A dripping wet Charity walked awkwardly toward the little staff tent that had been set up for all the "volunteers" for the festival. She'd actually lost track of how many times she'd been dunked in the tank this last one. Apparently there were a few students who still remembered her little camping trip and had fairly large chips on their shoulders. They'd thrown their share of bullseyes, not to mention insults and such. Charity had responded by singing, but that just meant...
... she burped and winced at the queasy feeling she got from it. Yeah, that definitely wasn't fun, like, at all. She waddled a bit forward, entering the tent.
"Towel, towel, can someone please get me a towel!?" she practically begged as she entered, looking around desperately. Surely someone around here would be ready with one, right? Charity thought she saw a pile of them sitting there. She pointed toward them and took a few steps, though she couldn't help but notice someone who looked vaguely familiar standing close to them. "Towel?" she tried, looking toward the other woman and trying not to look too pathetic.
Beth had spent most of the day hiding out in one of the tents, only coming out whenever she'd been called upon for whatever reason. As much as she loved people, she didn't like larger crowds of them. It made her feel slightly exhausted, and really, there was little around here any of her skills would work for. So she saw no reason for her to be out there and milling about.
However, as an almost frantic looking woman entered the tent, looking like a drowned cat, Beth couldn't help but to raise her eyebrows in surprise. At first, she simply stood there, watching in something similar to awe. Then, the woman seemed to turn towards her and Beth quickly blinked before nodding.
Pulling at one of the towels nearby, she stepped forward and held it out, a kind smile forming on her lips. "Is it that rough out there?" she asked softly, trying her best to keep her smile warm and gentle as opposed to amused.

Charity didn't immediately see who was offering the towel, just the offering. She took it almost greedily, letting out a thanks and immediately beginning to towel herself off. It really shouldn't be this bad: yeah, Montana was chilly and all, but Charity had spent quite a bit of her life, both adult and adolescent, there. Still, it was more just the whole thing.
"Well," she said, pulling the towel away from her face to speak clearly, "I was sort of responsible for sending a whole bunch of the, like, troubled kids on a camping trip. I think they're still holding grudges," she brought the towel around to towel herself more, taking a few deep breaths and letting them out in a slightly disgruntled manner. "It doesn't help that I've, like, got rivalries with students now. It was so much easier teaching younger ones," she let out another sigh and then moved the towel around.
And now she could actually see the volunteer. "Oh, Beth, right?" she said, pointing. "We've kinda bumped into each other before," at least at the anti-DL meeting, if nothing else, though Charity wasn't sure if the other woman would really recognize her.
