[Akeem Ten-Amen]

Akeem was still a little frustrated his plan didn't work out the way he had hoped. He never would have thought someone would spend that much money for Evelyn. Cancelling Drew's offer would have been easy but the moment more bid, and even doubled the already ridiculously high amount Drew offered, Akeem knew there was no point in trying. Unlike those other stupidly rich people, his father enjoyed keeping his money close to him. He argued it was to teach his children how to work for their money but Akeem just believed he was cheap. Still, he got the money he needed for his car and he'd rather buy one than waste it all on a date with Evelyn Conner.

The girl could keep arguing he meant nothing to her more than an insect, he knew she wouldn't react the way she did if he didn't get under her skin. And after their little night at the airport's hotel, he was even more certain of this. He cut her some slack, mostly because it was funnier to get to her when she least expected it.

Now seemed like a good moment. He had noticed her already, coming in the cafeteria but he did not bother her just yet. He was eating a few tables from her, with some other guys. He already had little interest for the conversation going on, from what he gathered they just moved from baseball to rap music, but when she appeared, he lost what little attention he had left. It was when one of his friend put a hand on his shoulder to get him back on planet earth that he realised what was going on and excused himself as he grabbed his tray and moved to where she was.

He didn’t ask her if he could sit at her table, he just placed his tray in front of her. “I must admit that I’m curious. How did the auction and your date go?” he asked with a little smirk on his face. He then sat down and turned his big green eyes at her, giving her an innocent gaze as he waited for the answer. “I hope you don’t mind me putting down your name? I thought you might have some fun.” And at that, he flashed her a wide grin. It probably looked innocent too, for someone who didn’t know better.

School had started again and Evelyn had busied herself as much as she possibly could - which naturally meant that taking lunch down in Kalispell was no longer an option. Luckily, the food wasn't nearly as bad in the cafeteria as it was elsewhere, so she supposed at the very least, she had that going for her. Besides, being busy meant that she had very little time to think of everything else. Like for example the odd and almost a little twisted turn her life had taken recently. She'd gone from being perfectly anonymous to... Well, whatever she could call this.

Sitting down at the table with her tray, Evelyn pulled up her phone and scrolled through the various emails. She didn't notice Akeem's presence until she heard the sound of the tray being placed upon the table in front of her. Peeking up and over the phone display, her demeanor immediately stiffened. Ever since their little trip to the hotel, she'd tried her best to avoid him. Simply because she'd gotten so drunk she couldn't remember most of the night they'd spent together. Although the boy claimed the two of them hadn't done anything, she wouldn't have put it past him to lie.

Placing the phone down next to her tray, Eve pursed her lips, her body still stiff as she regarded the boy with something similar to the way you looked at an insect. "As to be expected," she replied dryly. After all, it was hardly a secret that the young woman hardly was someone's first pick to take out on a date. She wasn't particularly nice to be around - thank heavens. The last bit though, had Evelyn scrunching her nose. "And suddenly it becomes so much clearer," she sighed. Of course he'd been the one to sign her up.

"I'm only glad you didn't win the auction," she added with a dismissive shrug to her shoulders. If he honestly thought that innocent display he put on worked, he had to try much harder. Then again, she wouldn't have believed he was innocent even if he somehow managed to prove it.

The calm demeanor of Evelyn Conner changed instantly when she laid eyes on him. Maybe he should stop the torture. After all, she kept sending poisonous barbs at him every occasion she had. But he could not help himself. It was not love or anything like that. It was simpler than that. He just loved to watch this haughty and collected young woman lose her composure the moment she laid eyes on him. She kept pretending he had no effect on her but this was proof of the opposite and he liked it too much to let go just yet. One day, when it wouldn’t give him the same satisfaction it had now, he would leave her alone.

At least the girl never tried to pretend he raped her or anything. Then again, she would have to admit she had been drunk way over her head and he supposed she loved her reputation more than destroying him. He could have lied to her. After all, sleeping with Evelyn was not something he didn’t think doing. But he was not an idiot either. It was true that he did not always know where the boundaries of morality lied and it would have been so easy to just do it, but it would also bring too much trouble. He’d stay out of that kind of trouble.

He nodded, as if he indeed understood what should be expected of this. Poor whoever bought her. It was not worth the amount of money they spent. “You at least put on something nice and sexy? Or kissed them? For that price, you have to give them a little something,” he said even though he already guessed the answer to it. The predatory smile proved it. He was making fun of her and didn’t even try to hide it as he made himself comfortable.

