Hunter becomes the hunted

It had been a week that Amanda had been loosely watching this specific females agenda, none of it was ever on a schedule but she could at least say that she visited the art room fairly frequently. So that's where she would start her observations. Why you might ask would Amanda want to follow this girl? If you were to ask Amanda, she'd probably respond with something along the lines of how she is pretty much her idol and how cool she seems.

The date? Midweek so the school ground would be semi busy, busy enough to hopefully stay concealed enough to not be noticed, but just empty enough to keep with this legend of a lady. Amanda sits down in a class room next to the art room, she picks a spot in her room where she can monitor the door. It takes just a few moments for the white haired girl to enter the art room. Unfortunately, if Rox was paying attention to the classroom Amanda was in, she might catch Amanda staring and if she were to look, Amanda would avert her eyes elsewhere.

After some time... Amanda had lost track Rox finally left the art room, and after a few moments later Amanda gathered her stuff together and made for the door, and began heading in the direction Rox had gone, trying to move quickly to make sure she didn't lose her but slow enough to make sure that she wouldn't be obvious to any normal person...

Roxana had been well aware that someone had been watching her, but she was not really sure why. She didn't really catch on the first day, figuring the girl was just curious or lost and was just following the first person she saw around. The girl was not even all that good at it at times, since one could practically feel her eyes on them. Still, she was not awful at it and it was around the second day that Rox was pretty sure that this girl really was following her. Thankfully it was not everywhere and she tended to lose the girl without any effort on her part.

Still it was weird to come back to the school and have someone following her, someone that was clearly not a part of her organization. So what did this girl want? Rox just knew today she was going to confront the girl about it, not liking even being followed for a short amount of time or being observed, she was the one that did that sort of thing, and that was because it was part of her current job. So when she went to art at around her usual time, she was not surprised to catch a glimpse of the girl in the room across the art room, but she did nothing about it at the moment.

Instead she focused on why she was at the art room, and that was to work on her project and of course get her free time to enjoy art. Then when she was done she headed out and walked at her usual no rush pace, since she was not in any rush at the moment. When she was certain the girl was following her, she changed up her pace only slightly, enough to get her around a corner and out of the girl's view for a moment. There she waited for the girl to turn that very corner where she would be standing there waiting.

"Why are you following me?" Roxana asked, her tone still the usual no real emotion tone. She stood up tall as usual; a small crystal dagger already formed in one of her hands, purely out of habit but had no plan on harming the girl. Yet. It was a very much blunt and straight to the point, but that was the kind of person Roxana Strix was.

"So far so good..." Amanda breathes out as she walks casually down the hallway. She had kept fairly decent distance away and was pretty sure Rox wasn't aware of her pressence. Hence why she jumped and let out a quiet 'eep' as she turned the corner and ran smack into the other girl and was instantly questioned.

It took a few seconds for Amanda to regain her breathing as de just stared at the girl, she was so much better than she thought... But really Amanda wasn't all that amazing at stalking people but oh well... With a deep breath Amanda chuckles awkwardly, "Uhm well..." she says, in an attempt to rack her brain for excuses. Soon she signs though, she couldn't lie to Rox, not because she doesn't want to but mostly because the girl would probably see right through it.

"Well actually! I just wanted to see what...uh, my idol..." she says nervously, "does in her day, and I was too afraid to approach you and well, I decided to watch you from afar!"

The girl jumped and let out one of those human 'eeps' the tended to leave people whenever they were startled. Clearly she must have thought that Roxana had not been aware of someone following her and staring at her from afar. Then again, that was a good thing because Roxana didn't really like people knowing just how deep her training went. Some obviously had an idea because one was just not naturally good at keeping SPECTRE at bay and commanding those remaining at the school on what to do.

Roxana waited for the girl to say something, anything in her own defense or a possible play off on not actual having been following Roxana. She would have seen through that lie easy enough so it was a good thing that the girl told the truth. The girl being Amanda Stephans, Roxana only really knowing her because she tended to at least have down all the names and faces of the people that went to or taught at BA. A lot of names, but nothing new for her. When the girl spoke, Roxana had a hard time even seeing those words as the truth.

Was this some kind of joke that someone had put the girl up to? To go tall to the normally unapproachable Roxana that everyone viewed as some robot. "Your idol? I am no super star of any sort, sorry to disappoint you." Roxana said as started to make the crystal dagger into a small crystal ball that she started to roll between her pointer finger and thumb. "I don't like being followed or watched. Especially not from afar. If you wanted something you could have come up to me and told me what it was." Roxana said, her voice was still the same, not really showing any anger at all towards the other girl.

