Glasses up, heads back. Her hand went back down as Vi finished her drink. A smile formed as she caught the song on the jukebox. She was happy to be back. The small bar had been sorely missed while she was back home with Ma and Pa. The smile widened as Violet's eyes swept over the rest of the bar. Familiar faces caught her eyes, and the feeling of belonging grew.
Glad to see some things haven't changed while I was gone.
Head turned and arm raised, Violet waved over the bartender to buy another drink. On good terms, it was easy for her to acquire another. Sometimes being sweetly soft-spoken was good. New drink in hand, Vi took another sip. Liquid heat slipping down, her smile just grew. Comfortable, Vi eased into her seat until someone else joined her at the counter. Head nodding in greeting, she offered them her smile. "Howdy there." She said, voice soft and accent thick. "Looks like you came when it's actually peaceful fer once. Now that's rare." She joked, chuckle following.

Noah almost didn't know what to do with himself. Everything was unpacked at the new house and the family was settling in as well as could be expected. His youngest was spending the night at a friend's house and his oldest had a group of her own friends over making his presence at home something of a contentious topic. Left with little else to do and all but being run out of the house by a handful of teenage girls, Noah opted to do something he hadn't done in the better part of a decade: He went out.
Just the mere thought of hitting the town on his own was somewhat daunting. It had been years since he'd bothered going to a bar and even as he pushed his way into the Hole in the Wall, Noah still wasn't all that sure he wanted to be there. With a faint shake of his head he crossed the room and took up a spot at the bar, lifting a hand to signal the bartender before a soft voice cut through the din of his mind.
"Must be my lucky night." Noah replied with a light chuckle as he cast a glance to the woman sitting beside him. He couldn't help but give her a subtle look over, it was his nature to do so with everyone he met. He found it an unfortunate byproduct of his profession.

He chuckled and Violet's smile grew. Head nodding, she took another sip of her drink. She was glad the night was quiet. Rowdier ones weren't as enjoyable, although with her power she could easily help calm people down. Eyes returning, she regarded her counter companion. Curiosity growing, she couldn't help it.
He seems older than me. Reminds me of Pa too. I wonder if he's got kids.
Thoughts roaming, Violet idly drank from her bottle. "Rough day?" She asked, voice soft. From what Violet had seen when he walked in, the man seemed a little consumed in his thoughts. She was glad she hadn't startled him when she spoke, although with her voice it was a rarity. "Don't mean'ta pry if I am. You just seem like you've got somethin' on your mind." She explained, tone gentle.
