((Pre-dating the Camping trip))
A few weeks, one stressful conversation with his best friend and an intervention from his trainer following the argument between him and the older Carstyn twin, William found himself nearly worn thin. Fast approaching was the Earth Day camping trip, which his darling trainer had signed him up for without his permission, after finding out that he was practically on his death bed. She was insisting upon him living a life that he would have if he weren't sick. And on top of that, she'd hinted that the other Carstyn twin would be partaking in the camping trip, which had sparked his interest, despite his best efforts to hide it from Quinn.
First and foremost, however, he felt he needed to come clean with her. Cassidy wasn't aware of the little spat between her sister and him, the ongoing grudge that Adrianna was holding over him. She didn't know that her sister was convinced he was satan, or maybe she was? However, he didn't seem to think that she knew about Adrian's little threat that she had made and the knowledge she had obtained about him. Will was not keen on the idea of Adrianna outing him to Cassidy about his illness, it was not her place nor was it her business. He wasn't dead, for all she knew, he could pull through his leukemia and live on past the two years he'd been given.
Staying away from Cassidy was not something he planned, and it wasn't what he wanted. She was the only person that had been truly nice to him and had even pulled out a kind response from him. That...and she was one of the only girls that had ever peaked any interest in him as far as attraction went. If not the only girl.
With a sigh and after some serious hesitation, William dialed the number that she had texted him from a few days prior about their study date. He had to hear her voice, he wanted to see her, but for now, the phone would have to do. As it rang, he thought of some witty way of starting the conversation, and he struggled.
And as the other line was picked up, he froze.
