Day 7.
One week. It’s only been a week in this godforsaken hell hole and already she was questioning her decision to come here. She had already fired and rehired Louis five times since arrival. She had finally gotten her office to her liking even though it took twice as long as it should have.
Victoria was heading back to her house from the academy driving through the bustling town that was her new home. She kept her grey eyes ahead, not really caring about the other people that were out and about. Her mind was focused on the conference call that she was going to have with her father later. He would not be happy, but then again she didn’t really care. Business was business.
She had stopped at a store to grab a cup of coffee before heading home. She got in her car and when she went to start it the engine made a few weird noises and then stopped. “You’ve got to be kidding.” Annoyed, she got out of the car and opened the hood (not that she knew much about cars). Normally, she’d get call Louis to deal with it. But he was still on probation and on an errand for her back in Quebec. Beyond frustrated, she picked up her phone anyways and proceeded to call him.
Victoria made paced back and forth as her phone rang but no answer. The brunette got peeked back in the car and grabbed her purse before gently closing the door. Her heels clicked on the pavement with each step she took. Her grey eyes scanned the parking lot, it was on the empty side. She closed her eyes momentarily, searching her brain for what to do next. She adjusted the sleeved of her jacket before arching a brow. Why was she here?
