"Just wait out here. I'll be quick." Casper assured his brother as he wanted him to wait outside the bathroom for him. Jasper didn't see why he could not just go in the bathroom with his brother. he knew all there was on his brother's body and it was not like he had not seen it all before. Casper was being particularly shady at the moment, which was why Jasper was giving him a look. "What are you up to?" Jasper asked, leaning in a little closer to his brother. Casper swatted at his brother before quickly dashing into the single bathroom sand locking the door behind him.
"I'll find out what you are up to!" Jasper yelled out as he banged on the door a little bit. He still was a good brother and waited for him in any case. He leaned back, trying to see if he could hear what was going n in the bathroom. What was his brother up to that he didn't want his brother knowing? Was he peeing? Pooping? Was he getting rid of some tension that he could not have waited for the privacy of his room to take care of? Scandalous. The door was a bit too thick; sadly, so Jasper was not hearing anything.
He did however spot someone very familiar. Someone’s that he had a fun time teasing when they were having some fun in a hot tub together. Jasper was currently dating Frack now, but they were in an open relationship so he was allowed to have his fun. "Hey pretty boy. You look like you were looking for me. Wanting another kiss?" Jasper asked Artemis as he saw the boy walking closer in his direction.

To say Artemis was fuming was perhaps the understatement of the century. He had always been naturally defensive, especially of those he cared for. When he was younger this trait had still been present but to a lesser extent; A fact which he beat himself up for time and again... If he'd been a stronger person as a child, he could have protected Lucy from the onslaught of pressure their mother pressed on her, defended her from the cruel hand life had dealt her. Granted the choices were her own, but he could have stepped in sooner, should have fought to protect her. He was the older twin, the so called "dominant" one who was branded with the stigma of being the protector of the other; And he'd failed, terribly. As Artemis had grown, he'd become steadily more confident, more fiery in terms of defending others; Confident enough to actually confront a dealer who'd dealt to his sister. Granted that hadn't ended in his favour, but Artemis had learnt little from that experience... Especially when it came to Lucy.
Artemis had stormed his way around the upper deck, asking student and staff alike if they'd seen a certain unfavourable character, someone who'd been seen swanning around his twin back at the Academy. He'd only just caught wind of the rumor, but it was enough to rile him up and put him on the defence. Artemis felt he could hold his own, he was certain, and he didn't care if the guy wanted to mess with him; but he was most certainly not letting the jumped up, no manners little asshole "pretty boy" go around messing with his sister. He paused after walked out onto the deck, his eyes scanning the area; his eyeline fell upon a familier figure. At once the embarrassment he felt in their last encounter flared up slightly, but at this point there were far more important factors to deal with. With a furrowed brow and a determined expression Artemis strode his way purposefully towards the guy, ignoring his comment. "We need to talk!" He snapped, pointing his finger accusingly at Jasper, putting his hands on his hips as he stood inches from him, his eyes narrowed in a look which could only be described as fierce. "Mess with me all you like, but don't you dare go near my sister again."

Jasper was pretty sure that he saw blush on the other boy's face, but he could have just been assuming it would be there. After all, the other boy had been pretty 'upset' with how Jasper had treated him the last time they had dealing with one another. Oh, Jasper was just imaging the confusion that probably was still going through the boy at having felt Jasper's body and lips. He could not help but to smirk even more just thinking about it.
Casper meanwhile was still busy in the bathroom but Jasper had no plans on leaving his brother. Even as Artemis demanded that they needed to talk. "What? A love confession?" Jasper asked, teasing. He was already taken so could not take on another boyfriend. If Artemis wanted to fool around, that was fine by Jasper. He just had to play nice it make it clear that he wanted Jasper. The whole hands on the hips things were cute, just like a child who was trying to show attitude. Words then about it being okay to mess with the boy but not his sister. Who was his sister?
"Sorry, you are going to have to give me a name. I mess with a lot of people." Jasper said. If he actually took the time to think about it he might have figured it out. Yet, he didn't care to work it out himself. The boy was here in front of him so he could tell him that would make things simple and easy. Jasper was thinking a little bit on who could be the boy's sister and if she was older or younger then him. Someone was coming to mind but he could not really get a clear image of their face or name.

