Zoe smiled wide as Devyn insisted that they give both games a try, adding a quick nod. She still waited only a moment, ready to take off. In fact, Zoe moved so quickly that Devyn nearly had to pull her back via the hand, causing her to let out another giggle. "Sorry," she said, raising Devyn's hand up to lightly kiss, "I guess I'm just giddy. This is fun, right?"
And definitely not having either of them worry about their relationship or SPECTRE or any rumors or anything. Zoe moved over to the ski ball games, eying them both. She dragged/walked with Devyn toward a pair of machines, both operable, both ski-ball with a sort of old time carnival theme. Without giving Devyn a chance to protest or say anything, Zoe stuck a token in each machine. The balls clacked into place onto their slots. Zoe gave Devyn a downright cheeky smile before dipping down to collect her first ball. She did have to release Devyn's hand to get a good grip on the ball, but she knew it would only be for a while.
Zoe chewed her lip for a while, listening as the machine let out various whirls and flashed lights, displaying the two scores. She slid the ball about with her fingers a bit, testing the friction, before looking over at Devyn. "Is it alright if I take my gloves off? Just for this game," she flicked her eyes over to the game then bit her lip feeling a little abashed for, well, everything she'd done in the last few moments but especially the last bit, the whole asking thing.

Zoe was moving quicker than Devyn had actually expected, like she was pretty sure Zoe would have taken off running if the game had been that far from where they were. It was very cute to see just how eager Zoe was to play the game and it ease Devyn's mood up a bit. She was just thankful that she had strong arms and that Zoe basically pulling her was not going to pull anything out of place or anything like that. Plus Zoe was not really all that powerful but still managed to somewhat drag Devyn with her eagerness to get to the game. "No need to apologize. It's really cute to see you in such a good mood." Devyn pointed out, fingers getting that tingly feeling as Zoe gave her hand a light kiss. The giggles, the kisses, and Zoe just basically surging forward had Devyn smiling the whole time now as her eyes were focused on Zoe. It was going to be fun probably solely because Zoe was like a little kid and having fun.
They reached the games as Devyn looked them over to make sure that they were in good condition. She didn't even get to say anything before Zoe was slipping coins and the balls were falling sown into place, ready to be picked up, and tossed up the ramp like structure. "Oh now you are just being too cute." Devyn said to that cheeky smile that Zoe was giving her. Oh how she wanted to tease her girlfriend or pull her close and teach her something of a lesson for being so bold. It was a good bold however and Devyn was pretty much proud to see that Zoe was just making the calls. Devyn's had was released as she moved to pick up a ball as well, feeling its weight to know just how much 'tossing power' she would need to put behind it. There had to be just the right amount or you were just going to send a ball flying and it would either fly off the game or wind up in the lowest point hole.
Devyn was about ready to go ahead and toss one to get a better feel for the whole throwing and get back in the swing of playing this game. She had played it in the past, but it had been a while. Devyn paused for a moment at the question, finding it odd that Zoe would ask her such a thing. Was it because she wanted Devyn to be more alert so no would accidently bump into Zoe's hand? As if Devyn was going to let anyone within arm’s length of her girlfriend, no way. "Sure? Why would I say no to that?" Devyn asked with confusion clear in her voice, wanting to know why Zoe asked such a question. Was she just worried about something or jus trying to make conversation?

The dismissal of Zoe's apology only served to further lift her already buoyed spirits. She beamed another wide smile at her girlfriend, before focusing back on the game and the situation. Devyn seemed almost as focused as Zoe, which roughly meant that both split their attentions between the game with all its noises and sounds and one another, fairly standard behavior for a date, actually. Zoe kept fingering her ball though, looking at the various holes. She thought she'd at least do better at this game than the last, though she still fully believed that Devyn would show her up again, especially if she kept her gloves on.
But Devyn didn't seem to have any issues with it, and Zoe just sort of shrugged. She wasn't sure why she'd thought that Devyn would; it was just... maybe she was so used to asking permission before doing something that she'd done it without thinking overmuch about it. Now she moved to slide her gloves from her hands, working the slender white digits. Neither hand looked too much the worse for wear after the little accident with the buttons earlier, which certainly put Zoe in a more pleasant mood. She smiled and looked over at Devyn, still seeing that slight confusion. Zoe lowered her eyes then, nibbling at her lip.