Amanda kind of fidgeted there on the spot, she was actually fairly nervous about talking to Rox but most likely for different reasons than everyone else. She was nervous because believe it or not, Amanda did sort of look up to this girl, she was kind of a badass. The brunette shrugs at her response to not being a superstar, which was very debatable, "You're very.. unique and that's really cool..." she paused for a moment, thinking about telling her she was a badass as well but, the words never seemed to want to come out so she just left it.

"Sorry about following you but.." she says anxiously, "I don't really do fantastic with the whole talking to people, especially those that I'd look up to..." Amanda bites her lip nervously but she looks at Roxana in the eyes, being polite but also for other reasons... She was sure Roxana had probably already been through what she's doing now...

Amanda pondered in her thoughts as she looked at Rox, "Oh uhm, speaking of questions... Do you maybe possibly by chance need a like, assistant or anything? Like for work or really anything..?" It was kinda a long shot but that didn't really matter, anything to help keep the conversation going.

Roxana was looking right at the girl so she noticed every fidget, movement, lip bite, and where the other girl's eyes were. She was not outright staring at her, of course, but she was keeping an eye on her and trying to figure her out. Rox was aware that there were some people that looked up to her for the things that she did but none of them had ever approached her. She doubted that she had any kind of fan club even, so it was just odd to have someone come up to her.

Despite what Amanda might have thought, this was actually a first for Roxana. Not many people even came up to her or even talked to her despite all she had done and how long she had been going to BA. Not that she minded, it was just a new experience and she could not help but to be a little on edge about it. "Thank you." Roxana responded simply, actually happy to receive praise about herself but she did not change how she was speaking or reacting towards the girl. The girl was then apologizing and then pointing out basically why she could not help herself. Roxana honestly was flattered, but still concerned since this was still a first for her.

"Well I'm flattered that you view me in such a light, but I can assure you that you don't need to worry when it comes to talking to me. Perhaps trying to take a deep breath." Roxana said as she looked over the girl. She noticed the eye contact, getting a good look at the color of the other girl's eyes, which could just as easily see the color of Rox's eyes. Perhaps the girl liked eyes or she was just being respectful. Then there was a question that just added to the whole new experience of the situation.

"I was going to head to the office to carry some paper work to the security office if you wanted to help with that." Roxana said as she gestured in the direction that she was headed. Normally she would drag Demi around for such things but the younger girl had class and from Roxana heard Demi needed to focus on studying if she wanted to get good grades on her finals. Roxana was already turning to head to the main office, figuring the girl would follow her. "Are you interested in working security?" Roxana asked, figuring there girl had to have more reason then just wanting to help out her 'idol'.

Amanda nods but like she would have guessed, the brunette kind of assumed she had some followers of sorts, she had just yet to find those people. She just kind of nodded to Rox's idea of just taking a deep breath, and while it was a great attempt, she had been told that many times before and she still had issues with being very chatty, and the fact that she looked up to Roxana just made it all that harder for the girl.

Amanda did her absolute best not to show actually how exciting when Rox actually had something for her to do, she quickly nodded, "I'd be happy to help with that, thank you for letting me help you out." As expected, when Rox began to move, Amanda followed in suit, not daring to fall back in pace, whatever it was. When Amanda was asked if she was interested in Security, she tilted her head for a bit before looking over to Rox, "Uhm, yes and no, I'm not really sure what I want to do in the upcoming years... so I guess that's the no part, but at the same time I have also thought about going into the security team, so there's the yes part."

Amanda would just follow along until they got to the office, answering almost any questions Rox had, unless they were about her past... In the meantime though, she made sure to always keep an eye on Rox as well as the people they walked by, it was something that kept her busy and she just did out of habit. She enjoyed keeping tabs on the things happening around her, well, she'd say enjoyed, I'd say she's just always paranoid of others.

It would have certainty been interesting to hear or find out about any kind of fan club, but again Roxana didn't see that as very possible. People who had fan clubs tended to be really attractive boys that were on a team and all the ladies wanted them, but they would not give any of them the time of day. Then again, the whole fan club idea seemed to be something that TV had come up with since Roxana had never actually found a case of a fan club being for someone that people went to school with. Normally it was of someone who was actually significantly famous for some reason or another.

"No problem. I could do it myself, but if you want to help I don't see the harm in it." Roxana said simply. She could easily carry all of the papers to where she needed to, but having help didn't hurt. She was pretty sure the information was not all that sensitive and she would be right there with the girl at any rate. The other girl would not be able to outrun her so there was no concern on her trying to steal or anything like that. Just as she expected, the girl was following her, keeping up instead of lurking behind like she had been doing previously. Rox didn't say anything at first after the other girl explained about how she was not too sure about what she wanted to do yet.

