Franck knew his friends might not all approve of Jasper. He heard them enough saying he deserved the best boyfriend in the world and he had that but he didn’t. Because it was apparently impossible to find in the area. Still, he dreaded to hear them go ‘as long as you’re happy’ since it sounded so much like they wouldn’t have picked him for the French boy. Erika told him that and she really seemed to mean it but he could also tell she was slightly worried for him. Kind of ironic since he was worried for her. He wished she would just learn to take things slowly for a change. But that didn’t seem to be in her personality to do so.
He did smile however when she approved that the experience was more important than how long it lasted. Of course she would, considering how long her relationships lasted but that was beside the point. “That’s what I intend to do. I know he’s not the perfect boyfriend but God do I know the flaws I have when I’m in a relationship. And it’s thanks to him that I’m coming out of my shell more so there’s really more good in this than you’d first think,” he said, his smile actually growing wider as he was done. Yeah, he liked that and, really, that was all that mattered.
He laughed as she wanted to play matchmaker with Casper. “It doesn’t matter. But you better warn that person, because they love to push people’s buttons and see their reaction. I mean, they really love it,” he warned her. He had no problem with the idea of a double date, no matter how awkward it was likely to turn, but he felt like he had to warn her first. A friend doesn’t let you find that out on your own, right?
He startled a bit, ready to object that she didn’t have to drive him home but the girl chose to cut short to any protest from his part by saying she was not taking no for an answer. So he smiled, resigned. “Thanks. I know it’s a silly fear but you can’t help those, no?”
