The blonde was patient, yet excited. Her blue eyes jumped back and forth from Violet’s hands to her face. She willingly allowed the woman to gently take her hand. Callie stood still, her eyes now locked on their hands. Her excitement remained, but slowly she began to feel peaceful, relaxed. It was fascinating. She looked up at Violet and gave her a smile.
Callie was fully aware of what was happening, but this feeling was something that could easily become addicting. She nodded as Violet explained how it worked. “So you have to aware when you touch someone. Even for a simple handshake?” The blonde smiled, fascinated by all of this. She removed her hand slowly from the woman’s not wanting to remain entranced by the overwhelming feeling of serenity. She began to think of her roommate who had to wear the gloves. It must be a bit bothersome having to be so aware of things or people you touch. Then again, it was a bit tiresome constantly making sure your mind was clear and if not, not to look at anybody too long.

Eyes watched as Violet took the girl's hand and let her power seep into the girl. She seemed fascinated at their hands, and Violet easily returned the smile she gave. "It usually takes a while, but I'm speedin' it up a lil' for now." She explained, voice soft and sweet.
"Yes'em. I try not'ta touch people too much unless I have'ta. And I usually suppress my power unless I want'ta calm them down." She answered, tone patient and kind. Contact severed, Violet dropped her hand when Callie pulled hers away. "I don't want no one gettin' addicted'ta me."
"What about you? What's your power, if you don't mind me askin'."

Callie was in awe with this woman. There was something about her demeanor. She knew it was more than just her power making her feel this way. She was overall just a calm, sweet person. She listened as she took her back and began rubbing her palm. The tranquil feeling remained slightly.
The blonde listened as the woman spoke. She gave a nod, “That makes sense. I can see how it’d be addictin’ and such.” Who wouldn’t want to be in a state of relaxation all the time? Callie was lost in her own thoughts, thinking about the many different applications that the woman could use her power for. Yet here she was working at the stables. What was her story?
Her train of thought was put on hold when Violet asked about her powers. Callie’s blue eyes flickered in excitement. She always loved showing people her power. If they wanted to see it that was. She straighten herself as she prepared to speak, her smile grew. “The people here have called it visual projection.” Her teeth made an appearance threw her widening grin. “The best way for me to explain is to just show ya. If ya want that is.” Callie cocked her head and arched her brow. This was what she most enjoyed.

A nod and a smile, Violet was glad Callie seemed to understand. Memory crept as Violet couldn't help but think back to the last time someone had gotten addicted.
I never want anyone to go through that again.
Gaze observed as Callie seemed to be in a world of her own. Violet had to wonder what she was thinking about. Smile formed as Callie perked up at Violet's question on her power, getting practically giddy it appeared. Soft laughter and a kind smile, Violet felt the girl's enthusiasm and happiness spread to her.
"I would love'ta see what you can do." She said, words genuine and sweet. Violet was curious to see Callie go at it if she was so riled up to show her.

It must be a challenge to constantly have your guard up. To make sure that no one got used to the feeling they got when around you. Callie could only imagine the things they may have happened.
When Violet agreed to allow Callie to show her what she could do she bobbled her head back and forth and clapped the tips of her fingers together. “Just stand still, and don’t freak out. I’ll only make it last ‘bout a minute or so.” Normally when people were willing to let her show them stuff it was okay. It was the time’s when she did it by accident that freaked people out the most. It make people lose their sense of reality and become extremely confused. Luckily it was quiet enough here that it wouldn’t interfere with the projection. If another other senses got involved, usually sound or touch was most common it usually made the person seeing the projection freak out. Especially when it wasn’t related to what they were seeing.
Callie adjusted herself a bit, it’s been a while since she had actually used it on anyone, but she’d been practicing so she was confident enough. She relaxed herself, lowering her hands to the sides, her smile faded and she stared at Violet with kind eyes. She began thinking of the only thing she felt most comfortable actually depicting. Her family’s ranch back home.
Slowly the horses began to fade and the walls of the stable no longer seemed to be there. The ceiling vanished as a clear blue sky took its place. She was thinking of the entrance of her ranch. It was so clear in her mind down to every last detail. Her blue eyes remained focused on Violet. They were standing in front of the gate that lead down the long driveway to their home. It was a simple gate. She always hated the stupid star in the middle. There were a few trees sprinkled about, and a big mailbox with the word “Montgomery” painted on the side. The dirt from the road lifted and spun about with each gust of wind. It was so beautiful. She could smell the warm air. That of course was for herself. Her power only affected sight.
She remained still, and slowly let the memory fade from her mind. Her blue eyes lowered away from Violet as the stables and horses appeared back next to them. She began playing with her hair and gave a half smile.

