Elizabeth was leaning back in her chair already making sure to send an email to the entire AMA of this news that was slowly coming to light, even if she doubted it’ll come to light. No doubt this was just a call to annoy her or even rattle her somewhat “....But how can you expect equal rights? when you’re NOT equal”

"Are you implying we're inferior, Miss Fisher?" Drew replied curiously. He was almost fascinated at how astonishingly ignorant this woman was. "Because I can assure you we're not. We're merely a little different."

“Oh no, I’m not implying that. Not at all. You THINK you’re superior. Maybe not you in particular but that’s the general mutant opinion, and one of these days you’re more then likely to do exactly what you did to the government” Elizabeth nodded once or twice in agreement to herself “It’s only logical”

Drew chuckled lightly. "So that makes it okay to throw bricks at defenseless young women and nearly kill them?"
"And if I were to tell you the individuals who perpetrated those attacks weren't affiliated with Bellefonte or any of her sister schools anymore than you were with the Syrian rebels that bombed Paris, would that affect your world view in anyway?"

“We don’t know exactly what happened that day, all we know for sure is that there was a man that felt threatened by a mutant freak, just like you would react if a wild animal attacked you, it’s the exact same thing”

"A man in a truck... Felt threatened by a five foot tall waitress walking home from work?" Drew wasn't quite sure he was hearing this correctly. "You're well aware that sounds like lunacy, right? All eye witness accounts, from humans by the way, say she was minding her own business when the attack occurred. How does the victim being meta-human justify, in any way, this sort of blatantly violent response?"

Elizabeth sighed to herself , trying to avoid the temptation to roll her eyes. How many times must “It’s simple. It was a small girl with the power to create fire, That’s UNNATURAL. That’s freakish. That’s something that shouldn’t be. So naturally he got intimidated, like seeing a wild animal where it simply shouldn’t be. The reaction would ,be the exact same

Drew paused long enough to pinch his nose. He could tell this was a losing battle by the tone of Elizabeth's ludicrous answer. "If a wolf wandered into town and wasn't bothering anything your first reaction would be to try and kill it?" Drew asked, wondering if he should even be bothering at this point. "My wife is telekinetic. If she goes to the mall to get her hair done should someone try and kill her too?"

“Oh, I actually go out to hunt wolves actually” Elizabeth tone brightening up as if this was a friendly conversation her eyes twitching towards her mantelpiece where sat several pictures of her trip to africa, her standing over proudly dead animals that she just shot….an Elephant a lion. The Zebra that was now her rug,
Such treasured memories…..
“It’s simple really: She should stick to where. She’s. Welcome.” Elizabeth said drawing out those three words

"My wife's family has been an institution and part of the very fabric of this community you now call home. No one has done more for Kalispell, mutants and humans, in the last hundred years than the Bellefontes. It's because of them this city is worth becoming the mayor of." Drew replied. Even though he did feel the anger tighten his chest he didn't allow a trace of it to bleed into his voice. "If she doesn't belong here, enlighten me. Where does she belong?"
Post by Elizabeth Fisher on Feb 13, 2016 10:13:34 GMT -6
“Not any more I’m afraid” She said ever so happily “I’m sure were all very thankful for her family...but now I’m here. To help, you the community at large….and the only one getting in the way in the progress is you and I'm not at liberty to discuss any of this with you. Quite frankly I don't like your tone

Drew didn't really give much of a damn if Elizabeth liked his tone. He'd remained level headed and even keeled the entire conversation. He wasn't about to give Elizabeth the satisfaction of knowing she got under his skin.
"You continually avoid the question, Miss Fisher. Where should we go if we don't belong here? What would you do with us in order to stave of the 'great mutant threat'?"

“I don’t have to say anything to you” Elizabeth said keeping her tone ever so calm “Typical, Mutant aren’t you? You feel obliged that I tell you everything….and you didn’t even say please!” Elizabeth sounds more appalled more than anything else about him not asking please. “You’ve rang me and I’ve tried to speak to you in a calm and considerate manner and I’ve been nothing but harassed

"All the while you claim to be looking out for the greater good, you want to help your community. You talk about change and wanting to do what's right and yet you never give any details as to how you would bring about these sweeping changes to our society."
Drew paused, then smirked to himself before continuing. He may have doubted Elizabeth could ever do so, but his words rang true.
"If you can convince me your plan of action is fitting and fair to all those involved I'll rescind my candidacy and publicly back your campaign personally."

“.....Oh dear, you aren’t listening are you?” Elizabeth sighed in resignation she might have known this would happen, it was typical of his kind. Shutting his ears but yet only too happy to open his mouth. He could explain it. He could pose the most rational argument in the entire world...but they still won’t listen to her. Sad really This might have gone so much better “Oh certainly...I’d be happy to discuss it at any time. Why don’t you pop down to the AMA offices this evening and I’ll be glad to talk it out with you
