”Ok what the actual fuck happened here?”
Chris had to stare in open bewilderment at the classroom. Although from what he could see, it was more like the remains of a classroom. Chris’s gaze swept over the marks along the ground, one side of the room looking like a miniature epicenter. He figured someone’s power had gone off and caused all this. Honestly he didn’t care all too much, but there was one thing that grabbed his attention. No matter where Chris looked, no one else was in the room. He frowned and checked his watch. As far as he knew, he was on time.
”What did they cancel the class but not say anything?”
Chris’s frown increased as he dropped his wrist. To his knowledge he hadn’t gotten anything telling him class was cancelled. Although he realized this accident might’ve happened too suddenly for the teacher to properly inform Chris and the rest. He scowled and stomped his foot.
”Fucking teacher.”
He glared at the room before turning, but ended up bumping into some other guy. Chris raised an eyebrow at him.
”If you’re here for class I think it got cancelled on account of the room being sort of blown the fuck up.”

Going to class wasn't something Jaxon was used to. In fact, this morning he had tried to ditch this particular one coming up but was stopped by an academy official and advised to do otherwise. He figured it was better than getting written up or something since he was on such a tight watch. As he walked through the beautiful campus he lit a cigarette and pressing it between his lips as he walked, trying not to take it out with his hands. The morning air was cold and Jaxon's hand were warms stuffed into the pockets of his sweatshirt.
When he came upon the entrance of the building that his class was in, Jax stopped the cigarette onto the ground in a patch of nearby snow. He reached out and grabbed the frosted handle before swinging the door open and walking inside. Usually there were people lining the halls and what not before class. There were people but none where his specific room was. His brows knitted together as he advanced closer. He took one last suspecting look down the hall and he walked into some man standing just a foot inside.
Jaxon hadn't seen him and when he turned around it was too late. "Shit." He grunted as they collided. "Sorry, sorry. Didn't see you there." He took a glance over the guys shoulder and into the room. "We got the day off today?" A smirked grew across his face. The reason why the class was empty had something to do with it's current blown up looking state. Jaxon didn't care to ask or find out why and what happened. The thought never crossed his mind. "Hell yeah."

”Shit. Sorry, sorry. Didn’t see you there.”
Chris shrugged at the guy’s apology, for once not ready to bite someone’s head off for it. He was still half miffed and grateful for the cancelled class to really care about the stranger.
"We got the day off today?”
Chris snickered and glanced back into the room with Jaxon.
”Looks like it. Probably some idiot couldn’t control their powers.”
Chris mused it mainly to himself. He couldn’t see any other explanation unless someone had been doing a science experiment in the room and failed miserably. Although this wasn’t exactly the room for that sort of thing.
”Hell yeah.”
Chris looked back over at Jaxon, temporarily forgetting he was even there. Now he raised an eyebrow at the boy, trying to remember if he’d seen him before.
”Are you in my class? I’ve never seen your mug around here.” Although to be honest it wasn’t like Chris cared much about the others in his class unless they angered him. ”Who’re you? Name’s Chris by the way.” He looked back into the classroom and scowled. ”Whoever you are, I wish the damn teacher had given us an earlier head’s up.”

Jaxon had stepped out of the door way and leaned against the wall next to it. He bent his head back and stared at the ceiling. What am I going to do, he thought now that he had a free day. In his attempt at ditching, he didn't really think about where he was going or what he was going to do.
When the guy mentioned powers going out of control, Jax took another look over his shoulder into the room and peered at the disaster. "That's probably what happened. This isn't exactly a chemistry lab." He scoffed at the plain room with a teacher's space in the front and rows of desks looking onto it. The walls were tan and nothing but a simple white board hung over the desk. Of course, there was some clutter in the center where it appeared some sort of explosion happened.
When the guy questioned him, Jax turned. "Yeah, yeah. Consolers got me on some strict schedule now. It's really a hit or miss for me. I do show, sleeping in the back is my go to if they catch me trying to ditch." He shrugged and took a last look before turning outside. "Jaxon."

”I have a feeling it would’ve been a fuck of a lot worse if this was actually a chemistry lab and this sort of shit happened.”
Chris could only imagine the amount of damage and probably casualties if chemicals had also been involved in whatever mess this had been. He snickered and shook his head before turning it to observe Jaxon.
"Yeah, yeah. Consolers got me on some strict schedule now. It's really a hit or miss for me. I do show, sleeping in the back is my go to if they catch me trying to ditch.”
Chris found himself chuckling and shrugged as he turned away from the doorway too.
”Sounds a fuck of a lot like me. Besides this class is usually boring as hell anyways.”
Honestly Chris wasn’t as much concerned as he was annoyed by the fact he could’ve used this time to sleep or do something else he actually felt like doing.
”Jaxon. Hey, I'm not complaining. No class is no class.”
Chris rolled his eyes, slightly agreeing but not willing to admit that.
”Yeah yeah. Still would’ve like more of a warning so I could’ve actually slept in rather than wasting time to shlep my ass all the way here. But whatever.” He adjusted the bag on his shoulders and glanced back at Jaxon. ”So what the hell are you doing now?”

Over the short few seconds with this guy, Jaxon could tell he was pretty worked up about the whole ordeal. Personally, Jaxon didn't have anything much better to do now that he was "out of trouble". Maybe this was his present from an outside force for being so good.
When he mentioned the chemistry lab Jaxon snorted in agreement. "Who knows what the hell happened, really." The telekinetic stopped when Chris related himself to him. Jaxon was already turned out the door when he said it and he rolled his eyes. This guy was in no way "a fuck of a lot" like him. "Oh I bet." Jaxon sarcastically called to him from the hallway.
The walked out with him and continued to complain. Jaxon just listened to him and smirked. "You're uh - pretty upset about this huh?" He scoffed a bit at him before walking out the door and holding it for him. "I don't really have anything going on at the moment." Jax looked down at his watch. It was around 3:30pm, kind of a weird time for an outing.
