Charity took a deep breath and readjusted the stuff on the table in front of her. Was this weird? This felt weird. Well, not the readjusting of stuff: Charity pretty well did that or something like that just about every day of her life, give or take a few. No, the weird part was that she'd organized to meet with a student here in the cafeteria.
As it wasn't a proper meal time, there weren't that many students milling about. To be sure, there were still some: the cafeteria was pretty well never empty. Between nocturnal students and powers that required almost constant feeding, there was generally always someone about to be scrounging for food or who knows what.
So why was Charity there? Well, according to files, Miss Graves was not a fan of her powers. In addition to being relatively young, which always overwhelmed people, Miss Graves had one of those powers that could most definitely fall into the "terrifying" category. So now she was assigned to Charity, and the young woman felt like this would be the best bet.
So she adjusted the tray in front of her. There were a few bottles of pills and whatnot there. There were always drugs whenever a mutant was involved: it just depended on how much you wanted to worry about it. There were also a pamphlet or two. Plus, Charity had put a bottle of water and a bottle of Coke there, just in case. She had a vitamin water of her own, and she sipped it. "Right, this should be great," she said, nodding and then looking around. Surely the girl would be able to figure out that the woman was her trainer, right? Still, best if Charity looked for her, signaled her to come in like some kind of air traffic controller or something.
