Someone probably should've mentioned explicitly to Frank not to toss baked goods. It wasn't generally something you had to tell someone, but when that someone in question happened to have this "have as much fun as possible' mindset, well, things like this were fairly inevitable. They did have a rather high amount of muffins, after all, probably courtesy of a few staffers who were way into muffin cooking. Frank had put on a pair of gloves (for food serving) and, for about five minutes or so, had just been handing them out to hungry folks who needed a quick break from the hustle and bustle of move-in week. Grateful folks eagerly took the offered treats and smiled and some even got to talk to Frank for probably longer than they wanted.
Then she'd gotten bored. And that's when she'd started flinging muffins across the room. "You get a muffin!" Toss. "And you get a muffin!" Toss. "Everybody gets a muffin!" Toss again. Frank was, at least, a pretty decent shot, in that her muffins always went toward precisely who they were supposed to. The question was whether or not said person had actually been expecting flying baked goods or not.
So far, the odds of that seemed to be about fifty/fifty.

Callie had decided to take a trip to the first floor. It would be a well deserved break from unpacking and such. Although she was tempted to head outside, maybe to the stables, but she knew if she did that she would be lost to mother earth and God only knows when she'd come back. It was important for her to stay inside and finish the task at hand. But yes, a break was needed first.
As she made her way down the familiar hallways, she'd wave and smile at everyone she passed, whether she knew them or not. It was common courtesy. She wasn't just going to ignore everyone as if they weren't there. It was preposterous. Acknowledgment was common courtesy, at least for her, but she's learned that people up north (those damn Yankees) tend to carry on there day with little to no human interaction as possible. For Callie, that simply wouldn't do.
When she reached the common area there was a few students watching some trashy program on TV. Such a waste of time. Callie made her way over to a vending machine. As her icy blue eyes scanned each of the rows of junk, they stopped when she saw a bag of peanut. "Yummy!" She said as she bobbled her head back and forth in excitement. Just as she was about to grab a dollar from her pocket she heard someone say something about something. When she turned her head to look at what the commotion was her face made contact with a flying muffin.
Her head jerked back slightly from the shock of the impact. As it tumbled down her face she managed to catch it in her hands. "Well looky here." She said as her smile grew wide. This was certainly better than a tiny bag of peanuts.

Frank did notice that she'd beaned yet another person with a muffin. Which kinda sucked but hey, that was what happened when you entered an area where people were tossing muffins. "Gotta watch out there!" Frank said, waving her arms to try and get the girl's attention. "See, when you don't look, that's when there's muffins getting tossed in your face stuff and all and nobody wants that."
Frank wrinkled her nose and shook her head at that, even adding her tongue being stuck out ever so slightly. She then pulled a quick funny face before giggling. Soon enough she was pulling out another muffin, tossing it up and down a few times to catch in her hands. "So, you think you're up for another one? You can totes catch this one, right? Oh, did you have a flavor you wanted? 'cuz I think that one," Frank pointed at the one in Callie's hand, "is bran," and that caused the perky blonde to wrinkle up her nose. After all, no one actually wanted those, which is why she had so very, very many.

Callie smiled at the muffin. She raised it to her nose and took in a small sniff. Yes. This was much better than a tiny bag of peanuts. She looked up when she heard someone speak to her. She saw the girl waving her arms, who was the source of the muffin toss. The girl looked familiar, Callie was sure she had most certainly seen her around before. The only difference was now they were conversing. Callie let out a soft laugh, “It don’t bother me none. I like muffins!” She said as her southern accent followed each word she said. “It could be worse ya know. At least muffins are soft and you can eat ‘em.” She said with a wide grin and a shrug. That was Callie, always making the best of any situation.
Callie’s blue eyes were locked on the muffin lady. She giggled at the funny faces she was making. What a fun person she was! Callie stuck her tongue out back at the girl and scrunched one side of her face, probably looking ridiculous to everyone around them. It didn’t matter. Her head went up and down and followed the muffin that the girl was tossing up in her hand. The thought of another muffin excited Callie. She nodded her head, “Yes please! I’m not that picky, whatcha got?” She asked. She really wasn’t that picky. She’d eat almost anything, except animals that is. She would most certainly never eat an animal.
“Bran isn’t so bad.” She said looking down at the muffin in her hand. Poor bran, everyone always picked on bran. It was almost like when people got upset when they bit into a cookie they thought was chocolate chip but really it was oatmeal raisin. Now that is a true tragedy.