"no reason, I guess," she said, playing with the ball while she shrugged. "I guess I'm just used to it? Anyway," she smiled and nodded, then turned back to the game. She held the ball up, took careful aim, nodded, then swung her hand. The ball left her fingers easily enough, rolling straight up the ramp. Her aim had been solid too: it sank right into the seven hole just a little from the top. Zoe let out a little squeak, turning to beam up at Devyn. Of course, Devyn would likely be focused on the game, so Zoe shook herself off, turning back, hoping that she could repeat herself. It would be nice if she could earn a few tickets this time too, well, more than she already had.

Devyn was half tempted to just bite on the ball that she was holding in her hand, okay, less than half. It was more of a small fleeting urge that traveled in the back of her mind as she looked at the ball. There was no way in hell that Devyn was going to let that small urge win her over in this situation. This ball had to be really dirty, all the hands that touched it that probably were not washed, germy kid hands all over, probably some little kid who did put it in their mouth, and even the ball hitting the floor was a likely hood to just add to the overall filth of the ball. Good thing Devyn was not a germ freak, but she for sure would pull her hand away from Zoe if her girlfriend made any attempts to kiss at her finger again until she was able to wash her hands. Part of Devyn was convinced the balls were made dark so you could not see how much filth was on them. The ball was not heavy at all, but it could do some damage if it was used to say hit someone in the head or face with it.
Zoe's eyes lowered and she nibbled her lip, making Devyn worry for a moment that she should not have asked why Zoe had asked her whole glove question in the first place. "Well, don't worry about asking to do that sort of thing with me, I really don't mind." Devyn said simply, since again it was not really that big of a deal and she didn't understand why Zoe even had to ask such things. Sure she was being watched but did she have to ask to go to the bathroom from them too? She was an adult, she could have lived of campus if she wanted to and she didn't have the power that she did. Maybe the school would let Zoe move off at some point, but the question was if Zoe wanted to. Devyn did not really see Zoe doing it any time soon with the who bad guy rumors lurking about. Devyn went back to the game either way and tosses her ball, aiming for somewhere in the middle right now, and ended up getting the lowest score, which was zero. Not enough force. Devyn thought to herself until she heard the squeak from Zoe.
She was pleased to see that it was a good squeak and not something of Zoe hurting herself. She caught Zoe beaming up at her and how Zoe quickly went back to focus on the game. "Good one." Devyn said, figuring it would be good to give Zoe some praise because Zoe had in fact done better then Devyn. Picking up and throwing another ball, Devyn aimed for a higher point score in the corner, but missed and got zero points again. Well, i thought I was good at this game.[/i[ Devyn thought to herself, but she was not giving in yet, since she still had more balls which meant more room to try. Yet each time she kept putting too much force or too little and would miss her mark, but thankfully she did get one ball in the middle hole for thirty points and the one above that for forty. "I'm not doing so well at this one Zoe." Devyn said giving a small chuckle, going to watch how Zoe was doing.

Of course Devyn didn't mind, wouldn't mind. Zoe wasn't sure why she'd thought that Devyn would. She'd probably just gotten all messed up, what with the troubles with her supervisor and all the flashing lights and stuff. Zoe was still thrilled to be there, of course, but it definitely wasn't her usual place, that much was certain. She pushed that all to the side, focusing on the game. Again she pulled her hand back, aiming straight for the middle, determined to do well, or at least decent. the ball flew straight and landed right into the "8" hole, resulting in a little squeal from Zoe. She looked over and saw that Devyn had missed. Zoe paused and watched for a moment while Devyn threw again, saw the ball just touch the outside hole, and nearly gasped when it didn't hit.
then, feeling like she shouldn't be caught staring for some reason, Zoe turned back to her game. She threw her next one, a little rushed, a little weaker, and the ball bounced off an edge to land in the six zone. Which still gave her a decent enough score. She was just moving for another when Devyn spoke, drawing her attention over.
"Your score's still higher than mine," said Zoe, pointing up at them both. Though Zoe was still creeping up on Devyn. She giggled again before aiming and tossing, only to let out a little clap as the ball landed right in that middle hole, jumping her score up again. She grabbed her next ball, but waited, mostly so she could watch Devyn throw a few balls this time.
