Yeah, Devyn knew that dresses could get pretty expensive, especially those that were for prom or for weddings. Purses could run just as expensive and that was slightly why Devyn didn't really like 'girly' clothing. It was just too expensive and at times it just seemed to be getting well degrading. Not everything mind you, but Devyn did pick up on how things seemed to be getting tighter, shorter, and basically was not really leaving anything to the imagination. Some clothing basically let you see it all and if you were a bad person having you r way with someone against their will would have been really easy. The most expensive thing she ever bought for a girl was a purse and it was three hundred dollars or so. The only reason she had bought it was because the girl was really good in bed, their relationship had lasted pretty long, and the other girl bought her something that was near three hundred dollars. For a guy she spent up to two hundred dollars on some like cologne and suit to help him out for a job interview and he had been a good buddy and paid her back.

Zoe flushed as per usual when Devyn asked her about if that was what she wanted to get and said it was not that bad. Devyn looked at it and tilted her head, not seeing it as great as a large stuff animal but if it caught Zoe's eye then it didn't really matter what Devyn thought about it. "Then that will be our first prize goal." Devyn said giving Zoe a smile and noting how many tickets it cost and figuring out relatively how long it might take them to win it. Of course since it was not really expensive that left room for them to play none ticket related games and have some fun. Even if trying to get the right amount of tickets would still have been fun for Devyn. Devyn was looking at the other prizes until Zoe spoke up and pointed out a game that they could play. Her head turning to get a good look at the game and seeing that if they did luck out that would put them really close to the amount of tickets they wanted and only for just one game. It was perfect and Devyn was about to say as much but then Zoe was looking all bashful.

Devyn chuckled a little and moved to give Zoe's cheek a quick kiss and rubbed her girlfriends back. "Nothing really. Just wanted to come out here and have some fun with you." Devyn said honestly, sure there was that giant bear that had caught her eye but that was less for her and more so something she again would get for Zoe. Unless they were giving steak away as a prize, Devyn was pretty much set and didn't need or want anything. A game system would have been nice but she would go broke before she even reached the ticket amount required to win such a prize. "Come on, let’s go play this game and I'm pretty sure this arcade has a photo booth so we can even do that." Devyn suggested since she did spot one and knew how Zoe loved her photos. She gave Zoe's hand a small squeeze and a tug towards the light game, feeling confident in a way that one of them would be able to win at this.

First prize goal; Zoe nodded, willing to go with that. They had their goal; they had a machine to possibly start at, and, well, it all seemed rather set from there. Devyn's chuckling had Zoe looking up at her, wondering what that was all about. A back rub soon followed, along with Devyn insisting that she just wanted to have fun. Again Zoe found herself wondering at the veracity of that statement, not quite willing to believe that Devyn simply wanted to spend time. Devyn followed that up with a comment about photo booths, which made Zoe roll her eyes a little.

"Those things are always so silly," she protested, adding a sigh, "but since you want it, we'll do that. After we win a pikachu,' she said, tapping her girlfriend on the chest, making sure not to touch anything, well, uh, daring. So Zoe then held over toward the light game, finding Devyn soon following her. Zoe stared at it for a while, fingering a token that she'd pulled out. The light moved so quickly, and she wasn't sure that she had nearly good enough reflexes to manage this. She chewed her lip, looking over at Devyn.

"Do you think you could do it?" she asked. Oh, Zoe would certainly still try, considering that it looked like fun if nothing else. But she wanted them to actually win, too, that prize dangling. She put her token in anyway, wanting to show Devyn that she was willing to play along. A sound like thunder came out of the machine, causing Zoe to yelp and start. As soon as she realized what it was, she let out a giggle, coming forward, watching the spinning light while looking at Devyn out of the corner of her eye.