Frank grinned wide at the mention of the muffins and liking them. "Oh yeah, they're totes cool," Frank agreed, bobbing her head. "I've, like, worked with the teachers that are totally obsessed with making them and all, and they're really nice and all. Plus some of these are really good," Frank gestured at the table around her. Her fingers were still twitching, however, and soon she filled a hand with a muffin each, holding them for a bit and doing a little dance as Callie kept looking over the offered selections.
"We got pretty well every kind you'd want," Frank said, nodding and waving her arms to look at them. "Even some weird flavors like, orange and stuff. But no, no, trust me, not bran," she tossed one of the muffins she'd had in hand over her shoulder (which smacked against the back of some guy's head; he started looking around wondering who or what hit him). Frank snatched the muffin that had been in Callie's hand. "I'm pretty sure these are only here for, like, parents to force on their children for some weird reason. Or in case someone needs to poop. And if you need to poop that bad."
Frank ducked down and picked up a double-chocolate chip muffin. "Ta- daaaa!" She gave it a little wiggle before tossing it a few times in the air. She ended up catching it with her mouth, holding out her hands (each still holding a muffin) wide and letting out another "ta-da" through the mouthful of muffin.

Callie smiled at the muffin girl. Teachers making muffins? How lovely. Callie clapped the tips of her fingers together. It never was audible when she did that. “Oooo. Is that who made all of these?!” She said as her eyes went wide looking at the vast selection of muffins before her. Callie’s blue eyes shifted between the muffins and the muffin girl who was now doing a dance with a muffin in each hand. She was tempted to join her. Not to mention she couldn’t help but think of her cam in her back pocket. Maybe after she ate she’d take it out. If the girl was still around that was.
“I ain’t had a muffin in forever!” She said as she began twisting the tips of her hair. Callie smacked her lips and bobbed her head side to side. So many options. “Aw poor bran. I swear they get a bad rap.” Her head turned to look at the guy that the muffin lady had hit with another rogue muffin. She covered her mouth with her hand and let out a tiny giggle. The girl was quick when she snatched the bran muffin out of her hand, Callie didn’t even flinch one bit. “Alright. Ummmm…” She said as she began tapping her pointer finger on her chin. “Imma definitely want a blueburry if ya have it.” There had to be blueberry, those were one of the common ones. Her eyes still scanning the selection, she spoke again. “And the weirdest flavor ya got as well.” She smiled, hoping that there was be something really unique.
Callie’s blue eyes went wide again as the muffin lady put on a show, ending with a muffin being caught in her mouth. “Amazing!” Callie said as she giggled and gave a few claps. “Truly ‘mazing.”

Sunny nodded. "Yep, there's, like, this teacher that is really into it, and she lives with someone who also happens to be super into baking, so they sort of make a lot of these things and all. I usually make cupcakes and stuff like that, but I helped with some of these," Sunny waved at the gathered table of muffins, feeling quite pleased with the gathered collection of them. Except for the bran. She did have to pause to give that one a bad look, even as Callie insisted on pitying it.
"Don't even look at it! It's totally just there for poop fuel!" Sunny insisted, waving her arms again. She turned the wave into a grab for a blueberry muffin almost too smoothly, pulling one up and giving it a light toss before catching it on the palm of her hand. She smiled and held that one out to Callie, while still watching the movement and all.
The muffin thing did happen after Sunny's little muffin show of course. That was worth noticing. So there was only a little more juggling and hand waving and spitting out of a muffin and everything in between there. "Okay, so, like, there's an orange and cinnamon batch around here somewhere..." Sunny said before pointing at the gathered batch, "and there's also one that I think has red hots in it. And there's a green one. I wanna say it's got, like, seaweed and something in it? It still tastes pretty good. Unlike you" that was, of course, the bran, which got another accusatory finger stabbed in its direction.