Surprise blossomed and curiosity followed as Callie warned Violet not the freak out. A smile and a nod, Violet obeyed Callie's instructs and stayed still. She had no idea just what the girl's power was, but she wanted to find out. Relaxtion spread and gaze wandered, Violet watched in surprise as the scenery around her changed.
This is amazing! This girl could do a wonder with her powers. I've never seen something quite like this before.
Awe struck and head turned, Violet took in her surroundings. She was at a ranch or a farm it appeared. It must have been a place of important to Callie. Gaze focused, Violet looked at the gate and the mailbox, reading the name. it must've been Callie's surname. Vision faded and focus changed, Violet glanced at Callie now.
"That was amazing, Callie!" She praised, words warm and sincere. "I've never seen anythin' like that! Was that your home? It looked mighty impressive." She added, voice honest. "Reminded me a 'lil 'a my home too, if I'm being honest with you."

The blonde stood as still as she could. She swayed slightly from time to time but remained quiet waiting for Violet to speak first. It had be a while since she had used her power on anyone, but she felt confident in herself. Her lips formed a toothy grin as soon as the positive words escaped Violet’s mouth. “Thanks! I’ve been workin’ on perfectin’ that for a while now.” Her hands were busy playing with the tips of her messy side braid.
She gave a nod her words to follow, “Yes ‘em. That was my home.” Her eyes looked away momentarily, lost in the thought of her family and life before all this had to happen. “Well, the entrance at least.” She let out a soft chuckle. Hearing Violet praised her just boosted her confidence more.
Callie cocked her head slightly, curious to what Violet’s home looked like. She had an idea, especially if she thought they were similar. She took a step closer. “I’d love to see pictures or sumthin’ if ya have ‘em.” Her eyes went wide, curiosity always taking priority over anything she was doing. She had almost forgotten why she had come down here for. It wasn’t until she heard Echo let out a loud huff and stomp of her hoof that she realized her intentions had been pushed aside.
Her face softened as she walked over to her horse who had been so patient. Callie gave her a few pats on the side. She wondered if her power affected horses or animals as well. Even if it did, there would be no way for her to tell.

Smile grew and soft laughter followed as Violet watched the excitement grow in Callie’s eyes. “Well you did a real nice job, Callie. It seemed so real.” She said, tone warm and approving. Violet was more than happy to see a student so happy and excited about their power.
It’s nice knowing not all of them just try to suppress their power and not use it.
Eyes noticed the way Callie seemed to lapse into memory and expression softened as Violet listened to the girl. “Seemed like a real nice place’ta live.” She said, voice kind. Eyes widened and head tilted as Violet tried to remember if she had any pictures. “Well, I know I’ve got some back in my little office and my dorm, but I think your friend there is gettin’ a mighty bit impatient with us shootin’ the breeze n’ ignorin’ her.” She pointed out, words soft and a faint chuckle followed.

Callie gave a gleaming smile in response to Violet’s compliment again. “Thanks.” It was truly nice to hear. She wanted to perfect it. To be able to use it to help people. That’s what she wanted to do. To help people. She was given this magnificent gift and if she could figure out a way to put it to use so she could help the lives of people she was determined to figure out how to do so. “It was.” She said as her thoughts were still reminiscent. She was still petting her horse as she listened to Violet talk. Callie let out a giggle. She was right. Echo had been more than patient, and she was sure that the horse wanted to get out of the stable. “Well perhaps after I take her for a ride I could stop by.” She said smiling, hoping that Violet would be okay with it. There was just something so comforting about being around her. And it was more than her power. Callie was certain of it.
The blonde started walking the horse out of the stall before stopping to look back at Violet. “If that’d be okay.”

Smile widened as Violet saw how pleased Callie got from the praise. She wished the girl the best of luck with gaining control of her powers.
Maybe she could use it for something. I'm sure a power like that could be used to help others.
Head nodding and soft chuckle sounding, Violet watched as Callie took notice of her horse. She had been incredibly patience, which spoke volumes about the bond between the two. Approval growing and smile softening, Violet nodded her head in answer to the young girl's question. "That would be perfectly fine. My office isn't really an office." She admitted, tone soft and kind. "I just used one've the empty stalls n' turned it in'ta a little space is all. Feel free'ta head over once you're done." She added, words sincere and kind.

Callie was patient, like Echo had been. She continued petting her friend while waiting for a response from Violet. Echo’s eyes were gleaming with excitement. Someone wanted to break free and run.
She let out a giggle in response to Violet’s mention of her office not really being an office. “I’ll most certainly do so!” She said returning a smile. There was much more to talk about and to learn from her, and seeing as though she worked in Callie’s favorite place on campus she could say with one hundred percent certainty that she’d be seeing her again.
The blonde wiggled her body a bit before hoisting herself up on to the saddle. Giving Echo a few pats before grabbing on to the reins she looked back at Violet and gave a warm smile, “See ya around.” She said as she rode off out of the stables to finally enjoy the day with her friend.