Devyn did want to have fun, but again it was mostly because she wanted Zoe to have fun and to have a good date. This had to be one that made Zoe smile and have more good memories...that way it would outweigh any bad. Still, Devyn did like to just hang out with her friends or people she was in a relationship with. She was not a total horn dog; she just could not help herself. She was pretty sure she would have calmed down around Zoe on her own if they actually slept together, but since that could not happen well it always seemed to be on the back of her mind. At the moment she kept it way back in the back of her mind and focused on beating the game, winning tickets, and the getting Zoe's prize. Then they could just have more fun and have a good date, and forget about the person who was watching them, who Devyn was still glancing over every so often. "They are indeed silly, so we will have to take silly photos and maybe a naughty photo or too." Devyn teased at the last part, giving Zoe a wink, but again she was just teasing and really could not help it.

"Deal, we win the Pikachu and then we get to take photos together alone in the booth." Devyn said in a certain tone and then let out a sigh and she rubbed at her face because she was still being bad in her words and the way she was speaking. Apparently avoiding Zoe and trying to be less touchy feely was not working out as well as she had hoped. She just hoped Zoe did not take her seriously and would not feel like she needed to do something to make Devyn happy. She was happy, just in and out of her thoughts, wants, and confusion. There was the pat to her chest that did not touch anything so Devyn could not even think about it in a groping sense, and didn't. Following after Zoe towards the game and giving it a good look over. Wanting to make sure it was not broken or had any ticket jams. She hated when you went to play a game and the ticket area was either broken or it was out of tickets.

Devyn tilted her head at the question, looking closely at the game and was already feeling the urge to just attack the light. I swear it’s a wolf thing and not a cat thing. Devyn thought to herself as she looked back up at Zoe when her girlfriend let out a yelp. Devyn chuckled at her girlfriend’s reaction and was distracted for a moment as the light started to go the other way around. "I'm sure I can; just give me at least three or four tries." Devyn said since she had to at least get the timing down which would at least for sure make her miss on the first time to see how fast and where the light stopped when she hit the button. Devyn went and removed her shades and slid them on top of her head, she had to blink a few times as her eyes had to deal with the light and it was not really fun to lock her green eyes onto the light, but it was necessary. She watched it spin around a few time before quickly hitting the button, hitting a two ticket spot. "Alright, I think I got it down, but you give it a try too." Devyn pointed out as she gave her eyes a quick rub and then looked up at Zoe to give it a try.

The teasing offer of taking naughty photos in public made Zoe fidget. She at least managed to fight back the blush, what with growing more and more used to Devyn's teasing. Zoe knew full well that Devyn wouldn't actually take photos in public, not knowing that it bothered Zoe so. Thus Zoe remained quiet right up until the next part, when Devyn repeated their plan. This struck Zoe as... odd, not so much the plan itself, but how Devyn worded it. The poet worked those words over in her mind while she stood at the game, half-watching the light, having wondering. She'd still managed her question though, which gave Devyn something to think about.

In fact, the question and the thunderclap completely disrupted Zoe train of thought. She couldn't even remember what she'd been worried about; in fact, even more worry left her as Devyn insisted that she could do this very well. Zoe nodded, taking a deep breath and focusing all her attention on the light for a while. well, nearly all, as she still kept looking over at Devyn, wondering what was going through her girlfriend's head. Devyn seemed to be doing decent enough, all things considered. Zoe shook her head and tried herself...

her first shot barely spat two tickets, her next was actually worse.

"I don't think I'm very good at this game," said Zoe, giggling a little. She straightened, watching the light with her eyes, focusing all her attention on it. When she moved to hit again, however, her hand slipped, the glove skidding across the panel. Zoe let out a little yelp as she felt her fingers connect with the glass, pulling her hand back and clutching it. to her surprise, however, she landed the light dangerously close to the arches, several tickets spitting out of the slot, at least ten, along with Zoe's previous four. 'I'm okay!' she insisted, "my hand just slipped," she flushed, realizing that, yet again, she'd done something silly and embarrassing.

