Evan was already trying to find something to tie the boat to the dock with when Tim came to his conclusion. "Dude, we totally rented it. With the oars and the life vest? From that dude who really shouldn't be renting out boats to unsuspecting teenagers like us."
Finally, he took out his shirt, tied the sleeves on the boat and the dock and threw his oar in, along with the life vest.
"Never. Never ever never going into the water ever again." He shook his head. "Can we just get outta here? I want to go back to my room and play with my phone or something."

"So? We burn it and then do everyone a favor," replied Tim. He looked at the boat for a long time again, his eyes narrowing at the boat. "Just think of how many lives we'd save, both beaver and human."
Tim narrowed his gaze once again, wishing that he'd ended up with, like, heat vision or something awesome like that. But no, instead he had bat talking. He sighed and shucked off his own gear, at least making sure to put it into the right places.
"Right, well, it's in the right spot, so, like, we're done," said Tim. He dusted off his hands, nodding and turning back to Evan. "So, yeah, heading as far away from anything remotely resembling nature sounds like a plan right about now. I'm right behind you."