Post by Devyn Solway on May 13, 2014 21:18:31 GMT -6
Devyn didn't even know that Zoe was watching her, not that she would mind at all if Zoe was. She just hoped Zoe was not taking any visual lessons off of what she was doing because she was not doing all that good. Sure she did score a few times, but she had missed more. There was only a certain amount of balls you could throw before they ran out and you had done all that you could do. Devyn just hoped she was able to at least give them enough points to be able help towards winning tickets in this game. Zoe seemed to be crushing this game at least that was what Devyn assumed when she heard a squeal leave her girlfriend’s lips. She gave a soft chuckle, glancing over in her girlfriend’s direction but not saying anything as she focused for the time being on trying to get a few more balls in a good scoring hole, but the next one she tossed just ended up in the gutter again.
"Only by a little. So it is up to you to get us the jackpot of this game." Devyn said giving Zoe was warm smile. Good thing she was not a bad sport when it came to this sort of thing. Plus it was a team game so it was not as if it was a big deal if Zoe was doing better at this game then Devyn was. In fact that was good because then Zoe could say that she did in fact contribute to help getting her prize. Unless Zoe really did want Devyn to be the one to make the most points so it was more of a gift from her then one they got together. Man, what is the right thing to do in this situation? Devyn wondered to herself as she took a deep breath and went to toss another ball, landing it in the one of the lower zone. Followed by another zero point one for her next ball. Devyn looked over to Zoe in an innocent almost puppy dog apologetic look in her eyes since she was not doing so good still in this game and didn't want to be wasting their tokens.
"I'm going to need you to hug or kiss my pride all better after this." Devyn teased a little as she gave a small chuckle. She watched Zoe now, leaving it up to Zoe to pull the win for them at the moment. Devyn was counting up both their points and figuring out how many tickets they would get and if it would put them at their goal.

"I'll try," replied Zoe, adding a little giggle. She did seem to be handling this particular game better than her girlfriend. Control helped a lot for this, and once Zoe realized that there was a hole in the middle worth the third highest points, she had it made. The next two balls she tossed, gentle and straight as always, sank right into it. A third connected with the edge and bounced into the six ring again, which only seemed to further Zoe's "point" streak, as well as putting her above Devyn.
Who had given Zoe a hangdog look that had Zoe giggling all over again. It felt like she was nearly stuck in the whole giggling thing, but wasn't that the point of the whole date? Especially considering that they were in an arcade of all places. Zoe did give Devyn a sympathetic look as Devyn teased/whined. "Don't worry, I'll kiss it and make it better,' she teased. And then picked up her last ball. Another careful aim, and she sunk it into the center hole.
Zoe stepped aside, watching as the machine tallied their score and determined the point value. Soon several tickets, at least a couple dozen, spat out of the center ring, stretching at least long enough to hit the floor. Zoe almost did another little squeal and jump, but figured that she'd done enough of that for the time being. Instead she demurely reached to put her gloves back on, figuring that Devyn could pick up and count her tickets. After all, Devyn was supposed to be winning the toy for Zoe. that had been their plan.

Zoe's giggles were always cute and making Devyn just wanted to pick up her girlfriend and spin her around. Something you tended to do to little kids for fun, but Devyn liked to do it to people that were shorter than her and were being very cute. All of which Zoe was doing at this very moment. Devyn honestly wondered if Zoe understood how cute she was. Zoe had said it enough so at least Devyn didn't have to worry about Zoe's self-esteem when it came to her cute level. Zoe did seem to be worried about pretty much everything else about herself and Devyn just hoped that she or someone else would be able to convince Zoe otherwise. Points were racking up for Zoe as she seemed to have the perfect technique down for getting the ball to go where she wanted it to end up. Zoe soon passed Devyn in terms of points, as Devyn had pretty much figured. It had to be something involving with control, something that Devyn had been feeling she was losing in more than one way.
More giggles that just had Devyn smiling at her girlfriend now as she watched her and gave a pleased smile at Zoe's words. "So sweet of you. You know us dogs like to lick our wounds, be nice to have help with it." Devyn said with a small chuckle, noting that Zoe said kiss instead of kiss and hug. Devyn was all for kisses so there was no way she was going to point it out or complain. Granted she knew she should still be pulling back more on her physical with Zoe. Last ball and Zoe scored it right in the middle and the game was over. Counting up the points and spitting out the tickets that Devyn bent over to pick up and gather with the rest of the tickets. Watching a little as Zoe put on her gloves. "Pretty sure we have enough to get you that prize." Devyn said as she made sure she had them all and stood up to look at Zoe and then the prize booth area. "We can either get it now, or hold onto our tickets and get it later." Devyn suggested, even if she figured getting it now might be the best idea. They did not plan on getting anything else and there was no need to carry tickets around for all the time.
