"Bettin' the fish would be more interestin'," replied Beau, chuckling. He probably would've preferred a picture of a fish over a picture of himself, truth be told. Of course, he supposed that wasn't an entirely fair comparison. Would be better if he thought about the difference between a picture of the fish or of Liz. Man, tough decision, right there.
Seemed like Liz was going for both. Beau nodded, pulling harder on the line. As usual, he had started to almost subconsciously show off for Liz, putting more effort and muscle into it. He had the skills to back up the slight preening though, and soon a decent sized fish broke the water. It didn't quite measure up to the others they'd caught, but it would look acceptable.
Grinning wide, Beau held it up next to him, the line extended, the fish wiggling. "This work?" he asked. "Or do you want me to do some kinda special pose or somethin'?" Beau shifted slightly, obviously ready to do just that, if it was what Liz wanted.
Then again, the boy had pretty well proved willing to do just about anything Liz wanted.

Looking at Beau with a raised eyebrow, Elizabeth gave a snort of disbelief at him actually comparing himself to a fish. "I am not the girlfriend of a boring fish now am I?" She asked as she tried not to smile.
But it didn't work as she realised he was showing off for her, which he didn't have to but hell, he could even make fishing look sexy.
Oh God, she needed to get her mind off Beau in compromising positions. Seriously.
When he finally held the fish up, Elizabeth trained the camera on him and started snapping even before he got into any sort of pose.
"Just hold the fish higher and away from you, babe." She called out from behind her camera and snapped away a few times before she lowered her camera with a grin. "Absolutely perfect."
The sun was setting lower, throwing the sky into a kaleidoscope of colours. Orange and purple and red and pink all mingled together in such perfect harmony. It was just beautiful. She snapped a few times and sat down, gesturing for Beau to come over. "C'mere, bubba. We should enjoy this while it lasts."

Beau blinked as he heard the camera, realizing that photos were being taken before he'd even started getting ready. He tried to adjust himself quick enough, though he wasn't sure he managed all too well. Liz issued commands though, and Beau certainly proved adept at doing precisely what Liz said: he had plenty of practice, after all. Soon he had that easy grin on his face, proving to be just as photogenic as one would expect him to be.
When finished, Beau moved to put the fish into the bucket, giving it a little tap before turning. He looked ready to keep fishing for a while, but he just noticed the gesture. There was a moment when Beau looked from water to girl, obviously debating, but it didn't last long. He moved over to Liz and sat next to her, though there was some actual grumbling this time.
"Fish are still gonna be bitin' for a few more minutes," he said. He gave her another look and then smiled teasingly, "plus, it's already hot enough without you hangin' all over me."

Elizabeth didn't know exactly why she was surprised that even with the simplest of things, like being photogenic, Beau just shone right through.
Raising an eyebrow when she saw that he was actually contemplating on fishing more, Elizabeth rolled her eyes when he started grumbling.
"Fine, go fish. I'll just sit here all by my lonesome, sketching the pretty fishes." She waved a dismissive hand as she fanned herself with her sketchbook. She pouted a little, an exaggeration of her actual feelings obviously, and started sketching again.

For a moment, it looked like Beau might actually head back out to fish. He hesitated for a moment, looked out, then jerked his head back, his attention going to the book. "Are you actually sketchin' pictures of the fish or--" he began, before noticing what Liz happened to be doing with it. He chuckled, setting his pole down.
"Ya know, if you're feelin' too warm, reckon there's a way of fixin' that," he drawled. Beau jerked his thumb behind him, indicating the water that lay a few feet away. "Figured that we could always hop in for a bit, cool off an' enjoy ourselves. 'course," he shrugged, "had hoped that we'd have caught a few more of 'em. But I ain't gonna complain if you'd rather shimmy outta those duds an' slide on it."
Beau smiled and hooked his thumbs on the belt-loops, obviously wanting to demonstrate his willingness to be rid of said pants. Wouldn't be the first time he'd gone skinny-dipping in some water, and who cared if anyone saw them? Beau certainly weren't shy, and he doubted Liz was either.

She gave him a sideways grin, not looking up, as though that would answer his question.
Straightening her head up at the mention of 'cooling off', a smile twitched in the corners of her lips even as her eyebrows furrowed to the middle. It didn't take a genius to realise that Beau was suggesting skinny-dipping. The pyrokinetic was definitely up for it but what it entailed was something she wasn't quite certain she could handle if Beau only meant for it to be some innocent dip. As innocent as skinny dipping could be, anyway.
Tucking her hair behind her ear, her grin widened and she dropped her sketchbook, almost immediately unhooking the clasp to her overalls and kicking off her sandals.
Suddenly her earlier fatigue seemed to be oh so hazy.
She did remember to store her things into her bag and hiding it in some overgrown bushes. She already had to deal with a stealing raccoon once, she wasn't about to fall victim to the little critter a second time.
With everything stripped off her in a messy pile, she didn't wait for a second before canonballing into the water. The water was immediately warm for her and she groaned a little, reigning her body temperature in so it began to cool her entire body. She dipped her head in for a few seconds before sighing as she re-emerged. "I think I scared the fish away. It ain't bitin' any time soon I figure."
The clothes practically flew off Beau's body. The muscled torso appeared first, tanned flesh on display. The puckered scar where the bullet had sank into Beau's side still showed, likely always would, but that probably only added to the overall appeal. The pants soon followed, adding a messy pile not too far from Liz's own. Not long after that, Beau would be charging into the water after Liz. He entered with a sort of loping jump though, as opposed to the more classic cannonball.
Didn't take him long to resurface though, spitting out some water and grinning wide, turning to look at Liz. "Reckon we'll scare 'em away real good," he said. He was glad that he'd at least had the sense to pull back their lines. Last thing they needed was to get a hook stuck somewhere, especially somewhere tender. Beau swam around a bit, moving in a sort of zig-zag near Liz, grinning all the while.
"So, you feelin' any cooler? Or do I need to make sure an' get your head nice an' wet?" he asked, teasing. He slapped the top of the water a few times, hinting at how he'd go about doing that, as if Liz hadn't already guessed.