The smile grew wider, turned into a grin as she understood it was he who put her for the auction. She had to remind him he lost though. He tried not to care about it as he mimicked her shrug. “Ah yes. Had it been only your brother, I would have succeeded no doubt but the others... I preferred to buy myself a car rather than a date with you, I hope you’re not insulted,” he answered. There was a bit of an insult in there but nothing they had not gone through in the past. “Too bad you did not take this opportunity to loosen up. It had been really interesting when you did last time. A whole new Evelyn.”

When the question about her attire was posed, Evelyn managed to press forth a genuine smirk. "Oh, Mr. Ten-Amen," she said, her head shaking slowly as she clicked her tongue against the back of her teeth. "It's a little early for you to imagine me in such attire, is it not?" She pulled back slightly, her back straightening. She didn't relax though, but she managed to regain some of her composure - which, all things considered, was rather good. Yes, Akeem seemed to get under her skin far more often than what she would have liked, but surely, at some point, it had to stop catching her by surprise, no?

Mimicking Akeem's smile, Evelyn cocked an eyebrow at him. "Hell hath no fury like the scorned idiot," she said between her teeth, keeping the fixated smile on her lips. ""Of course I'm not. I'm sure we both have much better things we'd rather do than spend time together, which brings me to my next question..." she began, flipping her hair over her shoulder as her other hand went to lightly touch upon her phone. "Why are you-" she stopped herself at his next words, smile faltering as her lips pressed tightly together.

That was a night she'd much rather forget had happened altogether. Of course he wouldn't let that happen. That was far too much to ask for.

"What is it that you want, Akeem?" she asked flatly, her eyes narrowing as she watched him. Why did he bother? Hadn't he had his fun already? Wasn't there any women out there, much more willing that he could work his moves on?

“No, I don’t think so,” Aeem simply replied to Evelyn, his tone calm and collected as he did so. The way she seemed unable to say his name was almost amusing, even if it started to get old as well. The only reason why it did not bother him too much so far was because he was persuaded she did it because he had an effect on her and she wanted to distance herself. “Then again, I wouldn’t have been the one enjoying it and could only have the satisfaction now to know there might still be a girl under all this professionalism. But I suppose this is one thing in which you mean to disappoint.”

He had to admit, he loved their little banter. Until she referred to him as an idiot, a comment he had to do his much not to show how it wounded on his ego, the one part of him you really should not aim despite it also being the largest one and so easier to hit. She claimed not being offended, and if he assumed she would not be, at least not enough for that comment to really anger her more than that, he was a little disappointed by her reaction. Somehow, he had wished the female ego would take its place and be offended that a car could be more important than a girl. But this was Evelyn Conner he was talking to, not some ordinary girl.

He was pretty sure what her question would be. It was so easy, he expected it since he came to sit here. But what he said to her first got her to stop mid-sentence. Her expression fell flat and it was clear she was not laughing anymore. He could try and jest but he would be treading through a path trapped with land mines. One wrong move and he could kiss himself goodbye.

“Still bothered about that night are you? Are you still going to suspect more happened than you can remember?” Akeem had assured her nothing happened. Sure, he slept on the bed, but she had been so wasted at the time, and already snoring, that he decided to ignore her recommendation for him to sleep on the uncomfortable carpet and joined her. But that was it. He leaned towards her, as would a conspirator sharing a secret with a peer. “Seriously, don’t you think it’s time you admit you’re more on edge with me than the others? It would make your life so much easier to do so,” he told her, even putting an emphasis on the word easier. He then pulled back, the secret being shared, and resumed eating his meal. “It’s true,” he assured her as he nibbled on his food, even nodding to show how true that was.

Blowing her newly gotten bangs from her face in sheer frustration, Evelyn rolled her eyes. "I don't even know why I expected more from you," she said pointedly. It wasn't as if Akeem ever did anything she expected. Maybe that was what annoyed her the most. He acted so differently from everyone else. At least most people treated her with some semblance of respect. Akeem did not. "So, this is what it's all about? You're pestering me to see if there's something that's still human underneath all this cold bitchiness? Well, you should stop while you still can, Mr. Ten-Amen. It's not going to happen."

"Of course not," she snorted. Although, it wasn't entirely true. It did bother her quite a lot. More so because she didn't remember. Even if something had happened and she'd remembered it, it would have bothered her less than not remembering a single thing. She stared at him again, lips pressed tightly together. Oh, how badly she wanted to simply drag him out of the room and somewhere where the two of them could talk about this privately, and she could tell him just where to stick his head.

