Originally from New York, Vera has gone through quite a lot throughout the years. From losing her parents, to surviving death. From dealing with heartaches to getting married to her high school sweetheart. She has gone from an unstable, rebellious, and rowdy teen to now a more stable, serious, and almost "level-headed" adult. She once had dreams of being a Detective as she hoped to rank up in the Police Force, only to get a better offer from Drew Conner to work for Helios.

Born and raised in Ghana, West Africa, Oneyka originally attended one Bellefonte's sister's schools in South Africa. She was chosen to represent them among a small few during IMAC. Only to choose to stay in the States and transfer to BA permanently. Her choice may have been the cause of her falling head over heels for a certain wacky Irish individual. A few years passed and the two managed to get through more than enough obstacles. Oneyka managed to even juggle her new job as a teacher's assistant, her love life, and social life all in one. Though, that all changed when she received a call from her mother concerning her father's health. Sadly, Oneyka took no hesitation in leaving the States, only having to break up with Jack so that it would be fair to him and yet the decision broke her in more ways than one as she has feared he either hates her or has done his best to get over her. She ended up losing her father to cancer, as well as her ability to keep herself together. Once an headstrong, brilliant, independent, optimistic ray of light, Oneyka has become just a bit more unstable when it comes to her emotions and a bit more anti-social because of it. She has been trying to pull herself together ever since her arrival back to the States.
*Open for plotting as she is in dire need of her support system, meeting new people, and trying to get her back to how she used to be.