She didn't really get to see the spectacle that was Beau taking his clothes off as she was busy cooling herself off in the water, head dunked under.
When she re-emerged, he was already heading towards her with that sly grin of his.
The subtle threat made her bite her lower lip before proceeding with a pre-emptive strike by ducking into the water and tackling him, forcing him backwards before re-emerging. "Oh I'm feelin' a lot cooler now."

The bite did look good, and it reminded Beau that he just happened to have decidedly less clothing holding off certain reactions at the moment. Just as he was starting to push those thoughts to the side, he felt his girlfriend collide with him.
Beau let out a yelp as he felt his head go under. Yeah, he should've figured that Liz would go for a dunk as opposed to something a little more... forward. He soon found his mouth filling with water. The swamp rat in him kicked in pretty quick though, and he held the water in his mouth for a moment. He felt her go away, drifting back, and heard the words as he resurfaced.
He waited a few moments while she spoke, raising his hands. his cheeks bulged like a chipmunk's, and what he intended was rather apparent. The gleam in his eyes only made it that much moreso.

Seeing Beau's cheeks puff up like that, it being filled with water did not occur to Elizabeth at first. He just looked completely ridiculous.
"Aww, water chipmunk!" She cooed with a snort of laughter. It only then occurred to her what exactly prompted him to do that and her smile dropped. "Oh Beau. No way. That's just gross. Get away from me!" She started to kick away from him, swimming off to other side of the bank.

Naturally, escape was not in the books. Beau did wait while Liz put it together, though he was slightly surprised that she didn't get it instantly. When things clicked for her though, Beau's usual grin took a nearly devilish look. He started swimming toward her, admittedly moving slowly. Clearly the swamp rat wasn't worried about the water in his mouth: he'd swallowed far worse back home. Seeing Liz cooing and flailing was definitely worth it.
Beau swam fairly well, even balancing a mouthful of water. Soon he got close enough to be within range of Liz. Then his mouth pursed and a small jet of water erupted from his mouth, fountaining toward Liz with decent accuracy. After all, you didn't grow up in a family filled with brothers without picking up a few tricks here and there.

Of course, she didn't really go too far too fast. Where was the fun in that? And when she got hit by the stream of water from Beau's mouth, it only gave her the opportunity to open fire as she started splashing him.
"You are so going to pay for that, LaRoux." She grinned back as she placed her hand on the surface of the water before releasing her body heat to heat up the water and with her abilities, she managed to shape the heated water into a wave to crash into Beau.
It had always been a theory that Elizabeth's ability could expand to that of her being able to manipulate anything with heat. Of course, her training had been exhausting but if it meant she could do special tricks like that, why the hell not get just a little exhausted every now and then?

Beau met grin for grin as Liz beamed at him. It held even as he saw what she was doing, though it turned into a muttered mess of soft-curses (darnit's and oh dang for the most part) as Beau tried to get away of the mass of water that headed toward him. Naturally, he couldn't get out of the way in time.
So the swamp rat found himself inundated with water. the wave practically sank him, putting that whole breath control thing to the test. Didn't help that it felt slightly warm too, which was actually kind of relaxing. It took a few seconds before a thoroughly soaked Beau managed to break the surface, squinting and letting out a much smaller squirt of water.
"I'm hopin' that you didn't add a little chemical to that water," he drawled, looking at Liz and smirking, "'cuz that would just be playin' wholly unfair. Already thinkin' I touched a fish or two. Must be after my worm, thinkin' they ain't never seen a meal that big," he added a roguish wink and chuckling, splashing around aimlessly a bit.

She raised an eyebrow at Beau's first sentence before bursting out laughing at the next one.
"Oh my f...Beau!" She swam closer to him and shaking her head, splashing his head with the water some more. "Besides, pretty sure 'worm' is an understatement." She teased as her hand moved down to his waist, a devilish smirk on her lips.
Without thinking, she moved forward while pulling Beau by his waist before planting her lips on his.

Always nice to know when a comment hit a mark, as it had done with Liz there. He could've done without the splash that followed, but Beau couldn't say he didn't deserve it. he just chuckled again, a sound that turned into a smile as Liz complimented, well, the "worm" in question. A hand moved down though, and Beau stiffened for a moment.
Because surely she---
she so would. Soon he found himself pulled forward. his lips met Liz's, and Beau's arms instinctively went around her. Bit hard to maintain being afloat, so the two sunk for the first few seconds. Not that breathing became much of a problem, as the connection of their lips would've stopped that for a bit. Bubbles soon came out as Beau swam them back up, not straining to pull Liz with him at all. They'd break the surface again soon, Beau still smiling at Liz.
"Can't say I wouldn't mind doin' more of that," he said, his voice as light as ever, though with a slight strain running through it.