Instead, the brunette rose to her feet without as much as a word. She was not dignifying this by discussing it where anyone could hear them. She was not going to get those kind of rumors thrown on her. She then reached for her glass of water and tipped the glass before allowing the liquid to spill forward towards the boy. "How's that for being on edge?" she asked coolly and took a step back. She continued to straighten her uniform shirt, patting down her bangs and looking around, giving anyone who dared to stare in their direction the dead eye before, without bothering to take her tray with her, turned on her heel.

She didn't even know where this sudden anger came from. She never acted out. Not like this.

Akeem loved to push Evelyn. He was not even aware it could be considered extremely rude from his part. If she was not fighting so much against him, he wouldn’t find it nearly as interesting. He likely would have left her alone had it been the case. But she kept fighting, not even against him but against herself and he liked that too much to give it up. He didn't even seem to be aware it was a dangerous game to play. She could lash out at any moment and not only would he not have stolen it, but it might hurt a lot. Right now however, he couldn’t think of that, too interested as he was to keep poking at her despite the comebacks he received. “Because that is a side of you you’ll never let me see of because it’s not even there?” he asked after she once again told him to stop trying to know her. “You got my motivations wrong. I’m not interested in knowing what you are deep inside, I just want to see if you can admit that perfect veneer of yours has cracks.” He might as well ask her to profess her secret yet undying love to gummy bears.

She insisted having no care in the world for what happened the last time they met but everything about her said otherwise, from the way she stiffened at the memory of it to the tone of her voice as she pretended not to care. “Right,” he simply replied. He didn't need to say more as his tone said enough. He did not believe her. She was angry at him. If looks could kill, he would have died about a dozen times by now. But she did not have a killing gaze, only a normal one that showed just how much she hated him right now. He should have known he pushed it too far. Only he did not think of that, being too smug for her to take it any further.

He did not expect what followed. He startled as the liquid spilled over on him. People turned their head to look at the scene. No one saw it coming either and some remained silent after it happened, waiting to see what would happen next. Akeem still couldn’t believe it when he looked up and listened to her giving him her last snarky comeback. Time stopped for a moment but as soon as she left, it continued its usual course and what happened started to sink in his brain. He looked back where she left. He was mad now and wanted for her to pay this humiliation. And he knew what he should do. He cleaned himself with the napkin he had in his tray, pretending it was nothing but he made sure to know where she went to follow her. “Nice little show you gave everyone there,” he told her as he reached her. She had not seen just how much of a predator he could be but it might show in his gaze now. The cat was done playing with the mouse, he would get her good this time. And what better way than to send some pheromones in her direction? No trust or love ones for her, that would be too kind. The lust ones would be perfect, so he could watch her squirm and beg for him to forgive her that little outburst.

The more he talked and the more he tried, the more Evelyn could feel the anger bubble up within her usual steely demeanor. She didn't know why she even bothered anymore. She didn't know why she didn't just ignore him and avoid him like the plague. Maybe it was pride. Maybe she didn't want to give him that kind of power. Maybe she wanted to break him piece by piece until there was nothing left. Oh, was it tempting too. Right now, she wanted nothing more than to wipe that smug look off of his face. And oh, how she hated that he managed to crawl under her skin so easily and venture to places no one had before.

"I could care less what your motivations are," she sneered at him. "In fact, I could care less about you." She tossed her hair over her shoulder, brown eyes glaring at the boy as she felt the anger bubble up within. She could feel her composure and self control ebb away as the seconds passed.

And boy did it feel good to throw that water on him.

However, what Evelyn hadn't expected was for Akeem to follow her. She had hoped that this would be the end of it. That he'd simply walk away with his tail between his legs. She really couldn't have been more mistaken. Instead, he followed suit, matching her step by step. And that simply pissed her off more. "Show? I would hardly call that a show," she said, her voice steely. Though, there was a small change - something she couldn't quite define. Something that stopped her from walking away and instead, Evelyn turned around, her eyes nearly blazing at the boy.

Holding her hand out, index finger pointed straight at him, Evelyn stepped closer until the tip of her index finger pressed against his chest. Oh, was she going to rip him a new one. She was going to tell him exactly, in full detail, just how she was going to torture him and make his life a living hell. Instead, the rush of emotions didn't bring out the reaction she'd thought it would. Far from it, in fact. Before she could even think twice about it, she found her hands cupping the boy's face, lips pressing against his as she felt her body press up against his.

And the worst part of it all was that she didn't want to pull away.

