She really should've been studying, but she had had enough for one day. Classes had started back up and Riley had gone dutifully. Then she had studied for a while, and now she just wanted a break. Because.... Oh just come on! Summer had just ended and it wasn't like any of the classes were really giving out assignments yet. Sure, that shouldn't have been any excuse, but Riley just wanted to relax for as long as she could. So naturally, she picked up her guitar and headed out to find somewhere quiet to play.
...Which turned out to be the auditorium actually. No one was in it, so Riley just decided 'why not?' and headed inside. Wasn't like she was doing anything bad anyways. She just wanted to take a load off and play some tunes. Normally she would sing as well as play, since her ability would easily let her do so without a problem. Well, except getting stuck in a voice. Riley thought as she took a few practice strums. Maybe that's the real reason she didn't feel like singing this time. It had already happened once and ended.... interestingly.
But Riley didn't dwell on that now. Instead, she loaded up the vocal part to the song she was thinking of, putting that on her laptop while she played the guitar part. It was nice, and Riley felt herself relax as she leaned back against the wall she was propped up against on the edge of the stage. She smiled softly as she played, completely consumed by the music. Which was why she didn't hear someone come in until the song ended. Then she just about jolted in surprise.
"Whoa!" She yelped, heart hammering. Holy shit! Someone else sneaked up on me! She thought as she calmed herself. "Sorry! I just... didn't expect anyone else to be in here."
