Who the fuck thought it was a smart thing to put someone in a dorm room with Lucy? Like, seriously. Didn't they know by now that she was better left alone? Of course, Lucy didn't actually care, but she couldn't help but feeling bad for whoever the girl was who'd she'd gotten roomed with - and she might have been a little pissed about not being with Livvie anymore, but that was a minor annoyance, and like most annoyances, Lucy could ignore it.
Now. Now Lucy had to meet her new roommate. She'd been avoiding her dorm as much as she possibly could, but her luck had to run out some time. And some time seemed to happen a lot sooner than what Lucy would have cared for it to.
Opening the door to the common area, blue eyes immediately narrowed as they zoomed in on a boyish looking girl with short, blonde hair and an incredibly annoying face. It was one of those kinds of faces you felt the sudden urge to just punch... Thankfully, Lucy resisted the urge. She issued a low sigh as she closed the door behind her and started forward.
She didn't want to talk to this new roommate. No, she'd much rather go to her room, get high and forget all about this shitty, shitty day with its shitty, shitty people. Sadly, the girl seemed to have noticed Lucy enter, and the blue eyed power mimic pursed her lips. "If it wasn't for the fact that this dorm has no boys allowed, I would have mistaken you for being a dude." Charming as ever, Miss. James.

The way Cara looked at it, it wasn’t really her fault that she got kicked out of her previous dorm. Well, it wasn’t exactly kicked out, more like asked to move. Apparently her previous roommate did not take too kindly to being called a stuck-up pig with an effing big ego. Her ex-roomie claimed it had been said unprovoked, but Cara knew that she knew that it was taken WAY out of context and that the only reason Cara had said what she said was because said girl had pissed her off. Cara was usually stoic when it came to other people, so to manage to get such an emotion out of her called for some applause. Regardless of the outcome of the situation, Cara had to credit the bitch with the amount of annoyance she could produce. Still, since Cara was the obvious troublemaker, the staff had taken the other girl’s side and given Cara two options: 1) switch dorms or 2) move out. Seeing as she didn’t know anyone in Kalispel, let alone Montana, she had to comply and move to a different dorm. An all-girls dorm. Hurray….
At the moment Cara had yet to meet any of her fellow roommates. She wasn’t even sure if there lived anyone in the other rooms. She had moved in earlier that day, and there had not been a single noise from any of the other rooms. If Cara didn’t know any better she’d say she was alone. Regardless, Cara didn’t really care who she shared a dorm with, as long as they left her alone. She didn’t want another drama incident with a girl who didn’t know how to keep her mouth shut.
Being a light packer, Cara threw the last of the boxes on the floor and perused her domain. Some posters on the walls, her trusted computer with a large speaker, bed, clothes all over bed and partially in the closet, and various things scattered across shelves and parts of the floor. Her room already looked lived in. Like it was starting to eat itself. She ruffled her hair as she looked for the bag of groceries. Of course she should’ve started with those, but she was not so concerned with melted butter or cheese. She found the bag under some clothes and walked out the kitchenette in the common room area. She figured there would be space for some of her food in the fridge and so she went over to it placed her items in the fridge. At least by the amount of food that was in the fridge, Cara could deduct that there was at least someone living in the same dorm as her. But the question remained, who?
Cara had opened a can of Arnold Palmer when a girl came in. Cara looked at her, stoic in her expression as always. They evaluated each other for a brief moment before the other girl spoke. Great, another smart mouth, Cara thought to herself, rolling her eyes at the other girls clear attempt at being clever. “How perceptive,” she replied sarcastically. She wasn’t at all offended. She was all too familiar with how the world viewed girls and femininity, and she didn’t give a fuck about it. “Sooo,” she started, ignoring the obvious tension that might’ve occurred from her lack of offend. Although she did not take any bullshit, Cara was all for trying to create some common or neutral ground. She didn't really want to move out again. “Just pointing out the obvious here, but you must be the roommate. I’m Cara,” she said with a slight smile and a nod of the head. She took a sip of her drink and looked at the other girl.

Snorting at the comment, Lucy rolled her eyes; oh boy, was this one of those smart mouths who needed to come with some kind of snarky comeback whenever someone spoke? It was rather ironic then, that she'd chosen to point out Lucy's flawed logic. Now, had Lucy actually cared, she might have offered something in return. Sadly, she didn't and simply shrugged the comment off. It didn't matter.
Then, the girl seemed to attempt at idle chit chat, which had Lucy quirking her brow. Turning, she crossed her arms over her chest and offered the girl a silent stare. After a moment, she issued a low sigh. "Obviously," she replied, head tilting. No, she'd simply walked into a random room and walked about as if she owned the place.
Really?
Couldn't she have gotten one of those socially awkward roommates that would leave her alone instead of this - whatever this was. Now, Lucy preferred being on her own. She preferred being alone and far away from everyone. She didn't do friends. She didn't do people - save for a few, but she wasn't about to get into that here - or ever.
"Now, with the pleasantries out of the way..." she said as she turned around, away from the girl.

Cara wasn’t quite sure what to make of the girl, but it seemed like she wanted to be left alone. Cara was not daft, she knew when she was not wanted, and she was not one to awkwardly press on the situation, but at least she had manners. Cara could understand the need to be alone and not give a fuck, but at least she had the decency to be aware of the people around her. She rolled her eyes slightly at the curt reply of the other girl, whom she still did not know the name of, and wondered briefly if the girl was just playing rude or simply did not understand that one usually introduced themselves for their new roommates, despite what one might feel.
The tall blonde leaned back against the counter as she took another sip of the drink. She still needed to find a place to throw out all the cardboard boxes she’d used to move in. She didn’t really want to interact that much with the other girl, she seemed like a real rude smart mouth, and Cara honestly just wanted to make this one last. She didn’t want any trouble, for once. Usually, she didn’t really care that much, but the thought of going back home to her parents, or move somewhere else, well, that was not really a pleasant one. She didn’t want to go back to the talking and the looks and the guilt and the anger. Cara looked at the girl as the turned to leave. “Do you know where the trash containers are?” she asked. At least she wasn’t being a bitch.
Issuing a low sigh, Lucy turned towards the girl. Clearly, this wasn't going to end nearly as quickly as she'd hoped. Though, she couldn't really blame the girl. From what she'd gathered, especially from the question, the girl was new - whether that meant new to her powers or just new to Bellefonte, didn't really matter. "Yeah," she said finally, jerking her thumb over her shoulder, pointing at the door leading out into the hallway. "I'll show you." She didn't want to, but hey, anything to get the girl off her back, right?
And if she got this out of the way now, she made sure she wouldn't be pestered about it later on, and having thrash lying around didn't sound very appealing, even to Lucy.
Turning on her heel, she started towards the door, fully expecting the girl to follow. She didn't stop until she'd reached the door though and finally turned around to look at the girl. Rocking back on her heels, she pursed her lips. "Do you need any help carrying your shit, or do you have it covered?" Anything to make this end quicker, right? At least, that was what she was going to tell herself. She certainly didn't do this out of the goodness of her heart or anything.