Roxana could understand that, in terms of the girl still having time to make a choice in what she wanted to do with her life. At least she had a choice, where Rox did not. Then again, not having a choice certainty allowed her to not being in the situation that Amanda was in when it came to not knowing what she wanted to do. "There is no real rush in the end; you still have time to decide what you want to do. Not forever, but some time. However; if you are truly interested in joining the security team, I would like to help you out. I'm one of the people you would end up having to show what you could do anyways, so could be beneficial." Roxana spoke as they walked along.

She and Vera were put in charge of the little self-school security team after all, so it would make sense for her to help the girl out if she really wanted to do it. They got to the office in no time and after talking to a person at the front desk, two stacks of papers were put in front of them. Roxana grabbed one of them and gestured to Amanda to grab the other. Then turned around and already started to walk off where they needed to go. She was fine with the silence, never was one to say too much anyways. Still...she figured this girl would have liked a conversation, many people seemed to like that sort of thing. "What is your ability, if you don't mind me asking?" Roxana asked. She already knew the answer, but it was for the sake of conversation.

Amanda didn't really have any intentions on peeping into what the papers were about, or for that matter stealing them. The girl she was with was of much more of interest to her than some stacks of papers with some info on them.. That said, even if she didn't really care for the papers, she still looked over the top page from the corner of her eyes. She nodded when Rox said she didn't really have to rush, she still had another year to go and a lot could happen in a year.

"Really? You'd be interested in helping me?" She asked in response to the girls offer, "I'd very much appreciate that if you could." she said with a nod. This was a rare chance and she didn't see any fault with taking up the offer, if she wanted to go into security, she had a better shot at it, and if for some reason she decided not to last minute, she was sure she'd have learned a few things by then to make it more than worth her while.

Amanda wouldn't have minded if Rox had remained silent, she had no problems with it, mostly due to the fact that most of her conversations fell quiet, really with her not really sure how to proceed the conversation any further. "I am able to manipulate the earth." she said simply. Some people had really complicated powers, and some just made them seem complicated by describing it too much. She felt as though her powers were relatively simple though, so it was a quick comment as she thought about asking Rox about hers, despite already knowing what she could do and how amazing it was.

But, being polite and trying to keep the conversation going, she asked, "So, what exactly do you guys on the security team do?"

Roxana nodded her head yes, to the question of having interest in helping the other girl. She would not have suggested the idea if she had no interest in doing it. She had a lot of things to do, for school, her job for the school, and her actual job. Taking on more work was not always in her best interest, but she did it for the sake of something being beneficial or in her interest. It was both in her interest and would be beneficial for her to help Amanda out if the girl was serious about being on the Security Squad.

"I can and I look forward to be able to assist you in what ways I can and that you need to get to your goal. As long as you are serious about it." Roxana said. She had not time to waste on someone who was just going to treat it as a game and not actually have an interest in at least one of the aspects of the job. In the end, there was no harm in giving it a try and if things worked out then she could have another person 'under her wing' and if not at least a student would be aware of what they were capable of.

They walked in silence for a moment, until Roxana asked a question, getting a response back that she expected. "That can be a pretty powerful ability with the right about of skill and application to it." Roxana said. Yes, this girl would at least be interesting to put with Demi if the girl did want to work under Roxana. A crystal manipulator and two earth manipulators would certainly be a team’s great for dishing out damage and defense. She figured the girl already knew of her power so she didn't go into it. Instead she thought for a moment on how to answer the girls question about the squad.

"Well, much like actual security, our main goal is the protection of the school. The squad differs in that it’s made up of students and is basically the assisting until to the schools actual security staff." Roxana explained, that seemed like the simplest way to put it. Most of the people on the squad choose to be on it or were forced onto because they had an ability that would be beneficial and said person needed a bit of a heavy hand when it came to their discipline. It was great way to get better at your power and it also allowed you to help out your fellow students.

"I would greatly appreciate it if you could/would assist me. And yes, I'm very serious about that." Amanda said with a nod. She was very serious about having thought about attempting to be a part of the team previously and she was very thrilled with Roxana's offer. Plus, this was definitely a way to help move her along in confirming what she wanted to do.

Amanda smiled at the comment, which she was going to happily take as a compliment. She had been working pretty hard and was very well skilled... At least in defense. She wasn't a huge fan of attacking, mostly because she never really had any reason to... And a few other reasons she wished to forget. Regardless, she could use a little work in that department.

With her being good in defense as well, she was very good at concealing her powers, using pretty much the minimum amount of effort as possible, which helped sustain her over long periods of time. She wasn't really sure who else was on the security squad but she was excited to learn. "I see, well thank you, I appreciate the offer and I would gladly like to accept." The brunette wasn't exactly sure where that put her now but she could confirm that she was excited.