She went still for a moment as a thought hit her, but she didn't say anything and gave something of a stretch. "You still owe me a few photos in the photo booth. Don't think that I forgot." Devyn pointed out, giving Zoe a look but still was smiling at her. She had to admit, she was having a good time.

Zoe grinned as Devyn compared herself to a dog. She was tempted to argue, say that dogs weren't so handsome or anything, but she realized that Devyn matched the description in so very many ways. Protective, loyal, possibly even a little randy; those were certainly adjectives that canines and Solway shared quite well. Zoe put doggy thoughts to the side as she watched Devyn gather the tickets, apparently having decided that they had enough to get the prize. Zoe looked at the bundle in her girlfriend's hand, doing her own quick mental math and nodding.
"We should probably get it now," said Zoe, attempting to not sound overly excited, "just in case someone makes off with it," and then she leaned over and gave Devyn a quick kiss. A quick hug around the shoulders followed, with a gentle, grateful squeeze. Then Zoe was stepping away, her eyes turning toward the ground and away from Devyn, her feet shuffling a little. Devyn had just pointed out that they had to do photos, so that gave Zoe something to nod about and switch to.
"Yes, we do! We should also try playing a few games for fun," she said, pausing to dig around in her pocket and pull out what she had. "We actually got enough tickets really fast, so we've still got plenty of tokens here," at least eight or ten or so. Zoe silently counted them, leaving them in her palm while another hand moved them about. Yes, it looked like they certainly had enough for a few more games; an even number too, which was even better.

Devyn was very much a dog in so many ways. She was loyal to her friends, and not so much her bed partners, very protective, very territorial, and she was very randy someday. If she was in fact a dog her biggest crime that her trainers would want to fix would be her humping. Probably to the point that they would have to get her fixed in order for her to behave. The mental image made Devyn chuckle a little as she even pictured what kind of breed of dog she would be and how the family would only be able to handle her because she would beat up the other dogs or something along those lines. Question is if I would be good with kids or not? Devyn asked herself, pretty sure she would be at least a little bit since she more or less got along with kids. She didn't flirt or hit on them, but she was not a role model for them as a human, so as a dog it would be better. Since what kid would copy after their dog?
Zoe confirmed that they had enough tickets to Devyn just guess, and she was pleased that she had guess more or less right. Would be a bit funny if she had ended up wrong on it, but at the same time it didn't bother her all that much if she had been wrong. "True, it could be gone any moment." Devyn said, noting that sometimes a prize would be there one moment and then gone the next. Worse part they did not always have replacements for a few prizes. Devyn was going to ask if Devyn should go get it herself or if Zoe wanted to go with her, but lips were meeting hers. Devyn was able to give a quick kiss back and at least pat Zoe's back at the quick hug, chuckling at the squeeze. "You did it all too quick, not enough time for me to react and soak it in." Devyn teased, leaning in and moving a little closer to Zoe, but she stopped herself and then took a step back. Mentally scolding herself to be good and to stop thinking about how she just wanted more. This was for Zoe after all.
"Sounds like a plan. After we get the photo you pick what game we should play, deal?" Devyn asked reaching a hand out to stroke Zoe's cheek but hesitated and retuned her hand to her side. She wanted to say something, something she didn't want to say but it was on her mind and it was eating at her. "Want to go get your prize with me or I'll meet you at the photo booth?" Devyn asked, partly wanting to go along so she could get those words out of her mind for a small moment, but she would deal with it if Zoe wanted to go with her. She still wanted to be close to Zoe. All of it was driving her up an emotional wall on the inside.
Post by Zoe Wallerstein-Smythe on May 14, 2014 1:02:01 GMT -6
Not enough time to react; that had been the point, of course, and Zoe was tempted to say as much but instead elected to keep her lips sealed, if only for the moment. She watched Devyn move forward, then back, which probably just meant that Devyn was as excited and worked up about this whole thing as Zoe was. They were on a date! And there hadn't been any real drama or any hospitalizations or anything! True, their first date had been relatively stress free, which had been nice, but everything since, especially everything lately... it was all just too much.
