The last thing the blonde had ever expected was to see this blast from the past in particular. They'd spent a lot of time together back in Russia before Rox had to leave, and to say that things had ended abruptly was putting things nicely. Now, Elena was hardly one to linger on feelings - it wasn't in her nature. It was one of many things that made her a classified sociopath, but yet, there was something about all of this that she couldn't quite... Pinpoint.
So, when Elena saw the other blonde walking through the park, naturally, that meant she had to step forward and make her presence known. A quick swipe through Rox's mind made it clear that she hadn't yet seen her, which would benefit Elena's approach greatly.
Not that she was known for being subtle.
"So, this is where you're hiding," she said as she walked up to Rox's side to walk beside her, Elena's eyes locked on the path in front of them. There was a coy smile on her lips that didn't quite reach her eyes. Then again, most of Elena's smiles rarely did. She wasn't exactly known for being... Well, anything but what she was. "I'd think you'd pick somewhere far better. This doesn't quite do you justice," the Russian continued.

Roxana didn't have work today, which normally meant that she would get to the school to check up on her family target there. However, they were currently busy hanging out with friends and being a 'sociable person'. Rox could still not get over the fact that she had been told to go off and have some fun or something. It was weird to be ordered by someone younger than her, especially when that younger person was telling her to go off and have fun. Rox tried to not look too much into what had been said then and opted to take a walk through the park.
It might have felt pretty cold to most people but this was nothing like the cold back home in Russia. She already missed home even if she had not been in the States all that long, but she had a job to do. A job that was keeping her mind busy as she walked completely missed the fact that eyes were upon her until it was already too late. The palm of her hands quickly had a layer of crystals coating them as she felt the person walk alongside her and speak. However, this was not just some person.
This was Elena Petrowski, someone who Roxana had a sometimes confusing and sometimes very pleasant relationship with. A ‘relationship’ that ended without anything like a good bye, because Rox had to leave immediately. "Less hiding and more so ordered here." Roxana answered honestly as she relaxed only slightly. She could not help but to have her guard up around Elena, especially with how she had just left and uncertain how Elena 'felt' about it. Roxana would not have come back here if she had a choice in the matter, so Elena was right in regards to Rox picking some place different. "What are you doing here?" Rox asked, walking a few more steps before she would stop to face the other woman.

"Ah," the blonde nodded. She wasn't able to get the smirk off of her face as she walked next to the other blonde. She had to admit that being around Roxana was pleasant. Perhaps because the girl had such a calming and well put together aura and her mind was always collected and tidy. She enjoyed that with people. Yes, Elena put a lot of power in her ability, but even she enjoyed the serenity of a quiet mind.
"You can't expect me not to come to the center of the mutant world, now can you? Where else would I be?" she asked, stopping as the other blonde placed herself in front of her. Elena put her hands on her hips and eyed the other girl with a smirk.
After all, that was the only reason Elena was here. She wanted to join in on the fun. She was attracted to big crowds - despite her power. Places she could blend in and take advantage of her surroundings was... Alluring. "I didn't expect to find you here though. One would expect you'd be way over the hills by now. I'm slightly disappointed you didn't let me know." Elena reached her hand out to caress Roxana's cheek if allowed. "I mean, you seemed rather happy before leaving," she added with a malicious smirk.

A part of Roxana was…happy to see Elena but at the same time she could not help but to feel guarded around the other girl. She always had her guard up at least a little bit no matter what when she was around this woman she had shared a bed with and other locations a few times. It was all very physical but Roxana could not say without a shadow of a doubt that she did not enjoy it. She did in fact enjoy it but she could never fully claim to know how Elena was about it all. The other girl indeed was very straight forward about things, but that smirk also showed that ‘playful’ side to the other women.
The side that as Elena was now putting it, was the reason that she was back here of all places having left years ago. Roxana left years ago as well but she was not here for the same reason Elena was, but that was to be expected. “You would be back home, doing as you please as pure usual.” Roxana responded in a simple way to the question, even if she knew it was one that did not really require an answer. A part of Rox wanted to grab that hand reaching out behind her and pull it behind Elena’s back. That part of her that could not help but to be guarded. Perhaps it was because of how ‘close’ they had become before Rox left without a word that Rox didn’t stop that outstretched hand.
She was not going to claim why she didn’t stop that hand either way, because it was not important and the touch didn’t feel bad or hurt. “I would not be back here if I had a say in the matter.” Roxana responded, leaving it at that and made sure to keep her mind cut off from the topic as well. The last words that left Elena’s words had Roxana’s gaze glancing away for a moment before returning to focus on the women before her. “Yes. One could say that I was in a…happy state up until the point I was told I had to leave.” Roxana admitted. She saw no point in lying, the other girl would pick up on it and while Rox was not one to jump for joy and display a lot of emotions, she could say that she was…happy then.
“I am sorry for leaving…without saying anything to you. You didn’t deserve, regardless if you care not for…sentimental gestures.” Roxana added after a slight moment of hesitation before she would step slightly back away from the touch on her cheek. She did not want to maintain physical contact with Elena for too long, because she could not deny her body was already starting to slowly react like it normally would when the two of them would get together. “Are you all settled in?” Rox quickly followed up with the question.