“Ah well kudos to ya! Though, if you helped, why wouldja make bran?” Callie teased with a smile. It was funny, Callie had never really baked anything before, of cook much for that matter. Her mama did most of that stuff back home, and perhaps she should have been in the kitchen with her learning how to cook and how to clean, but she had always preferred her time outside. A being her daddy’s only little girl he had always back her up anytime her mama asked for her help inside. His argument was there was much more work to be done outside than in the house and he could use all the help he could get. Which was all true. So there really wasn’t much for her mama to argue with.
Thinking of all that she had an idea. “Ya think you could teach me how to make muffins?” She asked, her blue eyes looking at Sunny. It was never too late to learn. Besides, aside from class and homework, she didn’t have much else to do with her time. Regardless if she accepted it or not, Callie knew what he next task would be.
Callie let another laugh escape from her pink lips, as she quickly averted her eyes from the bran muffins Sunny disliked so much. Or poop fuel as she had said. Callie’s blue eyes followed the muffin that Sunny had picked up, and she took it with a smile, glad that there was a blueberry muffin. She hadn’t doubted it for a moment. She instantly took a bite, it was beyond satisfying. “This is delicious” She mumbled between chews.
After swallowing she smiled, “Seaweed?! That sounds ‘mazing.” She was quite pleased with the wide variety that was here. She had never had a seaweed muffin before, and that was surely going to change. Callie let out a laugh and shook her head, the girl wasn’t going to let the bran thing go.
“What’s your favorite? I know which one you don’t like.”

"Obviously I didn't," Sunny replied, rolling her eyes. "I wasn't the only one doing the baking. Plus, like, I was mostly doing the cupcakes and all."
Sunny paused and studied Callie as the question about making muffins came up. She looked up and down, making sure to take in the whole girl. A hand went up to stroke her chin for a few moments (again, this would be after all the muffin tossing and juggling and so forth. Sunny's hands defied physics and reality but there were something of a limit to everything. Sometimes. Mostly)
"They're made with love," Sunny replied, "do you think-- oh yeah, that's, like, totes seaweed. It's kinda neat what they can put into muffins and stuff. I do kinda wonder where they got it, since there's no sea near Montana or something. But I just figure that they teleport it in or something. I got teleported to this island one time. I was really hopped up on Japanese energy drinks at the time though..." so Sunny couldn't say with anything like certainty whether or not that actually happened.
"I can't pick just one!" Sunny said, throwing her arms to the side and waving them. "You gots to eat different ones at different times! Like, orange when you want to have something fruity and blueberry when you want something berryery and chocolate when you want chocolate and bran when you want to poop in a hurry," Sunny pointed to each in turn, before stopping on that last and jabbing an accusatory finger its direction again."

The blonde covered her mouth and let out another giggle. She had assumed that she hadn’t made them, but it was funny to tease. Her head perked up at the mention of cupcakes. “There’s cupcakes too?” She said with a hint of her accent covering each word she spoke. Callie bobbled her head side to side, she was excited, and fully enjoying the blueberry muffin she had just taken another bite out of.
She smiled at the mention of the muffins being made with love. She had always loved that saying. She had felt it to be true, things made with love whether it’d be food or clothes or anything else you can make always turned out slightly better. She thought of the quilt her mama had taken months to make for her. That was something she cherished, it was much better than a store bought one that was for sure. Callie was intrigued by the start of a question, but her interest was cut off by the mention of the ocean. She let out a laugh before taking another bite of her muffin. “That’s true, I ain’t think ‘bout that.” She said as she furrowed her brows almost as if she was in deep thought. She wasn’t, but thinking about it made her realize she had never seen an ocean before. That would need to change. She started thinking about the movies and things she’d seen, but she knew nothing would compare to the real ocean. “You were teleported?!” Her blue eyes wide with fascination. Regardless if it had actually happened or not, the thought of it was captivating. To be able to travel where ever you’d want in the blink of an eye was truly something amazing. Callie waved her hand as to dismiss the fact of the energy drink. “Nah, I reckon’ you were at the island.” She reassured the girl and gave a head nod.
Callie couldn’t help but laugh again. It was true, there was no way she could pick a favorite. Callie had no idea what her favorite would be either. It all depended on her mood and what she was craving at that moment. The blueberry one now however, was definitely hitting the spot. “Mmmm.” She said as her eyes followed Sunny’s fingers. “You’re right, ya can’t just pick one.”
