Normally Karsen would be holed up in his room typing away on his computer or building something that he had no use for at the moment. However given all the money he had managed to save up, he had bought a car. It helped with the whole not using his powers and getting outside. If helped that cars were things he knew up and down, inside and out without using his powers. He was under his car with his tools scattered everywhere. He would be lying if he said he didn't miss his dad's garage. He just didn't see why his father couldn't open one closer to the school. Hell anywhere in America would be nice.
He had given it a paint job and rebuilt the engine, there were other parts lined up near the tires. he was wondering when he would be told eh had to go somewhere else with his stuff but that rarely happened to him. To be honest, he was wondering if she should just move his workshop somewhere on campus like the courtyard or the music room..did the school actually need a music room?
He slid out from under the car, he had just finished fixing the whole that the oil was leaking from. Grabbing his hand towel he wiped hands off and looked up. "Oh, uhm Hi...you look vaguely familiar." He said standing up so he could talk to the girl standing by his car. Maybe he was in her way "Uh, am I in your way?"

Evelyn knew plenty of things about her business with her brother, and the people her brother hired was one of them. She had known for a while know that it was probably a good thing for her to announce herself to said people, and one of the guys her brother had talked about was Karsen Ford, some kind of wonderkid with technology. Now, Evelyn didn't distrust her brother's decision, but that didn't mean she didn't want to see what all the fuss was about for herself.
She waited for the kid to finish whatever it was that he was doing under the car - more than likely fixing or restoring the car. She kept her eyes on the boy's feet while her arms were crossed over her chest. She knew better than to disturb someone clearly busy with something, and she'd rather not have the boy hit his head in surprise. However, it didn't take him long to resurface.
"I sure hope I am," she commented, her lips pursing. "And no, not at all," she replied. After all, he wasn't. She'd come here, so if anyone was in anyone's way, it was surely her being in his. "Excuse me for not offering my hand," she added, nodding towards his hands as her eyes returned to his. "I'm told you know my brother. I'm Evelyn Conner. It's a pleasure finally meeting you, Mr. Ford."

Karsen nodded when she said he wasn't in her way. Now that he knew she should be familiar he was trying to place where he had seen her before. It didn't occur to him that she could be Drew's twin..he had always assumed there were two Drews wandering around and they just happened to never be in the same place. That was mostly his fault, he didn't get out much and he didn't really care that much about Drew's personal life. 'I don't blame you, I was fixing an oil leak" He said as he continued to wipe his hands off. They probably weren't going to get clean until he was done with his car, there was no reason to keep running to the bathroom if he was gonna get them dirty again.
"Oh, that's why you're familiar. Sorry, I just kind of assumed his twin was brother...and didn't think to ask. Mostly because his personal life isn't any of my business" He said rubbing the back of his neck. He felt kind of bad not knowing her by look and thinking she was a boy. Though he was secretly pleased Drew didn't have an evilier identical twin running around...although he would save his judgment on that evil part when it came to the girl.
"It's nice to meet you too Ms. Conner, although could you call me Karsen? Mr. Ford sounds all formal...and I'm standing here in a old t-shirt and car oil on my hands" He was wondering why she was there but he would save that question for later...actually no he would ask her now. "Did you need help with your computer or something, Not to be rude or anything"

She offered the boy a short nod; At least they were on the same page it seemed. Now, Evelyn had no problems with getting her hands dirty. Oil was, however, not the kind of dirty she'd prefer. She had people for that, after all, and it seemed as if the boy understood, so she saw no problem putting the case at rest there.
"As you can see, Mr. Ford, I'm hardly no man." She quirked her eyebrow at that, as if challenging the boy to crack a joke about her gender. He would be wise not doing such things. She was much more cold and calculating than her brother, after all, and a whole lot more distant when it came to human emotions. "And that's quite correct; our personal business is none of your concern," she added, offering the boy something akin to a stiff smile.
Pausing slightly, Evelyn wasn't sure how much she enjoyed calling someone who wasn't Alistair or Drew by their first name, but she supposed she could let this one slip, simply because the boy had done nothing to draw her ire. Yet. "Very well." She hesitated slightly before continuing, "Karsen it is." She looked over the car he was working on before her gaze shifted back to him. "No," she shook her head. "Simply wanted to meet you in person." After all, she'd been meaning to see what all the fuss was about for a while now.