Plan, prize, booth, Zoe nodding all the way around, agreeing with both the existence of a plan and with what said plan most likely entailed. "You should probably get it without me," said Zoe, considering and nodding, "That does seem the most romantic, doesn't it? I can go if you'd like though..." she trailed off, obviously uncertain as to whether this was the right course of action. She scooted toward the photobooth, still keeping her attention on Devyn, wholly uncertain as to what was going on here. Devyn felt... weird for a few moments there, and it certainly dampened Zoe's very noticeable excitement.
Post by Devyn Solway on May 14, 2014 1:46:54 GMT -6
This date had been going really well, and part of Devyn didn't want to be the one to mess it up. Yet, she had to say something. She had to get a few things off her chest; or she could ignore them for the sake of Zoe. Make a sacrifice of sorts for Zoe's sake, problem with that was because it was clouding Devyn's thoughts she more so felt like something was going to slip out no matter how careful she was. Devyn again was blaming feelings on all of this, stupid emotional feelings. Not helped by the fact that she had been having more nightmares then she was used to and kept losing control. Might have been time for another training lesson with Guy, let him know about the losing control, and maybe ask him for some advice? Devyn really, really did not want to ask for advice or really confide in anyone but her dad, but he was gone. The only like...older figure she had was Guy. Maybe he understands, be able to help, or at least help her figure things out.
"I'll go get it then. Shall I give it to you on one knee when I return?" Devyn asked in a teasing manner since Zoe brought up the whole romantic thing. Maybe Devyn could try and pretend to be one of the prince in the movies she watched, meaning mostly Disney princes since not a lot of movies had princes in them as far as she knew. Zoe just confirmed Devyn's choice as Zoe moved towards the photo booth. Turning to head over to cash in the tickets to get the prize, a little worried about leaving Zoe alone in fact. She kept looking over her shoulder to see if Zoe was in eye sight and if anyone was getting to close to her. Devyn really did not like being apart from Zoe when they were supposed to be out together. At least not when they were off the school grounds and there were so many people who were not mutants or just the fact that there were so many people around that it bothered Devyn. She was a loner after all and her need to look after Zoe was making her growl a little while she was away from her girlfriend.
The growling certainly got her a look from one of the people who were working at the prize stand. Devyn was not surprised when the guy moved away and had another worked deal with Devyn. Devyn had not complaints since the person that came over was a pretty good looking girl, one of those part timers she bet. Either way Devyn's growling stopped and she may have been dropping a flirty line or two as the tickets were counted. Luckily Zoe's prize was still there and Devyn pointed it out, asking to have it put in one of the colorful bags. What Devyn didn't notice was that the woman slipped her number on a small piece of paper with the prize into the bag before she handed it over to Devyn who did look over her should to check on Zoe. Devyn gave her thanks with a wink and then went over towards Zoe and the photo booth. "Sorry that took me a bit." Devyn apologized giving Zoe a smile.

Zoe just fidgeted and looked away as Devyn mentioned the getting on one knee thing. That actually sounded like a good idea to her, though probably a little too serious for this. Then again, Devyn could probably play it off as a joke. If anyone could do it, Devyn certainly could. But Zoe put it out of her mind, instead locating the photobooth and heading that way. Zoe looked over her shoulder a few times, mostly trying to figure out where Devyn went. This had sounded like a good idea at the time, but Zoe didn't like being separated from Devyn, especially when they were outside of campus with so many other people around. one wrong touch and Zoe could give herself away as the Lesbian Pikachu. Then they'd have all sorts of problems on hand.
As Zoe looked, she saw that her guardian had taken a seat at a table in the foot court just outside the arcade. The tables had obviously been arranged for nosy moms/parents to stare at their children while the little rugrats ran around and played all the games they could. Zoe offered a little wave to the woman, who raised what appeared to be an Orange Julius of some kind in Zoe's direction. Said watcher also raised a hand, tapping her wrist. Zoe frowned and dug into her pocket, checking the time. She'd been allowed at least a few hours, and they hadn't been in there that long. Yeah, she had plenty of time. She looked up to see that her bodyguard was just slurping at her drink, looking as innocent as possible.