Devyn saw the fidget and that didn't really help the whole trying to not make Zoe uneasy or anything plan. She was just going to have to try harder; it was literally like going out of character for her. Well, not too much. She just had to dial down the flirting that implied things, and keeps her hands to herself unless it was hand hold, rubbing Zoe's back, or giving her a hug. She could do that. I act as if I never did this before...because I don't really. Devyn thought to herself as she let out an inner sigh but there were games to focus on and getting that prize for Zoe. So all her focus was on that as she had given her go and then watched as Zoe would go. Watching someone else also helped her because she could still keep tract of the light and see where it would stop when she heard the sound of the button being pushed. She was using her sense for sure now, mostly her hearing, sight, and a little bit of her touch, but those were the ones she needed at the moment.

Zoe managed to get two tickets and did worse on her next go, but Devyn didn't say anything. Should she say something? She should, even more so when Zoe said she was not very good at the game. "Practice makes perfect, plus it’s all in good fun." Devyn explain in a simple tone, thinking she should say more. "..." Her mouth opened to say something but no words came out since the next incident had her jumping a little. Moving towards Zoe but stopped as her girlfriend just hit her fingers to the glass and got really close to the jackpot. Impressive for it being a chance thanks to a slip up on Zoe's part but Devyn smiled at her girlfriend either way. "You almost hit the jackpot; think you can do that again?" Devyn asked in a slight tease, hopefully one that Zoe didn't take in a bad way. She reached her hand out to take Zoe's hand that had hit the glass so she could kiss it better if Zoe would let her. "Is your hand out for sure?" Devyn asked to make sure since Zoe said she was fine, but were her fingers really okay with that kind of bumping into the glass?

"Can you put in a couple for me so I can try as well? I'm thinking you are going to be the one to win the jackpot at this rate ether way." Devyn said still giving Zoe a warm smile. There was that feeling again inside Devyn that just made her want to pull Zoe into a hug and have her close, but she ignored it. Instead moving back to focus on the game, ready to win this or at least get close. Eyes already locked on the light and hand hovering over the button ready to hit it as soon as it was in the right spot or close to it. If they could at least keep hitting close to it than that would add up the tickets at some point.

Practice made perfect, so long as you got better each time. Zoe was certain that she'd just gotten lucky, and was ready to say as much to Devyn. except Zoe's girlfriend picked up her hand and gave it a sweet little kiss. The gesture caught Zoe by surprise. Not so much that Devyn had decided to do it; it was, after all, a girlfriend thing to do. But that was just it: suddenly it felt like Devyn was acting, well, less like someone trying to get someone else to sleep with them, and more like a girlfriend. Had something changed?

No, no, Zoe wasn't going to overanalyze it. So far, this seemed like a good thing, and she needed more of those in her life. "My hand's fine, really," she managed, smiling at Devyn as the other girl worked her fingers. She then nodded and moved over to where Devyn had been standing. She slid a few of her already purchased tokens into the slots, the machine thundering and changing the direction of the light. Zoe exchanged the smile with Devyn, nodded, and moved back to her own machine. Zoe's fingers still felt a little of, so she worked at them, opening and closing her hand, wiggling them a bit. Devyn teased that Zoe would win, and Zoe giggled in response.

"I doubt it," she said. "That was a complete fluke. watch," and Zoe leaned forward, watching the light. she actually tried, mind, even getting her hand up to slap it. Her fingers slid again, though she managed to curl her hand in time so she just graced the machine. It stopped again, this time landing in the four ticket area. better than she'd been doing, but certainly not up to her fluke. "And we don't want to waste all our tokens here," she said, looking over at Devyn and smiling. "We should be having fun too, after all."

"Alright, but if you need me to massage it, let me know." Devyn offered since one she knew that Zoe liked it and two it would help her hand feel better. Devyn's power did not involve ice so she could not cool it unless she used her power to change form. Yet she one hundred percent could not do that here out in public and even less so with that person still here, who Devyn was forgetting about from time to time the more she focused on Zoe and the game. She could certainly warm Zoe's hand, that would be easy but she figure a massage worked best but she would only do it if Zoe gave her the okay to. That way she would behave herself and not be tempted to do other things while she would try and help Zoe's hand feel better. "Thank you." Devyn said as Zoe gave her some tokens since Devyn actually forgot to buy them so was currently using the ones Zoe had already when they had arrived. The game came to life and Devyn had a few tries now in order to win the jackpot.

