Eyes blinking, Violet realized there must've been some sort of mistake. Hands holding, she now had not one, but two drinks in her hand. "Excuse me, I--" She started, voice soft but ignored as the worker who handed her the drinks was already gone. Sighing, Violet turned and moved out of the way as she contemplated what she should do now with two drinks. They were caramel brulée lattes, so Violet wasn't too sure who would actually want one.
I don't know if I'd be able to finish both of them on my own, and I sure don't want to just throw this out. It would be such a waste.
Head turning and gaze searching, Violet tried to pick out someone who might accept a free drink. Hopefully she wouldn't come off as a creepy stranger when she made her offer. Finally, gaze settled and smile grew as Violet found one person and headed over slowly. Feet settling, Violet stopped once she reached them and nodded her head in greeting. "Hi there. I was just wonderin' if you would like a free caramel brulée latte? Y'see, they gave me an extra one, 'n I'm not sure if I would be able'ta finish both myself. I didn't want the drink'ta go'ta waste, so I wanted'ta see if you'd be interested?" She explained, words calm and sincere as her accent colored them.
Drink extended, Violet held it out a little in polite offering. "You don't have'ta if you don't want it." She added, tone kind. "I could ask someone else if you don't want it."

The local found himself again in one of the few places he disliked in town. The local coffee shop. He wasn’t a coffee guy. Yet here he was. Again. He had offered to pick up his boss something a she had requested some sort of fancy coffee that he luckily wrote down the name of. Not to mention she had a list of other orders for some of his fellow co-workers. He didn’t mind. He was though a bit early. So he decided to take a seat and wait a few minutes before ordering and heading into work. He did want to make sure the drinks would be hot when he got them to their respective persons. He sat alone, like he did most of the time now. He didn’t mind. He was seated in their obnoxiously uncomfortable wooden chair that faced the wall. He was able to view the entire establishment. The door would open and close frequently while the random chatter in the background buzzed.
Levi checked his watch. He still had some time to kill. He’d rather sit here than head into work early and get stuck with the task of more monotonous paperwork. He took out his phone and began skimming threw his contacts. There wasn’t many. He had his finger hovering over one name in particular. Alex.
He was contemplating sending him a text when suddenly he heard a voice. He looked up at the woman, his hazel eyes catching her gaze. Something about an extra drink and if he wanted it. She had an accent too. Perhaps she wasn’t from around here. He hadn’t recalled seeing her before. He dismissed the thought and held up a hand. “No thanks. I’m good.” He said simply. He didn’t like coffee or whatever caramel thing it was she was offering. But then he remember why he was here in the first place. Perhaps it would be one less coffee he needed to order. His facial expression lightened as he spoke again, “I’m sorry. Actually yeah I’ll take it. That would be great. Thank you so much.” He said kindly while taking the drink from her hand. Hopefully it wouldn’t be too cold by the time he got to work.

Eyes watching, Violet waited for the man to look up at her from his phone. Violet had seen the man sitting by himself without a drink, so she thought it might be kind to offer. Head nodding, she gave him a kind smile when he refused. "Alright. Sorry for botherin' ya. I'll just ask someone else." She said, voice kind. Body turning, she stopped when he spoke up and changed his mind. Curiosity growing but body again turning, Violet handed him the drink with a soft chuckle.
"It's nothin', sir." She responded, tone sweet. "Although, if ya don't mind me askin', what made you change your mind? Gettin' it for someone else?" She asked, words curious and soft. Hand rising, she took a sip of her drink and smiled at the taste while observing the man before her. She was curious why he would be here if it didn't seem like he was ordering anything.

He placed the cup down on the table in front of him. He was sure one of the many girls at his office would be more than happy to drink that. Why there were so many of them he didn’t know. His hazel eyes looked back at his phone. Why was he having such a hard time with it? Clearly sending a text would be faster and easier than a phone call. Perhaps that was the problem, he deserved a phone call.
Levi’s thoughts were interrupted by the woman who had so kindly given him a drink. She wanted to know why he had changed his mind. Wasn’t that his business? Feeling a bit bad since she did give him a free drink he gave in, but only offered a vague response. “Yeah. I am. My co-workers.” He said, perhaps she had wanted some company. Who knows? Levi simply was there to kill time, and contemplating talking to his brother.

Eyes watching, Violet noticed he seemed a little distant wherever he answered her. She figured he might just be someone who didn't like to talk much. Violet had run into a few of those before, so she didn't want to bother the man ever though he answered her question. Smile widening, Violet nodded and accepted his vague answer, which only further her idea that he wasn't much of a talker.
"I see. That's mighty kind'a you, sir. Sorry if I'm botherin' ya. Was just curious." She explained, voice soft and kind. "I'll leave you be though. Was nice meetin' you, n' I hope your coworker enjoys it." She added, words warm and sincere before she turned to head towards her own table.

Looking up from his phone he let out a soft sigh. He was being unnecessarily rude to a woman who was nothing but nice and friendly to him. It was unlike him. He tucked his phone away in his coat pocket and stood up from his chair. “I’m sorry. You’re not bothering me at all. Please join me.” He said gesturing to the empty chair across from him.
He took a quick glance at his watch. There was still plenty of time before he had to get to work. If she accepted she would be his distraction, if not. He would go back to dealing with his brother. Although he didn’t really need to. He knows that he’s been having a hard time adjusting since SPRITE. Maybe it’d be best to give him the space.
Levi’s hazel eyes glanced back at the woman. “I promise I don’t bite. Where’s your accent from anyhow?”
