Frank lurked near the center of the pool. She slowly rose up to the surface, bubbles rising in front of her as she did so. The bubbles actually seemed to be moving in time to the Jaws theme, and any poor unfortunate souls in the water would actually hear her making that very familiar musical noise. She swam about, moving slowly, methodically...
for about thirty seconds.
Then she exploded out in the water, thrusting her hands into the air. "I claim this pool in the name of my family! This entire land is the sovereign territory of the Cox family line, to serve Cox until our line should die out or we marry into a less phallic sounding family and become, like, Stags or something. Yes," Frank nodded and spread her arms out, catching the water to splash, "this entire pool is mine! I claimed it first! So it's totally all mine! Especially that octopus over there."
Oh, yeah, Frank was in the kiddie pool. Probably should have mentioned that near the beginning.

Oh, how free Alex felt the moment she stepped on board the ship. For the better part of the week she there was going to be nothing but entertainment, beautiful weather, the stunning views of the ocean, her first visit to a different country, and a welcome lack of homework, classes, and, best of all, uniforms. It certainly didn't hurt that having 24 hour access to the pools, as well as being surrounded by the sparkling blue waters of the ocean put Alex at ease in a way she'd rarely experienced in recent years. Water was the one counter to her fear of fire. She felt safe out here and she was determined to take advantage of it.
Alex was practically gliding along the deck clad in a wide brimmed hat and a simple, loose fitting, white sundress as she approached the pool area. Her bathing suit was underneath in case she got the swimming bug and the small back pack she used instead of a purse was slung over one shoulder. Upon laying claim to an unsupervised deck chair, Alex's attention was immediately drawn to the scene playing out in the kiddie pool nearby. She tilted her head as she watched as the performance built to a near crescendo, then pausing as the blonde girl discussed the possible uses of less phallic oriented family names before reaching it's dramatic climax.
Alex thought it over for a few moments and then, spurred on by the setting and the promise of new experiences, moved to the edge of the kiddie pool on the side where the aforementioned octopus floated lazily in the water. Alex rarely approached other people in this manner but she was emboldened by being on the ship. Her arms folded across her chest as she eyed the blonde for a moment. "But!" She challenged, a single brow quirking almost comically. "What if the octopi of this land have already been claimed by House Lawson?"

Frank turned with about one hundred times more drama than was necessary even if she were mugging for a camera. Her eyes widened at the realization of her apparent rival, and she raised a hand for a super-dramatic point. Frank held that position for a good ten seconds before lowing it.
"Well, then I suppose, like, we'd either have to fight over it, or we'd, like, get our people together to do some sort of unsteady alliance based off marriage and showing a lot of titties," Frank paused. She looked down at herself. Then at the other girl. Then back at herself. "Though I don't know if we should really do that. I think that's, like, some pretty adult stuff, and definitely not appropriate for this," she gestured in a sort of area around her, though of course we all know what she was really talking about.
So Frank paused to consider the girl again. "House Lawson? Do you guys have like an adorable octopi as a sigil? House Cox has..." Frank gestured, then lowered her hand, "I think it's actually a picture of, like, Scrooge McDuck's vault and a pipe... I wasn't great at memorizing our family crest..."

Alex started down at the girl with the most ineffectual glare in the history of failed intimidation factors. Even though the entire scene was comical from the beginning, Alex found herself horrible and being taken seriously even when she was actually trying. When faced with this manic blonde girl who was posturing and flailing about the kiddie pool spouting inanities, Alex stood no chance. Her head tilted as Frank started going on about alliances and titties. This brought a frown to the brunette's face. "Oh, no. We can't do that." She reasoned. "I mean, unless want to handle the bulk of the 'titties' parts." She gestured to herself for emphasis. "I'm not exactly packing enough boobs to launch a thousand ships or keep the barbarian hordes at bay." But Alex was thankful when Frank countered with reasonable talk of keeping things PG or the moment.
"No." Alex's head shook and it occurred to her she was standing there staring down at Frank and it felt a little awkward. "I don't think we have a crest." She admitted as she went to sit at the edge of the pool so she could dip her feet in. "I mean, we might." She gave an exaggerated shrug. "We're not, like, anything special. I guess if we had one it'd probably be boring. Something like a mini-van or station wagon."

Frank blew out her lips and gave Alex a dismissive wave. "you've totally got enough boobies to distract guys. It's not about the size: it's about how you flaunt them," which of course required a little bit of a wiggle. though Frank was packing a fairly decent set: kind of a nice side effect of both genetics and eating a healthy amount.
Thankfully, Alex distracted Frank from her own boobies (a Herculean task in and of itself) and the Cox girl looked up. "Well, we could always, like, design a crest for you. You probably would have to do something really cool that would get you noticed and then you pick something from your history that's totally important and cool and stuff," Frank walked through the pool, purposefully moving her arms and legs to create the maximum amount of water movement as possible. Then she was resting on the octopus again.
"Like, if you, I dunno," Frank crinkled up her nose, tilting her head, "maybe, like, if you traveled to outer space and fought off a bunch of aliens while singing this epic ballad then you could totally have a sort of crest that showed off your badass ballading skills. So, the question is," Frank pointed at the girl, "can you work a lightsaber? Or a laser pistol if, like, you want to be lame."