Did this guy mess with so many other people he didn't even remember bothering his sister?! Hopefully that would make it easier to get him to back off, if his sister wasn't a special case to Jasper; But on the other hand Artemis wouldn't be surprised if he continued to go after her in whatever way he wanted to just rile Artemis up even further. Being this close to the other guy after the hot tub incident was warming his cheeks, the embarrassment and nerves however were being pushed down as far as he could push them; he wasn't going to let this guy get under his skin and unnerve him, not when he had his sister to defend. "Love confession?! Well, isn't someone modest!" He responded sharply with a pout of his lips, his glare remaining fierce and steadfast. "And you really don't know? Do you go around messing with so many people you don't even remember?!" He fell silent a moment, waiting for perhaps the guy to recall hanging around Lucy; Surely seeing his face this close, and with the mirrored intense blue eyes Artemis and Lucy shared Jasper would remember? Apparently not.
"Lucy. James," He spoke lowly, folding his arms. "I know you've been spending time with her. My sister needs good people, not... Not..." He trailed off a moment, breaking his glare with Jasper as he looked to the side. "... People who are going to mess her around. Got it?" He snapped his harsh stare back to the other boy. "Are we on the same page, pretty boy?"

Jasper messed with a lot of people, so did his brother. They shared with one another about who each other messed with but it was still a lot of names. Sometimes they didn’t even get the person’s name until a second meeting. That was just how things happened with the brother’s from time to time because of their desire to have fun, learn, and experience. It was very true that being told to not mess with someone would just make Jasper want to bother them all the more. If Artemis was actually intimidating then perhaps he would back off whomever; but he was not.
There was most certainly blushing going on there. Blushing and now Artemis yelling at him about the whole love confession comment and being modest or whatever. Clearly the boy was feeling something with how upset he was getting when Jasper was just teasing him. Jasper was smiling all the same and stopped listening to whatever the boy was saying after a certain point. He was trying to recall who he was talking about and thinking who his brother had been hanging out with too. Was it? No, could not be. She was so cold, but then again his brother was interested in those that made him have something of a challenge.
Artemis confirmed what Jasper had just started to think when he gave the name. So that girl was his sister? He could see it in the eyes and a little in the face. Such, blue eyes. Words then about how he knew about Jasper hanging out with Lucy. Clearly he didn’t know that he had a twin, or else he would have known that Jasper had not really hung around Lucy, she upset him too easily. Still, that didn’t mean Jasper was not going to have a little fun with it. “You think you can keep me from her? If she wants me I’m going to go around her. I’m going to give her everything she wants. The things that I want and plan on doing to her; oh how red you would be if I even whispered them in your ear.” Jasper said, a devious smirk across his lips.

Artemis had hoped that he had been intimating to a certain degree, that Jasper would see the passion in his eyes, the desire to keep Lucy safe from those that may damage her and would back off; He should have known that wouldn't be the case. He'd spent one evening in Jasper's company, and from that short time with him Artemis should have known exactly what the boy was like, that he wouldn't just leave Lucy alone because he demanded it, no matter what intimidation Artemis could muster; Which to most, wasn't much, as much as he liked to think otherwise; He also still had no idea that the boy had a twin or that it was said twin who had been messing with his sister and not the one he was confronting.
Artemis's eyes widened at Jasper's words, blinking at the guy as he went on in a vulgar, disgusting choice of words about his sister and that he planned to do some rather unsavoury things with her. He'd heard similar things before, from boys back at his old school who would make cruel comments regarding Lucy's reputation. As Jasper went on the memories of those previous encounters flooded back, and he felt his fists clench, biting his bottom lip as a surge of anger flooded through him. Artemis was not a naturally violent person, but the flare of fury and upset that this boy's comments were bringing were more painful then then any teasing regarding himself. How DARE he speak this way, even if it was all mouth?! To speak about anyone like this, in such a derogatory manner... It was disgusting. Disgusting. Artemis could feel the heat in his palms, and his face, the barbs in his hands already threatening to pierce through his skin; He however closed his eyes, and took a long, deep breath, trying to fight back the desire to snap. The last thing he wanted was to start a fight where he'd likely end up the loser; He wasn't exactly a strongman. "Y-You. Are. Disgusting," He spoke lowly. "... I'll give y-you one last chance to do the decent thing. Just leave her alone, okay? There's p-plenty of other people to mess around with. Just leave Lucy alone."