About this time, Devyn arrived. Zoe turned to look at her girlfriend, grinning at the arrival, her heart already moving back up several notches. She slid the phone back into her pocket and gave Devyn a quick hug before excitedly taking the bag. She immediately opened it up, while verbally saying that Devyn didn't need to apologize. Within moments, Zoe was letting out a little gasp and doing a happy dance as she drew the Pikachu out, holding it up and admiring it. As she did, however, she saw a little something seemed to be fluttering off the toy. Zoe frowned, then bent to take it, looking it over. It looked... like a phone number. Zoe frowned, looking over at Devyn. 'What's this?" she asked, extending it for Devyn to look, obviously more confused than anything.
Post by Devyn Solway on May 15, 2014 2:08:26 GMT -6
By now Devyn had all but forgotten about the whole 'watcher' person since she had flirting, getting a prize, and Zoe to distract her. Helped by the fact that the woman that was out watching Zoe was not like right behind them. Leaving the prize counter Devyn found herself in a really good mood, sort of forgetting what she had been worried about. Not that she had totally forgotten, it was still there, just pushed a little deeper into her mind at the moment and time. Zoe was smiling as Devyn went over towards her, tempted to still try the whole getting on one knee thing but Zoe did not say anything about it and she did not want Zoe to get too flushed or anything just yet. Really she did just want to make this a fun and light moment for the two of them. They had been having fights and keeping their distance from one another, so in a way this was like the make-up date. Trying to make everything better at least for a little while.
A quick hug, one that Devyn did not get the chance to hug back, but she would deal with it this time around. Giving a small nod to Zoe, understanding that she had no reason to apologize. Devyn apologized anyway because she didn't like leaving Zoe along so it was more so an apology for leaving Zoe's side then it was for making Zoe wait. A gasp, a happy dance, and admiration of the toy. If Devyn didn't know any better it would have been as if she had actually surprised Zoe with a gift, but Zoe had been the one to pick the trinket out. Should get her something without her knowing, like I did with the stuff animal. Devyn thought to herself, noting that she had not been as spur of the moment with gifts like she did before they started dating, back when Devyn didn't feel like she was having to deal with an emotional internal battle. A paper fluttering towards the ground caught Devyn's eyes, thinking it to be a recite or something, but remember she didn't buy it at an actual store with real money so there would have been no need for such a thing.
"Hmm?" Devyn asked or more so made a slightly confused sound at seeing the pout on Zoe's face followed by the question. Devyn reached out to take the slip of paper and read it. Unable to suppress the smirk that slipped across her face for a moment as she went to stuff the number into her back pocket. "A cell phone number. Probably a fake one, because that was way too easy." Devyn said, being honest, probably going to end up throwing it away unless she got that look from that girl when she would pass by leaving. "It’s not a big deal either way. Let’s go get those photos so we can get back to gaming." Devyn said giving Zoe a smile and reaching out for Zoe's hand so she could hold it and try and give Zoe a small little tug so they could go into the booth to start picking through the different photo style options. Just play it off, no big deal. She should be fine...could even give her the number if its real. Devyn thought to herself, knowing the last one to be a bad idea so she would avoid it.
Post by Zoe Wallerstein-Smythe on May 15, 2014 19:04:41 GMT -6
Zoe watched Devyn read the paper, read and smirk, which meant that Devyn must know what it was, at least on some level. A...cell phone number? Zoe's eyes widened for a moment and she frowned, confusion wrinkling her pretty face. Way too... surely Devyn wasn't trying to get phone numbers while on a date with Zoe? Sure, Zoe knew that Devyn was, well, Devyn, and all, and she gave her plenty of limits. Those limits pretty well ended at "picking up other girls while on a date with your girlfriend."
"So... they give out fake cell numbers with stuff Pikachus now?" Zoe asked. Her attention went to Devyn's back pocket, wishing that she'd held onto the number now. No, no, she had to trust Devyn. Yes, trust, that was what you built relationships on. Zoe needed to trust Devyn. It was just... she kept wanting more, wanting this to be something and---
and she needed to just focus on the date. She'd been having fun until that number had shown up, and she still had her Pikachu. Zoe saw no reason not to hold onto the good memories and simply go with that. She gave in to the tug, entering the booth before Devyn. Zoe nearly winced as she saw all the various options, shifting. She really shouldn't think too much about the photography thing either, though that might distract from the other stuff that she shouldn't be thinking about.
Too much thinking, that was the problem here. Zoe leaned forward and poked a few of the screens, flipping through options herself, possibly even interrupting Devyn. Anything to get her to stop worrying was good in Zoe's books, especially now.