"Then it's settled. I will help you out when you are free and will be the one that you will do the test with to see if you are cut out for the squad." Roxana said with a slight nod. She didn't think there would be a problem overall. The girl had a power that would be useful on the squad, and so long as a person could use their power by their choice then they pretty much could get a spot. Even if they needed improvement in an area, they still could make the squad so long as they met certain requirements. Requirements that Rox figured the other girl would meet without any real difficulty.

They could have even done the test today if the girl was confident enough to give it a go. Roxana didn't say anything about it, leaving it to the girl to figure out or bring it up. With that decided, Roxana was once again out of topics to talk about. Well...it was not that she didn't have anything to talk about, she just didn't really have anything to say. That was another reason why she did not get others at times, but most of them seemed normal. Those who could not handle her not being that social tended to keep their distance.

There were a rare few that stuck around and worked at getting her to talk, which was basically what was needed. If you wanted to get to know someone, you had to put some work into it. Rox just personally didn't have the drive to care to get to know others more when she felt she knew enough about them. "Understood. Let me know when you would like to take the test and in general whenever you would like to train together." Roxana informed her. She was already pulling out her cellphone; the one for her school life, and looked to the other girl. Figuring that would be enough for the girl to catch on to provide her number to Rox.

'So many questions...' Amanda thought to herself, which ones were the important ones though? No point in wasting Roxana's time with questions that she could find herself fairly easily. She figured the test would be enough, "What's the rest over? Or, what is the test?" There could be a number of things the test was, maybe it was a showing of skills, maybe a written test she had to possibly take.

She wasn't sure but she was curious, maybe she could take it now? Unless maybe they had a one time thing going on... It would probably take a little thinking about. Amanda pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the present and what was happening around her, either Rox said something and she had totally missed it, or neither of them were talking.. She looked over to see if Rox was looking at her, people often looked at someone when they asked them something..

She took a deep relieving breath when Rox was looking ahead. Just then, Rox began to speak, she nodded and then replied, "I'm free quite frequently, so unless you have a busy schedule, I'd be happy to whenever." Then Rox pulled out her phone, and at first Amanda thought she was calling someone, but then she looked to her and she began to speak up, "(uhm, insert Amanda's number here >.<)." She said with a nod, reading it back to herself to make sure she had it correct since she recently had acquired a new phone.

Roxana would not have minded questions, so long as they were not about sensitive topics that she could not talk about. She doubted the girl would ask any of those questions, so there was nothing to worry about there. Regular questions however gave her something to talk about and thus not having her just looking at some on in silence. “The test is basically showing what you can do with your power. I ask you to do something based on the report your trainer provides on what you can do with your power.” Roxana explained.

That really was all there was to the test. Rox just offered training with the girl because even after the test they were expected to train, practically had to. It had been done a while ago in a group sessions, but Rox was fine with doing them at any time. They were always getting in new students and now that she was thinking about it, it didn’t hurt to talk to Vera about it. Perhaps they could get another tryout going or at the very least update the list of those student who were apart of the squad. As for looking at someone when she talked to them, Rox tended to do that, unless she was doing something.

In this case, she was walking and holding papers, so she just mainly gave a glance at someone to let them know that she was still talking to them but her main focus was on what she was doing. “I do have a pretty busy schedule, but we should be able to work a time out together with no problems.” Roxana said honestly. She was busy with the things she had to do for the school, her school job, and her organization after all. Still, she was pretty good at making time for other things when she wanted or needed to. Roxana put the number in her phone when the girl provided it to her, then sent a text to the girl so that she had her number as well.

"Alrighty, so, potentially that could be preformed... as soon as we talk to a trainer?" Maybe she could get the test out of the way as soon as possible... After all, the test was based off of what she was capable of, right? Couldn't be that bad if it was judged off her skill level, or at least that's how she understood it. She never really had a personal trainer.. just the standard one(s) the school assigns kids so they can train. Amanda mostly did stuff on her own though, practicing thoroughly alone out in the woods or going to the gym every so often.

Amanda smiled as she looked ahead, today had been a fairly successful day and hopefully things would continue on that path. As far as the training went though, she didn't mind training alone, with Rox or in a larger group. The brunette didn't mind mostly because she believed that when someone went to practice, as long as that individual put in the effort to work hard to get better, it would come, regardless of what kind of group they were in. To her, it was all about taking another step further each session. 

The girl gives a nod of approval to Rox as she takes in what she said, "Sounds good to me then, I'll make a schedule for the rest of school and we can go over when works best for you. But when summer comes around, I don't know what happens to your work schedule but mine will most certainly free up quite a bit, so if you ever need anything- even if it's not security squad related, don't be shy." she said with a smile. She looked down at her phone and gave a nod to Rox after sending a quick message back.