The first hit, right next to the jackpot, the second hit, right next to the jackpot again but just on the other side. The machine still spitting out tickets at each little win and Devyn leaned in a little more, careful to not smack her head on the little glass dome. A cute giggle came from Zoe as she talked about how it was a complete fluke and even gave a demonstration. Zoe's hand slipping again but thankfully Zoe was able to protect her hand this time around. Zoe didn't win anything big, but it was still tickets. "Alright, then I'll win it for sure." Devyn said giving Zoe a smile still, her eyes dropping to Zoe's hands for a moment before she looked back at the light. Head nodding at Zoe's words about having fun and not to waste all of their tokens. "Then let’s wrap this game up." Devyn said taking a deep breath and blocking everything out, eyes locked on the light, then bam! She hit the button and hit her mark like she had hoped and knew that she would at some point. That machine giving its little jackpot sound and starting to spit out tickets.

"Yes!" Devyn gave a fist bump in the air, feeling really stoked that she had actually did it. Not that she didn't think she would be able to do it, but the fact that she did it right when she said she would. So they would have to add into the small amount of tickets they got before, plus the jackpot to see how many more tickets they would need. They also needed to check to see how many tokens they had left so Devyn knew if she should end up buying some too to help pay for the fun. Devyn looked at Zoe with a pleased victorious smile on her face. "Can my prize be a kiss?" Devyn asked, instead of just going over and kissing Zoe. She was still able to flirt, ask for what she wanted, and be good at the same time. At least she figured asking made it good.

Zoe could hear Devyn's near misses and had to fight back more giggles. At least Devyn did better at this silly game than Zoe. She tried yet again, and was surprised to find that she'd gotten closer than before. Still not right next to the arch like Devyn, but certainly better. No sooner had she managed then Devyn was talking about wrapping the game up. Zoe opened her mouth to point out her minor success, only to end up letting out a squeal as the machine went crazy. Tickets spat out of the slot like bullets from a machine gun. Zoe ripped her meager group off and darted over to Devyn. Arms went around Devyn immediately after that fist pump, with Zoe squeezing around Devyn's neck.

"Your prize is all those tickets," Zoe teased back. That didn't stop her from leaning forward to lightly kiss her girlfriend on the lips. barely had she connected, however, when she heard a cough. Zoe let out a sigh as she parted, turning to see that her guard stood some distance away. Zoe released Devyn, pulling back, wondering why exactly PDA qualified as being something they needed to be told off for.

Devyn did expect the squeal and chuckled a little at it, she did not expect the whole running and the whole arms going around her neck. Not that she was going to complain. It was nice to receive that form on a congratulation for the win and she had Zoe close to her like she had wanted. There was that squeeze around her neck that had Devyn moving to wrap her arms around her girlfriend’s body in plan on keeping her there for just a little longer. She was about to protest how winning the tickets was not really all that grand of a prize. Sure it meant that they were closer or had actually reached their ticket goal, but getting a kiss was far better. She didn't have to put up a fuss however when Zoe leaned forward and gave Devyn’s lips a light kiss. It didn't even last long or give Devyn like the full effect of actually having kissed Zoe. It was more like a ghost kiss where she felt like she had been kissed but her body didn't fully register it. The cough had to be the cause that caused Zoe to sigh and break the kiss.

Devyn was growling, eyes growing dark now because if there was one thing she hated more than having someone follow them around it was someone falling them around and 'blocking' her from any Zoe affection. Zoe moved away and Devyn took that chance to quickly move to approach and stand in front of the woman who dared let out the cough. "Oh come off it! It’s just a kiss. Not like I stuck my hands down anywhere and laid her out on the floor and had my way with her!" Devyn could not really help the yell because she was peeved, but thankfully her yelling at the moment was not super loud so not everyone in the arcade could hear them over the sound of all the games and people laughing and having a good time. Or not if they were losing.

