Day 32.
It had been a long day, class was the least of her concerns. As each day passed she wasn’t sure how much longer she could take being here. She had gotten nothing she wanted so far out of coming here and if anything all it brought was added annoyance.
As she walked down the long hallway the sound of her heels echoed throughout. Victoria was making her way towards her office when someone ran passed her bumping her slightly as they did. She stumbled back a bit before losing her handle on the stack of papers and folders she had been carrying sending them flying up in the air, scattered about in the hallway. “Êtes-vous putain sérieux?” She spat, furious she snapped her head around to see the idiot that had caused this, but they were already long gone.
Victoria stood still, adjusting her dress and fixing her hair when her grey eyes landed on an innocent passerby. “You.” She pointed at the boy. “Be a gentleman and pick these up for me why don’t you?” She asked, although it was more of an order. She arched a brow, and folded her arms across her chest while she waited.

The day had gone as any other. Class. A break. More class. The same routine as always. Nothing had disrupted it, so Andrew was content. He was heading back to his apartment. He had work today. He was turning the corner when someone sprinted past him. Andrew frowned, but they hadn't bumped into him. They'd disturbed someone else. A woman. A woman who spat something out in another language. Andrew didn't understand it, but he doubted it was kind.
He glanced at her scattered papers. It was a mess. She had a reason to be angry. Yet then she spotted him. Andrew looked up when addressed. She gave him a command. Pick the papers up. Andrew's brows furrowed slightly. She seemed older. Perhaps a teacher? Still he was tempted to ignore her. Yet he shouldn't. Not her. Besides, the sooner he helped then the sooner he could leave. He only hesitated a second before walking forward. He gathered the fallen items up carefully before offering them back. "Here."

Victoria stood tall, waiting as the boy she had singled out made his way about cleaning up the mess that someone else had created. Was it fair? No. Did she care? Not really. He was just smart enough to listen. She took the papers back from the boy who had so graciously gathered them from the floor for her. Was she incapable of doing it herself? No. Did she really want to bend down and pick up crap from the floor? Not really.
She eyed the boy for a moment. Giving him a quick once over. He was tall. Victoria wasn’t a fan of anyone taller than her. It gave her the impression that they thought they were better than her, superior even, and no one, no one was better than her. That she knew was true.
“Thank you.” She said to the boy, a rare gesture ever given by her. But it was deserved. She heard loud footsteps coming from behind her. The running student again. She whipped around as she spotted the culprit heading back her way. Her free hand began to move, almost as if was dancing in the air, it was her favorite thing, she hadn’t done it in a while and well, what better than to scratch the itch now? As the student got closer Victoria finished her little hand dance with a wave in front of the student. Immediately the child was stationary. Arms up side by side in a running position, his feet one in front of the other, his mouth parted slightly from his rapid breathing. She walked up to him slowly, savoring this moment. A devilish smirk grew on the corner of her mouth. “No running in the hallway.”
The brunette turned back and continued down the hall, she eyes the boy who had helped her collect her paperwork. “You. Come with me.” She said as she continued towards her office. As for the boy stuck in the hallway, well, she wasn’t too concerned. It would wear off…eventually.

She thanked him. Andrew had a feeling it was rare. She seemed confident. Arrogant? Maybe. She held herself up higher, even if Andrew topped her. Yet she's thanked him, and their interaction seemed complete. Then came the footsteps. Andrew turned his head. He noticed how the teacher was making strange gestures. He didn't know why until the running student suddenly froze.
A smirk appeared on her face. One did on his as well. But it lasted only an instant. He held no sympathy for the other. As far as he was concerned, the boy got what he deserved. There was another command. Andrew glanced at the woman. She wasn't done with him? Andrew didn't know whether to be worried or not. Or care at all. Yet he couldn't disobey her. So he followed. "Yes Miss."

Victoria continued ahead, fully assured that the boy had followed her. As she entered her office she gestured to a chair, “Please, sit.” She said as she closed the door after the boy had entered. She made her way around the desk and dropped the pile of papers on her desk resulting in a loud thud. She remained standing, giving her the illusion that she was taller than him now that he was sitting. She was a fool to think it was true.
Her grey eyes narrowed on the boy in front of her. She was trying to read him, but he revealed nothing. She purse her lips slightly before speaking. “What’s your name?” He reminded her slightly of herself. That much had caught her attention. The only difference was he actually obeyed an order. It would be foolish to think she’d do the same.

They got to an office. Her office no doubt. Andrew found himself looking. Searching. Why had she brought him here? She ordered him to sit. He was curious. His routine was being disturbed but he didn't have much of a choice. He sat. While she put her things away, he thought. Made changes in his plan. He would adapt, as much as he didn't want to.
She stayed standing. Maybe she wanted to feel taller? Andrew didn't care. He met her gaze. Held it. She was observing him. What for? Did he resemble someone? He didn't think he was in trouble. He would've known in the hall, he was sure. She asked for his name. "Andrew Corbin." He answered. "And you?" It only seemed fair. At least to him.

Victoria stood tall, watching him curiously. She leaned over and clicked her mouse trying to wake up her computer as if it was vital that she did. It wasn’t. She returned to her stance, and walked around to the front of her desk. Her grey eyes narrowing in on the boy in the chair. He gave his name. Andrew. She arched a brow, “Miss. Devereux.” Only two people knew her first name, and she’d do everything in her power to keep it that way.
“Tell me Andrew. What can you do?” She asked as she wiggled her fingers in front of him. It was a fair question. He knew her ability. She smirked at the thought of the kid in the hallway. He was still probably there. Maybe what she had come here for wasn’t a lost cause. He seemed to be obedient. Which was always a plus for people she liked. He was reserved and seemed to be built well physically, the height was a definite plus. Her eyes never left him. She pursed her lips before pointing at him, “You should take my French class.” She suggested, although, it was more than just that.

She loomed over him, or tried to. She also tried waking her computer. Andrew observed her the whole time. Was she stalling? or just showing she didn't care? Maybe that was it. She didn't seem like she cared. Finally she faced him once he gave his name. She gave hers. Miss Devereux. She put emphasis on it. She didn't give her first name either. Andrew was fine with that. So he nodded. Then came a question. What could he do? She wiggled her fingers in front of him. He knew what she was asking.
"I have enhanced senses. All of them." He replied. Nothing too flashy. He wouldn't want that. His already came with annoying consequences and side-effects. He didn't want to think of how it could be worse. She smirked. Andrew had no idea why. But maybe it was her victim in the hall? He'd gotten what he deserved, as far as Andrew was concerned. She held his eyes. He held hers right back. She spoke. Suggested he take her french class. or more like commanded. Andrew regarded her silently. for a few moments. "I would be completely new to the language." He had no idea why she would want him to take it. Had he done something good in their short interaction together?