Evelyn certainly wished she would care less about him. He didn’t think she liked him or anything that foolish. But he knew he somehow managed to crawl under her skin. If she could just admit that, he would have been perfectly fine having whatever relationship this feeling allowed them to have. Even if that meant mutual ignorance. But Evelyn would never admit to that, she preferred to think nobody could ever get to her. And so he kept going at her until she couldn’t take it anymore. And threw water at him.

This reaction was not to please him. The humiliation that came with it, that is, was not to his taste. In private, he could have played with it and keep pushing her from there, but here, she just made a fool of himself. And nobody made a fool of him. If she thought he wouldn’t make her pay, she had another thing coming. He didn’t want to look like the guy who couldn’t get a hint but he also couldn’t leave it at that. His ego refused. Besides, his vengeance would not be public. It could and that would be all she deserved but he knew her worst enemy here was herself. He didn’t need for the whole school to see, just that she remembered he got to her and she would beat herself enough for it. If everyone knew, she might just get allies. He couldn’t have that.

As he expected, Evelyn’s sharp tongue was soon silenced as she came towards him. He wondered why she was pointing at him like that. Maybe she was still trying to fight it. He was curious to see what lust would make her do. As long as she was into guys, he had a chance for her to be into him. He stayed there, acting more confident than he really was about his pheromones and their power. He did tense when she brought her hand up, fearing to get slapped or something. But she held his face and got closer to him. She was rather short, he leaned towards her as she kissed him. This prevented him from grinning as much as he wanted to. Not that it mattered for kissing her was great enough on its own.

“I knew it,” he said once he pulled back. “Now, I can give you more of that, and other things. But you’ll have to be honest with me first. You can do that?” he told her softly, an arm wrapped around her waist to keep her near. He’ll make that one dance to whatever tune he sang.

It was as if in that moment, all coherent thoughts vanished from her mind and left her brain on standby, leaving every ounce of control to her body. It was such a strange feeling, and hadn't her mind been disconnected, she might have realized how incredibly weird and suspicious thing that was. But no, that wasn't what went through her mind at all. Instead, like any other teenager with hormones before her, the only thing Evelyn could focus on was the feel of Akeem's lips against her, and his toned body beating against her much slender one.

At least until the kiss broke and Akeem spoke. With her hands still cupping his face, she blinked out of confusion. It took her a few moments to realize what she'd just done, and even then, she didn't move. She simply stared at him, blank-faced as he talked, his words not really reaching her. At least, not to begin with.

"What?" she asked groggily, her brows knitting together. It was as if someone had pulled her mind under water. Everything was moving in slow motion. She couldn't quite connect with her mind. She felt almost as if she was floating in the middle of space - or rather, her mind was. As if her body and mind was two different entities, that couldn't reach each other. But that wasn't the worst part. Oh no. The worst part was the strange surge of emotions running through her entire body. Emotions she had never felt before, that felt both thrilling and alien all at once.

Akeem didn’t really bother to stop and think of how this could be called. It was a fact that she had little control over anything right now. She functioned based solely on the lust he gave her. And, of course, since the pheromones came from him, she had to feel it about him and no one else right now. No need to say, it pleased him greatly to see this haughty young woman finally giving in. Even if it might have been done using methods that were not so acceptable.

He enjoyed kissing her, having her in his arms like he could actually own her. Not that he really wanted to own her, or at least not for more than a few minutes, hours at most. Of course, his pheromones would not last that long and there was no guarantee that she would just accept what happened. He should not waste too much time if he wanted her. His brain was already going through everything he could do right now, deciding what option would be the best both at this instant and in the future, since he was not certain she would leave it at that. She could damage him real bad so he had to be careful. She was all sweet and docile right now but she might turn against him later on.

The way she stared at him, he’d almost wished she’d look more enamored than that. She looked pretty much the same. But the tone she used and how she kept close to him compensated for it. “Do I scare you? Do I make yourself feel... uneasy?” he asked her, keeping her close to him as he wrapped his arms around her waist. It was rather amusing to him how he could play her right now. He brushed his lips against her skin just because he enjoyed the reaction he’d get from her. This was exactly how he wanted her. He could enjoy her also with a bit more spine but she needed to bend once first, see that he could totally control her if he wanted to. She could damage him but he could also damage her.

The feel of his lips against her caused a shiver to run down her spine. She didn't know where this change had come from, not was she able to focus on anything save for what was happening right here, right in front of her. The feeling of his lips against hers and the arms around her waist was strangely intoxicating. Although, the question had her furrowing her brows somewhat. Forcing herself to lift her gaze from his lips to his eyes, Evelyn opened her mouth to speak, but no sound came out.