Alex remained unconvinced. She knew which assets of hers the rare boy that came sniffing around liked and it certainly had nothing to do with her curvaceous figure. Her eyes lingered perhaps a bit too long at the brief, albeit odd display the other girl made of showing off her own boobs. All in all, this was quickly becoming a very strange encounter. Of course, given how it started, Alex didn't know what she had expected in the first place. But she had to admit, the girl had some good ideas for a family crest.
"My family's the most boring you've ever seen. Really." She gave a shrug. So many of the students here had unique, interesting backgrounds. Alex sometimes felt like she was the only one at the Academy who didn't have some major family tragedy, a broken home, or wasn't ridiculously rich. "We'll have to make something up. Something with, like, dragons, or maybe zombies or something."
"Oh, I don't know." She waved a hand dismissively as she went to sit at the edge of the kiddie pool, lifting her dress just enough to be able to dip her feet into the water without getting it wet. "Going to space and fighting aliens while singing just sounds like a crappy pop music video." She waved her hand again. "Anyway, that would probably involve wearing, like, boots with big-ass heels and that wouldn't work for me."

Frank blew out her lips and rolled her eyes. "Well, clearly you just gotta do something really cool and then your family will be known for that. You already got the mutant thing going for you, and you're cute, so that shouldn't be too hard. And yeah," Frank nodded, slapping her hands together, spraying water, "you could totes just make something up!"
Frank hopped forward then, sloshing more water around her as she moved. She tilted her head as Alex talked about the situation, nodding. "Well, yeah, but, like, that would still be super awesome and all. And for all you know, you could already have a crest and--"
Frank whirled, raising a hand to point at a youngish looking girl who was creeping up on the pool behind her. "YOU, THIS IS MY DOMAIN! I'M JUST HOLDING AUDIENCE WITH MY FRIEND HERE!' Frank gestured with her other hand at Alex, while pointing with the other, her eyes narrowed. "Don't make me get all Westeros on your ass!"

Alex gave knowing nod. She really didn't have the slightest clue what she had gotten herself into when she'd approached the blonde girl flailing about and shouting in the kiddie pool, but, in truth, she should have expected a conversation to transpire the way it had. What, after all, had she expected.
But Frank did seem, at least somewhat to be on the right track. If Alex wanted a family history more interesting than the one she had a little fudging of the truth would be in order. Her eyes narrowed as she swirled her feet around in the water a bit. "I like the idea of just making something up." She said with a laugh. "That sounds a lot easier than, you know, trying to make something happen or finding trouble. I don't do trouble. It tends to get you... you know... in trouble."
With a frown Alex mulled over her own words that were now starting to sound nonsensical. She lifted her eyes to Frank as she spoke and then flinched as the other girl wheeled around and began shouting at the unsuspecting kid that had dared approach the two of them. She stared at Frank for a long moment, blinking a few times a the outburst. "Westeros..." She repeated the word thoughtfully. "That's a Game of Thrones thing, isn't it?" One of these days she was going to have to actually watch that show.

Frank rolled her eyes, blowing out a raspberry. "Please, you, like, go to Bellefonte. Trouble's gonna find you. Just give it a year or so and you'll get kidnapped or get caught in a fire or have someone attempting to make you join a cult of mutant hippies or something." Frank let out another giggle.
She probably would have continued, had there not been the child to scare off. Said child was now remembering that there were other pools that were not occupied by crazy looking blond girls who screamed references to random things. Or at least, that was probably what was going on: she certainly wasn't hanging around there any more.
Frank heard the words and she turned to Alex. "Pretty sure," She said, turning her head. She backed up till she was pressed against the octopus, then lifted herself up atop it. "It might be a Doctor Who thing though. Or maybe My Little Pony. I get those confused all the time. All the accents and the princesses and the boobies and the singing and all,' Frank shrugged, clearly figuring that this was a fairly commonplace problem that Alex should totally sympathize with.
"Why? Are you a fan or something? Did I say it wrong? Or, like," Frank narrowed her eyes, "are we gonna fight to the death now or something?"

Alex did little more, at first, than sit and watch as the manic blonde girl flailed around. It struck her how Frank was able to speak of the tragic events that had stricken the Academy and its students in recent years. Alex had remembered being terrified at SPECTRE, and just thinking of the fire made it feel like someone had punched her in the stomach. She'd, thankfully, not known anyone who had been directly affected by these events but they still lingered in the history of the school like a black eye. She breathed almost a sigh of relief as Frank distracted herself with running off the kid and promptly moved onto a different topic.
"You know... if there were more boobs in My Little Pony I'd probably watch it more often." Alex offered with a faint, almost nervous laugh. It seemed a drastic switch of conversation to go from dismissively recounting the biggest disasters to hit the Academy within the last year or so to speaking of boobs and... My Little Pony. Oh, well. It wasn't as if Alex was one to judge. "Uh, no." Alex waved her hands, catching the glimmer that shone in Frank's eyes at the possibility of impending battle. "I've never seen an episode of any of those shows, actually so..." She frowned a little before offering a shrug. "I don't know if you're saying it wrong or not but it sounds good to me."