Jasper didn't think he said anything particularly bad. He didn't even say what he actually had in mind, just hinted like he had something in mind. In actuality he had nothing in mind, since he was pretty sure that Lucy didn't want anything to do with him. He doubted that she wanted anything to do with his brother but that was Casper's choice to keep bothering her to satisfy his curiosity. Plus Jasper and both Casper had heard about her sleeping with some guy that used to go to the school. So it was not like Lucy was a virgin or not doing it with someone that was not them. That was the word around the school anyways, but it had not deterred Casper.
"You should be having this conversation with your sister. I know you said you are still new but I've heard she has spread her legs open for a guy before. I have not even touched her. Even if I wanted to." Jasper said, this time a little on the defensive side. He could not help but get a little angry that this guy thought he had a right to tell him to back off from Lucy. Or more so to tell his twin to back off from Lucy. Lucy was her own woman and if this pretty boy thought he was going to get anywhere by telling Jasper to back down he was wrong. "I do. Whatever the hell. I want." Jasper said, making it clear a she took a step towards the boy.
He had seen the fist clench from the other boy and if he wanted a fight, Jasper was more than happy to oblige him. Just then the bathroom door opened up and Casper stepped out of the bathroom, letting out a deep breath. Then seeing his brother looking like he was about to pound some guys face in. "I'm guessing you are the Artemis boy-girl." Casper spoke up. He was going off of how Jasper had described him.
“Don’t talk to him! This ass thinks he can tell us to stay away from his sister!” Jasper quickly spoke up, still ready to fight. Casper was already working on piecing this story together since his brother didn’t seem like he was in the mood to catch him up.

Artemis had perhaps a slightly over passionate protective moral high ground when it came to Lucy, so no matter how jasper had chosen to speak about her if his words were painting her in a poor light then Artemis was going to get angry. People couldn't seem to understand that Lucy was he girl she'd shared a womb with, the girl he'd laughed with and smiled with once, the girl who shared his blood and mirrored his blue eyes. She was the other part of him... And yet all anyone else seemed to see was this cold, heartless bitch who'd do anything for her next hit, regardless of it was true or not. Despite Lucy's reputation being made up primarily of her own choices, Artemis carried some level of guilt, some level of responsibility; She was his baby sister... And he hadn't saved her.
Of course jasper didn't know all of that. He didn't know the backstory behind him, behind Lucy; But that perhaps made it even worse, that he would speak so horribly about someone he didn't even know, didn't even understand, just to hurt him. Jasper's next words almost felt as though they had made his heart stop with how blunt they were delivered; He stared at the guy, not wanting to believe him, not even wanting to give him a consideration of speaking truth. "I-I'm trying to be civilised about this," Artemis spoke, his words catching in his throat, his fists clenched so tightly now his knuckles were turning white. "Lucy doesn't need someone like you hurting her-" He was cut off as Jasper stepped forward, the boy remained steadfast in his position and not so much as flinching; His eyes widened a moment, before he glared once more. "I couldn't care less what you do! Hit me, fight me, do what you want. Just stay away from Lucy-"
Then something happened that was quite frankly the last thing Artemis had expected. The bathroom door was opened, and there stood- Jasper. Another Jasper. Artemis's eyes widened, and he stared, momentarily lost for words as the realisation struck him like a ton of bricks.
Jasper had a twin.
An identical twin.
Artemis opened his mouth and closed it again, snapping his gaze from Jasper to the other boy, feeling an intense heat flood his face. He hadn't had the slightest idea... "... You... You have a twin?" He mumbled quietly, before he snapped in response. "Hey, I'm a boy!"

