Alessandra Marie Davine
FACE CLAIM: Eiza Gonzalez
---------------------------------
AGE: 21
GENDER: Female
ORIENTATION: Bi-Curious
POSITION: College Student | Intern for Kalispell TV & Radio Station
POWER: Psychometry
The ability to gather details (future, past, and present), information, and "visions" from touching a person, an object, or being in a specific place. This ability is used with (psionic) capability with the help of her senses (touch, taste, sight, sound etc) that can automatically trigger her abilities. While she may have short to medium visions or flashbacks most of the time, she can also gather small details from past or future events as if she could get a slight sense if a situation will be good, or if it will be bad, etc. Or even smaller details, like pictures of an item or words, and even numbers.
Her abilities are most likely to trigger and happen at any time without her consent and/or against her will. They are also less likely to happen by will unless a great amount of concentration is to be had. During the use of her powers, it may look as if she's daydreaming, or in some kind of trance, or even with her eyes closed if she's concentrating to use them at will. If one of her flashbacks or visions are drawn out to be long and detailed, it takes more energy and she's most likely to get the "feel" or "emotions" linked with that vision.
LIMITATIONS:
Future visions will not always be accurate.
Visions may show possible but not final.
Needs concentration and to touch an object/person/place to bring up a vision at will.
Visions may not happen at will.
Her abilities may activate unexpectedly.
Sometimes visions may not leave details about when event will occur leaving her clueless.
Sometimes visions may also be unclear or blurred in a sense.
Visions are also likely to happen only seconds before event occurs.
SIDE-EFFECTS:
Headaches
Mental exhaustion
Temporal disorientation
Fainting after long and drawn out visions
Emotional exhaustion
Altered Emotions
Paranoia
Fear of touching random objects/people
Dislikes being handed things by strangers
HEIGHT: 5'7
HAIR COLOR: Deep Chestnut
EYE COLOR: Brown
MISC: Freckles that are fairly noticeable when no makeup is being worn. Other than her two regular ear piercings, Aless has four more that go up her ear, as well on each ear. Her body language gives off more of the "Girl Next Door", nothing too drastic or noticeable but may back off or even avoid just a bit due to her abilities.
PERSONALITY:
She is curious. Alessandra has a tendency of poking her head into situations and information that might not always belong to her. She's just born curious and her abilities don't really help the fact. After a vision, or some kind of clue, if she has no idea to what it's meant for, she'll go out of her way to research and try to find ways to piece a clue together. That and Wikipedia is kind of an addicting site no matter what you're looking for. The girl just can't help it. Sarcasm at it's best. It helps her deal with uncomfortable situations and it's really her go to when it comes to responding to anyone... especially those she can't really stand to be around.
Alessa can be a bit clumsy. Since the beginning of time, she has dodged most of every kind of physical sport and activity, just for the mere fact that she can and will trip, fall, break, drop, and bump into anything. It kind of got worst once her powers manifested as she was often afraid of just picking up any old thing. Though, around her late teens to her early twenties, she's gotten better. Day-Dreamer. It's not very hard for her to get lost in thought. Often becomes a habit when alone or in an area where she believes no one is paying attention to her. Most of the time it's a continuous thing even right after her powers activate.
The Observant Observer When you have abilities that consist of visions your whole teen life, it's kind of hard not to take notice of details in every situation, no matter small or big. Which makes her a great listener, and often is sought out to be the eyes and ears and not really the mouth because she can be quite... Blunt. Alessandra can be friendly and will show respect if you show it back but her mouth doesn't really have a filter on it. Often saying whatever comes to mind, how she feels, or what she thinks you should know without really checking for your feelings first.
SECRET(S): Once called the Child Protective Services on her parents because she was tired of being bullied in school, as she didn't understand why she couldn't have a "normal life" compared to the other kids.
MOTHER: Elizabeth Davine
MOTHER: Sharon Davine (nee' Conner)
SIBLINGS: Siea Davine
WORTHY MENTIONS: Ivy - Sphinx Cat
CHILDHOOD: Her biological family comes from a long line of Latinos. Alessandra never met her parents, even as a baby. Her biological mother was not financial prepared to take care of her, so she offered to give her child up for adoption around the same time a couple also filed to adopt a new child. Seeing how the two women could not have one of their own, they found adoption to be their best bet. While it was an emotional rollercoster for Alessa's biological mother, she eventually gave up her child right after birth.
As far as she can remember and with the memories recorded through film and photos, she had quite the happy life as a kid. Not many problems on her part, she was a healthy and bright child who never really rebelled even during her terrible twos. It wasn't until she went off to school, that she noticed differences and started comparing herself to the other kids. She started noticing that a lot of the kids looked just like their parents and both parents consisted of a mother and a father. While Alessandra on the other hand looked nothing like her parents and they were both women. The only cool part was that one was a police officer and the other owned a bar and restaurant.
It started to become more apparent as she got older and while her parents tried to show and teach her that being apart of a family that was "different" was never a bad thing. Aless tried to accept it but found it really hard to. The other kids often teased her about it and she became more distant and less interested in being apart of team sports or any of the sort. It even got to the part that she somehow found out about Children Protective Services and called the CPS on her mothers, almost regretting it the moment a police officer and a social worker showed up to their home asking questions. Because of the guilt, Aless then fessed up and told her parents what she did and why. While they weren't too happy about it (considering how ruthless Florida was when it came to gay marriages and adopted children), they eventually learned to accept her fears and tried to help her get over them.
ADOLESCENCE:
The older she became, Aless realized that physical sports were just still not her thing. Instead she joined stuff like Book Clubs and Clubs that dealt with Community Service and Astronomy. It didn't help that she had to model a set of braces for a few years up until she reached the age of sixteen. A few months after her sixteenth birthday, she was asked to do some spring cleaning with the family. So she worked on the basement while her mothers and sister worked on other areas of the house. While in the basement, Alessa found her personal decorated scrap book that consisted of her accomplishments and then some. When she went to trace a copy of her birth certificate, she had some kind flashback... a vision? She could see blurs of a woman giving birth while her parents were there giving support. It zoomed to an image of the woman crying as she held the baby, only to hand her over to her parents. "We've decided on a name." The two cried with joy as they sat next to the woman who was clearly exhausted from the labor. "We've decided to name her Alessandra Marie... The Marie being after you."
The long drawn out vision finally ended, causing Aless to quickly stand up in fear, confusion and panic, only to realize she stood up way too fast; Causing her to pass out onto the cold hard basement floor. By the time the teen woke up, it was a day later and she was in a hospital. While her mothers didn't want to tell her what was going on, they finally did. They had to explain how mutation worked and that she was a mutant, and the vision she had was apart of her powers. That and they received a visit from staff of a school and this school sought out young mutants to help them with their abilities. While they didn't make it clear, Aless got the hint that she'd have to go to this new school and she wasn't too happy about it. The tears showed as much.
ADULTHOOD: Though, she did go along and took her things to The Bellefonte Academy. During her years there, she had gone through quite the ups and downs, from breakups to breakdowns, from her powers developing in ways she didn't want them to, to her finally growing into her looks and keeping up with the new trends. She even graduated, only to agree to attend college to work on a Journalism major. And during SPRITE she found a slight shift in her powers to the point where vision became more detailed but still didn't always end up accurate. So after her 21st birthday, in January, Aless decided to move out into her own apartment with an internship at the local television and news station that also handled the daily newspapers in Kalispell.
