d imagine a stereotypical “troublemaking” kid to do. Play hooky, pull pranks, steal all the chalk; you name it we did it. The principal knew us by footsteps by the point, and I think Richy and I had basically memorized the entire inside of Mr. Rosetti’s office. I can still remember what it looks like now. At one point we stole his little name stand just for shits and giggles. Although when Sammy came around we were just a little better. Not by much though, we were still little shits.
ADOLESCENCE: When the golden age of “Teenhood” came around, Richy and I were still pretty bad. Our parents were always telling us to grow up, and we did to an extent. Still it wasn’t like we were going to completely turn and suddenly be saints. Richy and I still pulled pranks; they were just pranks more “our age.” Although looking back on it, they were still sort of like some grade-schooler’s sick idea of fun. Unlike both of us, Sammy was the goodie-two-shoes. Don’t get me wrong though; Richy and I loved the kid with all our hearts and still do. He’d help us get out of trouble with Mom and Dad, and we’d take him out for fun and beat the hell out of any punk who messed with him. It helped having two older brothers who could kick ass and humiliate you in only a few days.
Although that didn’t last too long since my powers thought to manifest. I was always a pretty strong kid. My old man saw it and thought to put me in wrestling. He thought right, and I was a damn champ at it. However when I was probably 15 I accidentally broke some kid’s arm. That stuff can happen and I didn’t think too hard on it except for the fact that it felt way too easy when it occurred. After helping the kid- His name was Jared by the way, he’s like my best friend- to the hospital I went home. Then around four days later some weirdos showed up at my door saying I was a mutant and I had to go away to some X-men ripoff academy. Although maybe X-men ripped off the academy first; who knows.
Anyways, you can imagine my reaction. Combined with Richy I managed to break several of one recruiter’s ribs before they subdued me with some weird ass power. It was bad and I basically got put down like some animal. Still even after that they promised I’d be able to contact my family and all. I have to admit it was a nice thing to do, especially after I’d punched the one guy. I was taken to the wonderful Bellefonte Academy, where I got to earn all about my wonderful power of being able to break someone with barely any effort. Suddenly my win streak in wrestling made a lot more sense.
ADULTHOOD: The rest of high school was a breeze, if a bit boring without Richy around. Sure I made friends, and a fair amount of pissed off not-friends. Still it was way different without Richy and Sammy there. Sammy didn’t get involved in our shenanigans nearly as much, but he was still my little brother. I’ve got to admit it was awesome when my family would randomly visit. Especially once Richy got his own car; he’d come up for an entire break or pick me up to take me home. Sammy would usually come along too.
Even though I missed them, I figured I might as well stay at Bellefonte to continue my education. Richy was in college too, and Sammy was busy being some child prodigy. Why not stay? So I started studying up to be some bodyguard or something. Maybe not the most casual of jobs, but I had super strength so I might as well use it. Besides, I’d practically been Richy and Sammy’s bodyguard all my life. I liked protecting people I genuinely gave a shit about. Why not get paid for it?