Now Zoe couldn't help but be embarrassed as Devyn practically exploded with indignation and anger. Zoe did think that quite a it of it had been deserved, given the cough and everything. The last thing they needed was for someone to interrupt that, especially considering how good Devyn was being. Zoe, for her part just more or less hid behind Devyn.

"I was just going to get something from the food court," drawled the guard, pointing, "and I wanted to let you know not to leave here. If you'd like, I could complain about your displays of affection though."

"No!" said Zoe, stepping forward, trying to quickly cut Devyn off for making things worse, "it's fine, really. Isn't it Devyn?" she looked up at her girlfriend, hoping and praying that she was right.

Devyn was ready to fire back a counter argument to whatever the watcher said but it was not really related to their kissing. She was just going to go get something to eat and just didn't want them to leave. Oh, well great. I'm a asshole. Devyn thought to herself having a bit of shame for jumping the gun so quick. She was not really beating herself up too much about it since the woman had been giving them looks as she followed them. Maybe she was just grumpy with hunger. Devyn was going to apologize but the watcher brought up how she could complain about their display of affection. Devyn was about to go off now, maybe even tackle the other woman but Zoe stepped in front of her. Quickly saying that it was fine and then asking Devyn to basically agree. Devyn was still growling and glaring at the woman. She wanted to say no, but the look on Zoe's face and the fact that she was trying to make this a good time for Zoe made her bight her tongue. "Yesss." Devyn managed to get out through gritted teeth and in a bitter tone.

She then moved to work on picking up the tickets off the floor to 'get away' from the situation. Muttering under her breath about how the woman probably had not been laid and how Devyn could teach her a lesson in more than one way. Then she would never complain about seeing PDA every again. The growling was still there but Devyn eyes locked on the tickets and she remained on the ground gathering up the tickets and the machine still spit them out. Once she had gathered them all up she took a deep breath to keep in a more or less calm state, but it was clear she was still angry about the matter. "Do you think we need to get more tickets still?" Devyn asked, not looking at Zoe as she kept her eyes on the ground and clinched at the tickets that were in her hands. Remembering to not crumple them so they would be able to be counted correctly.

Zoe couldn't help but sigh as Devyn went along with it without fighting overmuch. Something told her that her personal shadow wouldn't take an open confrontation all that well, and the last thing Zoe needed or wanted was to have their date cut short because Devyn couldn't keep her temper in check. At least Devyn could manage that much, though Zoe recognized the effort. She reached over to give the other girl's hand a squeeze, figuring that a little physical affection in response would probably be a good idea.

The guard left, and Devyn focused back on the ticket thing. Zoe turned, seeing that the machine had finally finished spitting out the tickets. She glanced up at the numbers, seeing that they'd reset back to fifty tickets per jackpot. Which meant that there had been at least a few tries, though even their own attempts had sent the number creeping upward. Zoe  gathered her own tickets and quickly counted them, noting that she had just a little over twenty or so. Which meant hat if Devyn had already won that jackpot and was somewhere close to two hundred, they only had to get a few dozen more tickets.

"We might need a little more," she said, looking over their stash. "We needed two hundred and fifty, and I think we're just a little shy of that. Not much, mind you," she said, looking up at Devyn and smiling. She reached down to pick up the other end of the tickets, helping to wind it up from both sides, glad that they'd gotten so many so quickly. that meant that they could focus on having fun and get the pikachu out of it, which meant the best of both worlds.

The hand squeeze only helped a little, Devyn was still brewing a little bit over the matter but she just needed some time to cool down. She moved to put her shades back down over her eyes so not to be bothered by any areas that would have games that had a lot of light coming off of them. The guard left and that was enough to stop Devyn's growling for the moment and she took another deep breath to get back to a mellow state. She really was not normally this easy to piss off. She blamed the lack of action, and now was making a mental note to arrange getting some at some point soon. If she could not be all loving on Zoe then she was just going to have to get it other places. Pretty much what she had been doing from day one of them going out, only problem was her libido was still being stupid when the time actually would come to have the fun that she desired.