Karsen resisted the urge to comment sarcastically, he honestly didn't care whether she was a boy or a girl. She was Drew's sister so she had his respect, he didn't know if she was establishing authority or whatever it was. He didn't pretend to understand people, to be honest he liked computers and machines because he didn't have studying their physiological factors and body language. He had absolutely no idea, why she was there and he really didn't care. Part of him wanted to know if she just check up on the people her brother interacted with for kicks or to just have fun on her power trip.
"I'm not sure if you're questioning my ability to differentiate between genders, which I can or you simply said that for some people reading thing you and your brother have come up with. Either way yes you are woman, and I have no interest in anything besides my business arrangement with your brother and by default you im assuming by your emphasis on the word 'our'" It wasn't a complete lie, while he did admire and look up to Drew he didn't want to get involved with the guy outside of business. He didn't care for rumors or personal attachment and he also didn't understand why she was there. He guessed it was one of those weird let me see what this person is about things. He had no people skills when it came to this type of thing so he did was he normally did when Drew was around he started working on his car again. Disconnecting the broken parts underneath the hood and setting them on a empty towel on the ground.
"Ah okay then, sorry my people skill aren't that good so I should apologize now." He rubbed the back of his neck. He felt a little bad for being so...him. He did try and act less like a computer around Drew and Tim and Amanda. He just didn't know if she was actually a person that not being all computer like would work around.

"I never said that you did," she said through pursed lips. She was slightly amused by the sudden defensive demeanor the boy took. She had to tell her brother about this little meeting. "You were the one who assumed that Drew had a brother. I simply stated the facts." She offered him a quick flash of a smirk before waving her hand absentmindedly, as if gesturing that she was done with the topic. She saw no further need of clarifying herself. Especially not with someone who grew so easily agitated. And he'd better stay out of their business. There was nothing more annoying than someone who thought themselves above social norms, such as digging their nose where it did not belong.
"I can see that," she pointed out with a shrug to her shoulders. No, it was quite obvious that the boy wasn't particularly adept when it came to socializing. She supposed she couldn't really blame the boy, though. It seemed to be rather common with these kids. So many socially awkward people around the school.
It made her wonder where they'd all gotten their social skills from. It was almost laughable, though, Evelyn also had to remind herself that she hadn't been raised like most other children. It was easy to judge when you'd grown up to something else entirely.

Karsen took a deep breath, he was probably over reacting because he hadn't expected anyone to walk up to him. He normally had to prepare himself for social interactions and he just figured it would be him and his car. He was pretty sure Tim was busy with something and anybody else he actually knew had lives of their own. There was no need to read into the meeting with Drew's sister as he was going to keep calling her in his head. At the same time he didn't want offend her in anyway and she seemed to be the type of person that just waited for someone to mess up. At any rate, he needed to figure out how this meeting was going to work, because it was hard for him to ignore the needy car beside him.
Karsen just nodded and used his towel thing to open the door to his car. 'If you're gonna be here for awhile...the inside of the car is clean if you wanna sit down." Of course, karsen wouldn't do anything to Damage the inside of his car. After a few cleaning sessions the interior of the car was just as good as when it was first made. The best thing about getting the car from the owner of the auto shop. He got to keep a lot of the original design intact, it was like a collectors dream. Karsen was the type of guy to have a bunch of old cars just for the sake of nostalgia.
He hadn't stopped to actually look and see if she moved to sit in the car before he popped the hood and started to look around. Even though it was bright outside, he still had a little light shone on the parts. It never helped to be too careful, He was just going to replace the hoses and air filters. He had already checked the battery back at the auto shop, he tried to keep the dangerous stuff away from the school. Though there was that fire...with the robots that one time...but there was also a fire extinguisher. "I'm still not exactly sure why, you wanted to meet me in person...Unless there was something you needed help with. Karsen was pretty sure he was the tech guy...there was no tech...so she shouldn't be there right?

"I had no plans of that," she replied. After all, she wasn't planning on staying. She simply wanted to check up on the boy, and now she had. She wasn't thoroughly impressed, but she trusted her brother's judgement regardless. She supposed this was exactly why he was the one in charge of actually talking to people. She either found them useless or annoying - or both for that matter.
She remained standing where she was, head turning towards the boy as he moved to pop up the hood. "Call it curiosity if you'd like." She left it at that though. She had no reason to share every motive she had. No, she hadn't come here to ask any favors. There was nothing she needed help with. She simply wanted to check out the people who worked under her and her brother.
For once, Eve had nothing save for that up her sleeve. "I'll leave you to your... Business," she added then as she took a few steps away, already fishing her phone out of her pocket and directing her attention towards it. The boy was clearly busy and he didn't exactly make for interesting conversation.
