Ears caught and head turned as Violet heard someone enter the stables. Recognition dawned and smile bloomed, Violet turned to face the young girl as she came into the stables.
She came after all. She really must want to learn.
Approval grew and head nodded, Violet put away her shovel and addressed her. "Hey there, Zoe. Nice'ta see you again." She said, voice honest and kind. "Follow me. We'll move'ta a more comfortable place." She said, words calm. Feet moved as they headed towards an empty stall Violet had converted into her very own little office. There were two chairs with good cushions, a desk, and a few other things to make the stall surprisingly comfortable.
I'll never be able to thank Ma enough for giving me the seat cushions.
Feet paused and seat taken, Violet smiled kindly at Zoe and motioned for her to do the same in the other chair. "We can start trainin' in a little while. I wanted'ta ask how you've been since I last saw you." She admitted, tone concerned and words genuine. Eyes moved as she observed Zoe and how she looked. Violet hoped the girl had gotten better since the last time they had met.

It felt strange, going down to the stables for a training session. Zoe had been down there before, been a few times, actually. Often she went to get pictures of the horses and so forth. At one point, she and Mr. Spenser had been down there fairly often, riding the horses and all. That had been what had drawn them together. This thought remained at the forefront of Zoe's mind as she approached where she knew Ms. Coustic to be waiting for her.
"Hello," she managed shyly as the older woman greeted her. Zoe waved slightly before reaching down and rubbing her hand nervously along the side of her long denim skirt. She'd made certain to wear clothing that she could work with in the stable, but she'd also wanted to make sure she could get to skin soon enough.
Now she followed Vi over, walking toward the table, sliding into a seat as it was offered. "Oh, I'm doing fine, really. I'm putting the finishing touches on my show, and things are going well. Just, you know," she shrugged, "schoolwork and relationships. Oh, I'm much better than the last time we really got to talk," she had to flush at this, knowing full well that she'd been quite a mess during that last time, to say the least.

Eyes caught the nervous way the girl approached and a smile formed as Violet returned the little wave the girl gave her. Zoe seemed like a very nice, if a bit shy, but Violet was fine with that. Feet moves and seat taken, Violet listened as Zoe explained how she was. Things seemed to be going on well and normally. Smile grew and concern lessened as Zoe said she was much better since they last talked.
"I'm glad. You seem better." She said, voice kind and soft. "I know it might be a little worrisome still, but we can put that that aside today n' work on your powers." She added, tone gentle and a sweet smile. Body shifted and hands clasped, Violet leaned forward to rest her elbows on her knees.
"Now before we begin, I've got'ta ask you a question. The man who helped me asked it too. What's your power feel like to you?" She asked, words calm and kind.