Frank considered for a moment, her eyes narrowing. "I'm not sure if boobs would improve My Little Pony or not... the fandom certainly seems so, but they're kinda weeeeeeeeird," this coming from the girl still standing in a kiddie pool and moving her arms about to create a few waves. Because while Frank might technically be having a semi-normal, semi-serious conversation with someone, she still wanted to assert her claim over this particular hardwon patch of ground.
Well, at least till she got bored.
"Oh, it's so cool!" Frank said, slapping her hands and creating a few more waves. "There's, like, all these people and they want to kill each other and ride dragons and do lots of sex with all kinds of people and there's at least this one guy who I'm pretty sure would actually kill people while having sex on a dragon," Frank tilted her head to the side and sighed, "Oh, Oberyn, I would have your magnificent snake children in a heartbeat," and Frank stared off into the middle distance for some time, no doubt living out a momentary fantasy where at least one guy actually paid attention to her ladybits.

"Hey." Alex's expression grew serious as she pointed a finger at Frank for emphasis. It was an almost comedic display coming from the diminutive girl that probably couldn't look intimidating or commanding if her life depended on it. "Everything's. Better. With boobs." Her eyes then narrowed as she now thought of her words well after they'd already been released out into the world. "Except guys... guys with boobs..." She scrunched her nose up a bit as she steadily began to come up with a list of things that would, without a doubt, not be better with a healthy set of breasts. Some of the images that popped into her head were rather amusing, though.
Alex's head tilted much in the same way as Frank's did as she thought over the girl's words. The picture Frank had so tactfully painted appeared in Alex's mind. The whole hot (she presumed) guy having sex while riding a dragon thing was, while weird, not the least appealing thing she'd thought about all day and she gave a bit of a nod. "Okay. I don't know who that is." She admitted. "But I'm okay with that image." At least there was that.
Leaning back, Alex propped herself up on her hands and looked to Frank who was still caught up in her own head for the moment. "Uh..." Alex's brow furrowed as she watched the suddenly silent and still girl curiously. "Are you okay?" She briefly considered splashing a bit of water on the girl, but figured it'd be best to wait at least a little while before resorting to such measures.

"Not everything," Frank replied, "cuz could you imagine, like, cars with boobs?" Frank held her hands out to the right position and pulled a face. She was, of course, referencing both the famous Pixar cartoon (which sexualized cars enough to confuse a whole generation of young people) and motor vehicles in general. She lowered the hands. "That would totes cut into trashy models' spending money! They'd be stuck just posing with magazines: and we clearly couldn't deprive of the world of that."
Frank nodded a few times, thoroughly convinced in this argument. Of course, there was the whole dazed, imagining hot guys from television shows moment that involved a bit more dreamy sighing and such. She did vaguely hear Alex talking about it, but it was kind of the distant thing, like when a really boring teacher talked while you were trying to have an awesome daydream.
"Shhh," she held a hand out in exactly the wrong direction to indicate Alex, "I'm picturing the awesome snake-man sex fantasy right now," which apparently took all of Frank's focus and energy. Well, unless something shiny or colorful fluttered by in the next few minutes.

Alex's brow furrowed as she watched the blonde girl curiously. She had heard of Frank, obviously. Who had been at Bellefonte for any length of time and NOT heard of her? She always figured the stories to be greatly exaggerated but many of them were quickly being proven correct. She actually had to look around, casting glances over both shoulders in turn to ensure she wasn't being pranked in any sort of way as Frank shushed her and then fell silent. It was as if the petite brunette was expecting to see a camera crew in hiding indicating she was on one of those prank shows that usually ran on late night TV when no one was actually watching.
Sadly, none of this was true. There was no camera crew, no B-list actor host jumping out and telling her she'd been 'Punk'd' by this professional actor who was just splashing around and yelling in a kiddie pool just because audience watching at home would find it amusing. Nope. Frank Cox was simply being Frank Cox and poor Alex didn't have the slightest clue what to make of the whole situation. "Um..." She said, now leaning forward and studying the other girl. "So, uh..." She reached out and waved a hand over Frank's field of vision in hopes of breaking the girl out of her trance. "I'm thinking you need to get laid." She said with a not-so-knowing nod. It wasn't as if Alex was an expert on anything of that nature, after all.
Post by Frank "Sunny" Laffont on May 21, 2015 23:28:31 GMT -6
There was some leaning and Frank then noticed/remembered that there actually happened to be another person present. She shifted slightly to look at said person, blinking as her brain tried to catch up and remember what was going on. there was some waving, which Frank responded to by waving herself.
"Tell me about it!' she said, adding a near sigh of frustration and rolling her eyes. "Like, it's amazing that my vajayjay isn't sucking in all those water," she turned and pushed some water around with her arms before pulling it toward her with a great sucking noise. Then she took a few steps closer to Alex. 'You wouldn't happen to, like, know someone else who does, would you? 'cuz I'm kinda in the middle of, like, the worst dry spell ever."