Devyn gave a small nod to Zoe saying that they were going to need a little more then, even with the ones Zoe had one, the ones Devyn one, and the jackpot. She figured getting to the desired number would not have been that easy, but she could have hoped. "Does this mean we play again or go to a new game?" Devyn asked, not wondering if that also meant that they were not going to get photos of one another now since they did not have enough for the main goal prize. Devyn didn’t smile back, but that was only because she was still getting control of her temper and not really in the mood for smiling just yet. Eyes looking around the arcade for what other game they could play in order to get them closer to their ticker goal. Or they could stay here and keep playing this game if Zoe wanted. Devyn was leaving it to Zoe's call, pretty much everything was going to be on Zoe's call.

"Sorry about...snapping on your watcher." Devyn then said after she let out a deep sigh. Giving a small smile at Zoe helping out with the tickets and wondering if she or Zoe should hold them all. "I guess I'm just a bit on edge." Devyn admitted as she gave a small chuckle and shrug her shoulders. Reaching into her pocket to grab at her wallet so she could buy more tokens. She didn't say anything however, because again leaving it to Zoe's choice and she didn't want to just walk off and risk upsetting Zoe for going off on her own to get more tokens.

Zoe heard the slight frustration in Devyn's voice and saw the consternation in her face. However, Zoe also knew full well what had caused it, and that had very little to do with Zoe herself. So she tactfully avoided mentioning it, knowing it best to simply move on. What she didn't avoid was answering the question: "We should play something else. this isn't that fun," she said, pointing. She didn't want to mention that part of the whole "not fun" aspect was the her hands kept sliding on the button.

She, too, looked up and around at the various machines, wondering if there was one that would be more fun. She saw a few ski-balls set up against a wall that might work alright, as well as what looked like a two-player game involving working together to get a set of metal balls into various holes using magnets at the end of long sticks. She was just about to suggest one of those when she heard Devyn's apology.

"No need to apologize, Devyn," she said, smiling, "she's a bit much, isn't she?" Zoe's eyes flicked toward where her "watcher" had wandered off, then smiled up at her girlfriend. She gave Devyn another squeeze, "and it's alright, I don't mind. Now," she released the hand, pointing at the games, "I'm thinking either ski-ball or that strange two-player one over there. I think there's actually a few of them, two-player games, I mean," said Zoe shifting about and looking. She took a few steps closer, paused to make sure Devyn was following, and then headed that way.

"Alright." Devyn said simply, very curious as to why Zoe said the game was no longer fun. Had it been because of the whole lighting sound? The fact that she might have hurt her hand? Or was the fact that Devyn had won? No, Zoe would not have minded Devyn wining and the whole arms around the neck and super quick kiss were proof of that. So it had to be the lightning sound or Zoe's hand. This was now on Devyn's mind as she tried to work out which one it could be. She had time to still think about it while Zoe was looking around at the other games as well but her mind was still caught up on trying to make it up to Zoe for losing it like that. Probably embarrassed her a little bit. Devyn thought to herself as her eyes looked down for a moment. Zoe's words about how there was no need to apologize and how the watcher was a bit much. Devyn opened her mouth to say something but instead kept it inside. She would not even be here if it was not for me.

"Why not give both a go?" Devyn said as she looked back and forth between the games but figured ski-ball would be the best out of the two. That involved tossing a ball and they could work together to win the tickets. "Ski-ball would be fun to do together." Devyn pointed out and Zoe seemed to be on the same line of thought since she too was moving towards the game. Devyn hesitates for a moment until Zoe paused to see if she was following. Devyn did follow and moved to takes Zoe's hand to hold it while they walked over towards the game. Her mind still wondering about everything and if she could actually just stay the whole good girlfriend role and for how long. She so wanted to make a commit about how the game just looked perfect to lay Zoe down on her back, but no she could not say that. I swear the more I fight it the more it seems to be harder. Devyn thought to herself as she let out a sigh but then put her game face on. She was going to have fun, let Zoe have fun, and this was going to be a good date!