Jasper glared at the boy as he half stuttered out that he was trying to be civilized. Jasper rolled his eyes at that and came close to hitting the other boy as he kept speaking. He was trying to be civil? Hah, Jasper would have laughed if he was not pissed off at the boy's audacity and how he seemed to think that he was being the nice guy here. "You are trying to be 'civilized' by coming here and telling me that I'm not a good person. Who gave you the fucking right to judge me based off of one interaction. You don't know me." Jasper said, his fist already formed and ready to make an indent in Artemis’s face.
Artemis was more than lucky that his brother walked out and spoke up. If Casper had not, then Jasper knew for sure he would have punched the other boy now. He still wanted to punch him but he was holding himself back because his brother was here. The other half that kept him in sort of a balance as he did for him. Based off of what his brother was yelling about, Casper was already putting things together without much difficulty. He could see the resemblance in the eyes and the girl that Casper had been hanging out the most out of the people he hung out with was Lucy. So she had a brother, interesting.
"Yeah, I have a twin! Proof that you don't know anything about me!" Jasper yelled. Casper placed a hand on his brother's shoulder, which caused Jasper to take a deep breath and step back. "You said he was both." Casper said after Artemis voice that he male. "He had the body of a little boy but acts like a girl." Jasper explained to his brother. "Oooh." Casper responded back, and then his attention was on Artemis. "I don't know fully what is going on here, but if it involves Lucy you should be talking to me. Jasper actually avoids her cause she upsets him and as for me, I'm not trying to get anything out of her. Just understand her." Casper explained, figuring he clear the air between the three of them.

The confrontation was heating up considerably, and despite Artemis's fiery nature when it came to protecting Lucy he'd rather it didn't descend into violence; Not that he wouldn't fight back. Although he was lacking in physical strength, Artemis wasn't afraid of fighting, which generally left him the worse for wear when he was dragged into such activities in his old school. At least now he had a card in his deck that left most in Bellefonte reeling; The poison he held within his barbs may only strip a mutant of their abilities for five minutes, but he knew it was enough to generally freak them out. If he had to use it on Jasper, he was sure as heck going to. He knew Jasper was stronger then him; That much was obvious. But he would give it as good as he got; Artemis wasn't generally stupid, but he was stupidly fearless. The sudden appearance of the guy's twin however, and the realisation that he had one, had knocked him back a little; Artemis narrowed his eyes at the newcomer, biting his bottom lip; He may look like his brother, but he was almost eerily calmer. Maybe it was simply because of the sharp difference in attitude between them currently which made it seem so odd...
"I'm not saying that!" Artemis snapped back as he turned his attention back to Jasper; he was well aware that he was beginning to shake slightly with anger, digging his fingernails into his palms; He could feel the heat increasing, the threat of his barbs putting pressure on the inside of his skin; His bottom lip was quivering, but he held firm, steadfast; He wasn't going to flinch, he wasn't going to step back. He kept his intense glare fixed on Jasper's eyes. "And you don't know me either! You know nothing about me, about Lucy, about what we've been though!" His voice was sharp, his words shaking slightly as they stumbled over his lips. The body of a little boy?! The fuck?! Just because he didn't have the so called "male model" body that meant he was a child? If there was an accumulation of the dictionary definition of asshole, Artemis was looking right at it. "You think you have the right to fuck with people-" He then stopped mid sentence, having just caught what the other twin had spoken; Artemis fell silent, slowly looking to Casper with widened eyes; his expression softened slightly as he took a deep breath, and in a calmer voice, addressed him. "... S-So you're the one she's been talking to?" He glanced to Jasper, and despite all the harsh words they'd just exchanged and the threat of a fist fight having been imminent, it didn't change the fact that he'd been mistaken. Despite his anger, his dislike of the boy who seemed to take delight in teasing him, he had still been wrong. "... Sorry for the mistake." He spoke in a voice which was barely a whisper, but was audit able enough.

