She paused slightly as the questions were asked; They were quite unusual, no? Not the kind of questions anyone asked without an agenda. Though, she saw little harm in answering them. Evelyn had very little to hide, after all. At least, she liked to pretend that she didn't. She thought about the questions for a moment before nodding her head. She continued walking onward as she spoke.
"Business," she said at first, her lips pursing. Though, she already knew most of which she was studying. It had been groomed into her head for as long as she could remember. It was nothing more than studying and getting a degree for show. "It's nothing more than a tedious necessity," she replied to the second question. "But we all have to do what we have to do, might as well do it alongside our kind." She'd much rather go to a formidable school, but she wouldn't leave her brother either. And he still had roots here than held him back, and she was more than happy about helping him foster those.
Then, there was the last question. "Are you talking about SPECTRE, IMAC or both?" she asked, her head turning to look at the blonde. Or maybe she was talking about something else in general. She knew a whole lot about SPECTRE, much which no one save for her company, her brother and his girlfriend knew about, and as always, despite her brother being one of the kidnapped students, she could stay cool and collected about.

Yes, Roxana did have an agenda behind pretty much everything that she did and this time it was on just learning some basic information on the girl. Well, more then she already knew because while Roxana knew a little bit about everyone she didn't put too much effort into learning much about everyone. She just needed the basics and that was it, only her targets got the 'honor' of her looking up on several things about them. Evelyn was not a target; yet, so she needed to gain a bit more information on the girl. Even if it was as basic as finding out what majors the girl was in.
"I can agree with that. Surely you could have gotten into an elite school so interesting that you choose to study here. Only on the fact that you would be around other mutants or is there more to it?" Roxana asked. Yes, she was curious why someone with Eve's grade wanted to go to college here for business when there were far better place to go. Roxana was also wondering if the girl was going to go into the field that her father was or if she was just going to do general business without any plans on taking over her father's company.
Eve did have a brother who was likely to take that spot, but Roxana didn't know of the girls goals just yet. AS for her other question, Evelyn was asking a question back, one that was because the other girl needed clarification. "Both." Roxana responded back. While the second she only viewed life shaking because of what had changed in her because of it, she found the first more important. Still, knowing both would allow her to understand the girl more and that was the goal at the end of this littler interaction.

"I could have, yes," she replied without missing a beat. Evelyn continued looking onward as the two of them walked. "I don't really see how my answer to your question will achieve anything." After all, it wasn't like the blonde would gain a whole lot from it. It became clear that for whatever reason, Roxana wanted to learn more about her. More than most others knew. Something more personal. Evelyn didn't really care for her reasons. She had nothing to hide, but that didn't mean she was about to give the girl everything about her just like that.
"My brother was kidnapped by SPECTRE. I hardly think I need to tell you how I feel about that. As for IMAC... Well, that was a stupid move for the school to make. Inviting a lot of students and staff from all over the world? Of course that would end in tragedy. Clearly, the school didn't do its background check and as such, put everyone in danger." She tossed the blonde a quick glance, head shaking. It had been an unacceptable misstep, and the school had only proved its own idiocy.
Turning her attention back to the path ahead, Evelyn rounded the corner and stopped in front of one of the doors. She then turned towards the blonde. "If you have any other questions, I suggest you throw them out there now, otherwise you're going to lost your chance." She gestured towards the door.

Roxana was tempted to ask for a bit more when Evelyn answered that she could have gotten into an elite school but nothing further than that. Roxana didn't get why anyone would stay around the school if they had potential elsewhere. Perhaps it was to stay close to her family or that fact that it was just easier to go to school with others likes you on some level. Rox knew that she was only here because she had been ordered to. Yet, it was likely that she would not be here that much longer with how things were going. Not that she cared all that much, she lived to do what she was told, and would except her next orders without too much hesitation. Maybe.
"Knowledge. Answered questions give me a understanding of who you are, how and why you think the way you do. It allows me to get to know you." Roxana explained in a simple manner because she felt that it was a simple question. There was nothing complex behind her asking questions, it was true she wanted to know more about the girl; currently for the sake of her orders. With a small part just being curious how much or how little she was like the rest of the Conner family. Among other things that part of Rox wanted to know about. "Well, I would like you to tell me about it, but if you are uncomfortable about the subject, I understand leaving it at that." Roxana said, because no she did not know how Eve felt about it.
She was not Evelyn and didn't know the girl too well so didn't know how she felt about it. Roxana thought and felt differently than most people so she could not say that how she felt would have been the same as other might have felt. Personally if one of her siblings had been captured, she would have felt bad for SPECTRE because of what would happen to them and she honestly would not have been worried in the slightly. She was guessing that Eve might not have been pleased, but she still didn't actually know.
Rox did agree with Evelyn on the whole IMAC event, she had even told Elsa pretty much the same thing but the other girl did as she pleased as always. Rox said not of this and simply just nodded her head in agreement. "I will just save them from another time, then. I don't wish to hold you up to long." Roxana said as she moved to open the door for the other girl. She had more questions, yes but most of them she was going to answer on her own or look into. That and well it was odd and not easy for Rox to just ask every question right there and there, it didn't feel and would not have been natural. So if Eve wanted to get going, then Rox was not going to stop her and she could try talking to the girl another time.

"You say that as if I'm some kind of test subject to be studied," she replied, slightly amused by the idea. She supposed if that was how the girl wanted to look at her, Evelyn wasn't about to stop her. Clearly, the two of them had nothing in common, so she saw little reason for them to get to know each other, though, again, it didn't matter. She didn't care. Sighing, Evelyn's head shook faintly. "It was a messy situation that should have been avoided, but it wasn't." She didn't feel any need to elaborate, but knowing this girl from what she'd shown her thus far, she'd likely dig further.
Nodding, Evelyn offered the blonde something of a strained smile as she opened the door for her. "Alright," she spoke simply. Yes, she'd much rather get going, and as such, she saw no reason to linger. Besides, the girl seemed capable of handling herself, so if there was anything she wanted to know, she'd likely take care of it - one way or another.
"Good day then," she said as she stepped through the open door. She didn't turn to look at the girl - nor would she say anything else if the girl didn't ask or say anything further. She was perfectly content with leaving things like this.

"That is one way I view you at the moment." Roxana said bluntly. Since she was not playing any game or putting on an act now that she got what she needed, she was her usual blunt self. That meant that she was going to say things like she saw them. How she saw Evelyn was a sort of test subject in a way but one that she had less control over. This was like an experiment that you allowed to run free for the time while you tested the controlled version with someone else. Her employers would have been pleased to be able to control the girl, but they likely had other real ideas behind what they wanted. Then again, this could have all been just a test on Roxana because they were known to do that as well.
There was a sigh as Evelyn went on to explain a little more, but honestly didn't give Roxana much different then what she said. Perhaps she was going to have to push the girl a bit more but that could be saved for another time. Rox had already got what her main goal was and the girl did seem busy so she didn't want to take up too much of her time and draw any suspicion. Even if she honestly didn't care. She had more important things that she was worried about then another girl thought she was up to something.
"I leave the subject alone, for now." Roxana said, not satisfied still. Yet, she was going to let the girl go and drop the matter for now. Eve didn't seem to have a problem leaving things as they were, so Rox was not going to hold her up anymore. With the door held open, she watched as Evelyn headed through it and just gave a simple nod as the girl went about her day. Roxana made a few mental notes before she left to handle a few things of her own. One of them was to report on what she found to her higher ups.