She closed her lips again, thinking about the question before answering. Although, thinking in itself was rather difficult at this point. "You don't scare me," she replied, her tone low. "And I'm not sure if uneasy is the right word." Again, she furrowed her brows, as if slightly confused. How did he make her feel? She wasn't sure. She didn't know how to explain it. "I don't know how I'd describe it."

Again, her eyes fell to his lips and the same surge of emotions ran through her body as it had before. Lifting her hand, she traced the line of his neck to the back of it, brushing against the tips of his hair. What a strange thing to be doing... What a strange sensation. She'd never been this close to anyone before. And yet, she didn't seem to be capable of analyzing it. Or rather, she didn't care enough to.

Evelyn assured him she was not afraid of him. Was it really true though or just something she was saying now because she could not resist him? The problem with his power was that when he wanted something genuine out of someone, it was always impossible to tell if he really got it. He most likely did not. That just made him hate people more. He thought he hid it well though.

“Have you ever felt this before?” he asked her, letting his lips brush her skin. He’d keep her on edge as much as he could. “You want me to help you with that?” Hearing her would just be a major win over her. Yet he knew there was a limit how far he could go. He didn’t want her to find a way of accusing him of rape or anything. But he couldn’t just let her say she wanted him. He had to do something more, if only because he was really tempted to do it. Having her tell him she wanted it, now that would just be his way of winning and justifying everything that would follow. How far could he go? He was not sure yet. He supposed it would depend on how things will go.

“Perhaps we should find a better place to talk of this, no?” That would mean losing time but he might still be able to douse her with a few more pheromones by the time they got there.

She had no clue what was going through her mind at that exact point in time. In fact, if asked later, she'd likely struggle to come up with anything, because the Conner twin was fairly certain that her head was empty. That there was nothing but this heavy mist floating around in her mind, somehow dulling this clearly insane situation. In no way, manner or fashion had she ever expected to find herself in this situation.

Although, Eve could feel the heavy slug of the mist sparse. Not enough for her to think clearly, but enough for her to make thoughts that weren't overly aloof. She became more aware of her surroundings and actions, but still, the dulled state she was in still kept her from thinking there was anything weird about it. An involuntary shiver ran over her skin as she felt his lips brush against her skin and she blinked, staring blankly at him for a moment. "No," she replied. It was the truth. She hadn't felt this way before. "Help me with what?" she asked, her brows furrowing.

His suggestion did sound nice right about now. Although, the more the fog let its grips off of her brain, the more she started to realize that perhaps, just perhaps, that wasn't such a good idea after all. Blinking confusedly, the brown haired girl placed the palms of her hands against Akeem's chest, her brows furrowing further as she tried gripping onto any coherent thought, but they seemed to slip between her fingers as soon as she tried. "Yeah," she said finally. "I think that would be smart." Why would it be smart? That didn't sound like something she'd ever agree to.

Somewhere in his mind, Akeem knew that some might consider what he was doing wrong. He was forcing someone. He found that word too aggressive though. Yes, she had no real control of herself, yes she was doing his bidding, but she didn’t seem to suffer. And there was still a limit just how far he could go. If she really, deeply hated him, without any other form of emotion, getting her to sleep with him, or even kiss him, would have been hard if not impossible. He could have her desire him, that was true but he knew there was a limit how much his power could make one do. If Evelyn was purring like a kitten in his arms, it was because somewhere inside of her she wanted it.

He liked her answer. It made him smirk. “Help you understand, of course. Explore it too, maybe. If that is what you want,” he answered. He’d rather have her say yes and have it come from her, even though he greatly helped her with that answer. Somehow he felt more protected with that, in case she came back to her usual self and chose to unleash hell on him. Plus there was a feeling of power that was pretty exhilarating from having her beg for him. He really wanted her to. He was just not sure how far yet. Or, to be precise, he knew but was not sure how far he’d be able to go.

If she touched him, she’d get in even more contact with the pheromones, right? Science was not exactly his strong suit but he believed so. At the very least, it was pleasant to see she could not stop touching him when she normally could barely dare to look at him. “Alright,” he replied as she admitted it would be smart to go elsewhere. He grabbed one of her hand, kissed the fingers and, still holding it, walked with her towards the south wing. How long did he have? He forgot to check the time. He promised himself to use his power some more by the time he reached the dorms. Only way to make sure. If she got free before, he could still douse her some more there and go in whatever room was closer. And preferably empty.