Jasper crossed is his arms over the chest. He was still pissed and now working on ignoring whatever it was Artemis had to say. He had a feeling that it was just going to piss him off more and he didn't feel like beating the guy up so bad that they would have to toss him over the side of the ship to get rid of the body. Were the twins capable of doing such a thing? Yes, it was always going to be them against the world and if anyone was a large enough threat they would put them down. Not that Artemis came off as much of a threat, so at least the boy would only have to worry about a beating.
Jasper bit his bottom lip, holding back any words and just doing his best to ignore Artemis as the boy voice his opinion on the matter. All of it was stupid and Jasper was thankful that his brother was here now to clear things up. Jeez, some people too Jasper's fun a bit too seriously when all he did was speaks. Jasper; as well as Casper, they both did what they did to get a reaction out of people. The world was their toy box and the people in it were their toys. Toys that were not entertained by them had to entertain the brothers in some way shape or form. That was just how they viewed others and it had not changed yet.
"I am. She is still not a huge fan of it, but you don't seem to be that huge fan of my brother either." Casper responded back. Both the brothers were used to people not really seeing the way that they did. People fell into three categories when it came to the brothers, and this boy and his twin fell into the one of 'no liking the twins'. They accepted it and did not even care on some level, so long as someone didn't voice it to them. Jasper let out a scoff at the apology, but said nothing. "It's fine. You would probably still think that I'm not good for your sister either." Casper said as he smiled a little. "Anyways, were you just here to tell us to avoid your sister or was there something else?" Casper asked soon after. He worded it the way he did on purpose.
Post by Artemis James on Mar 17, 2015 19:07:54 GMT -6
Artemis was still very much filled with annoyance and frustration at the sheer arrogance of these boys, mostly due to the fact he highly doubted they were taking anything he did or said as any threat at all. Physically, they were clearly far stronger then him, and there was two of them; In a fight he'd be next to no match. So his words were like his mutantation; A wasp's sting. Irrtating and nothing more then an annoyance, with no real threat. What could he really do? If Casper decided to ignore his demand and go after Lucy regardless, what consequence could artemis truly give him? Strip him of his power for five minutes? That was all he could do... And although that wouldn't prevent the boy from giving it his all in order to protect Lucy from further harm, it would end terribly for him. He valued her higher then his own welbeing, which was why he was remaining here with a stubbon determination not to appear weak or rattled by the manner in which the boys spoke to him.
He understood exactly what Jasper did, doing things and saying things just to gain a reaction. Casper on the other hand, Artemis knew next to nothing about. While they looked the same, they could potentially be two completely different people; As a twin himself, he knew that better then anyone. He snapped Jasper a glare at his scoff, but didn't grace him with a reply, instead turning his attention back to Casper. He folded his arms across his chest, pouting slightly as he considered his next words, his body language relaxing slightly it his eyes remaining narrowed. "... I don't know if you're good for Lucy or not," He spoke honestly. "'m not... Saying you're any worse or better then anyone else. I'm saying that my sister isn't in the right place to be messed around with. She's..." He trailed off, not really wanting to go into Lucy's current state. "... It's just not something she needs. I'm only trying to protect her, okay? I'm sure you'd do the same thing for your brother." He then sighed deeply, trying to let his anger subside as he put his hands on his hips, his glare softening now to a concerned gaze. "So I'm not asking you stay away from her. I'm asking for you to be... To be understanding." He most certainly hoped Casper was the more understanding of the two of them.

Jasper was ignoring the glare and not even looking at Artemis still, but he remained close to his brother. His brother was his rock and helped him calm down, just by the fact that Casper was pretty calm at the moment. Jasper still was upset that Artemis thought he had a right to say who was good or bad for his sister when he didn't really know the brothers. How shocked would Artemis be to find out that Jasper actually had a boyfriend? Sure it was a very confusing open relationship, but he still had a boyfriend so obviously he was not all that bad.
Artemis was then speaking; both brothers look at him now and not saying anything right away. Casper did start to smirk now, as Artemis laid out what he was worried about and what he wanted the twins to do when around his sister. "Do you even know her yourself? You might be her brother but what do you know about her?" Casper asked. He was curious, honestly. He was also starting a game of his own. His brother had said that this one was a particularly fun toy to rile up and he wanted to see so for himself. Granted, he planned to rile the boy up in another way, depending on what was said and done.
"I would protect my brother, but in a simple warning and allow him to end up making his own mistakes and sharing the punishment with him." Casper informed him. They were twins, and unlike Lucy and Artemis; they had been there for each other always, and planned to be forever. They could always depend on the other to help them out and trusted each other more than life itself. Casper didn't get that same vibe from Artemis, even if he did seem like he wanted to be that good brother. Just the look in his eyes and the way he spoke hinted to some kind of regret and Casper could not help but want to push a few buttons.
"Understanding of what? She shoves everyone away. Even my brother." Jasper pointed out. No, Lucy had hardly anything to worry about from the brothers so long as she didn’t actually manage to piss them both off.

Artemis's hope that Casper would provide more of an understanding viewpoint on the situation was dashed as he noted the slight upturning of his lips in a clear smirk. His softened blue eyes narrowed a fraction, and he felt the annoyance he'd just tried to let go of flurry in the pit of his stomach; But this time, Artemis tried to remain calm, despite the boy's questioning clearly intending to send him further into a riled up state.
"... I know Lucy. She might try to pretend that I don't know but I do," He replied confidently. "Just because we're two very different people doesn't mean I don't understand her motivations and her weaknesses." Artemis felt that this was partly a bluff; even if Artemis didn't want to ever admit that. Lucy had... Fallen very far from him. He didn't think he understood her as much as he actually did, in the same way he was perhaps more like her then he'd ever know. He looked away from the boys with another pout at Casper's next comment; He didn't know much about the twins overall, but from their general demeanour he could guess they hadn't fallen into or at least weren't in as dark a place as his twin was. Would this guy really be so calm if Jasper had done something which had threatened his life? Would he not surely be as defensive and protective as Artemis was being now? "... I would share any burden Lucy wanted me to bare!" He snapped back, bringing his eyeline back to Casper with a frown. "But she's been through more then you would ever understand! This isn't some silly mistake she's made, she's... she's..." Again, he trailed off; Lucy wouldn't want her private life called out in some heated discussion. "... She's not well. Can't you see how messing with her would only make that worse?!"
He then folded his arms once more, biting his bottom lip with a glare in Jasper's direction. "... You really don't understand anything about her... Same as I don't know anything about you, like you said. So take it from me, and in her best interest... Leave her be if all you're intended to do is push her until she b-breaks." His voice threatening to break again at his own words, the very idea of Lucy slipping down, down in to that abyss once again filled Artemis with a horrific and sickening sense of dread. No... No he wouldn't let that happen. Not again.

"You think you know her, but in truth you don't. Do you?" Casper asked. He was quick to speak up as soon as the words about knowing Lucy left the other boys mouth. Casper didn't believe him completely, not with how Lucy was. He figured that she would have even kept a wall to her brother with what she had gone through. Again, these were all guesses, but Casper and Jasper didn't have to reveal that they were kind of just going along with what they were guessing about. You didn't need to actually have facts to back you up. You just had to act like you knew what you were saying was true and others would do the rest for you.
The brother were both now smiling when Artemis snapped back at them, the two of them both now planning on taking part of this little game together. They did enjoy playing the game together, that was when it was the best. That was when it was them against their toy and working with one another to get their toy to react as desired. Artemis was doing just that for them, such a good toy. "Does she even want you to share that burden with her?" Jasper asked, tilting his head a little to the side. The brothers did move closer, but not too close. It had to be a gradual approach to really trigger the emotional build up.
Words that Artemis thought he had the right to utter out. Again, he didn't know the brothers and true they didn't know him. Yet he was the one that was saying that they would not understand how was he capable of telling them what they could and could not understand? He could not. "I see that she has been hurt. That she has walls up around herself to protect herself but at the same time has stopped caring about things around her." Casper pointed out when Artemis brought up that messing with her would only make her worse. "You don't know if we would make it worse you better. Just because I teased you at the hot tub, does not mean I do the same to your sister." Jasper pointed out.
"We do as we like." The brothers said in unison in reply back to Artemis telling them to stay away. They were not going to stay away because he was worried about the kind of people they were, when he admitted to not really knowing. "Seems to me he is the one that is about to break before she does." Jasper said to his brother, who nodded in agreement. "Trying to understand and defend her yet you don't even understand yourself, do you?" Casper asked.
