RJ kept busting out in laughter, which made completing his current project somewhat difficult. His hand kept jerking or pulling away from the chalkboard, and each time that created a jagged, out of place line that RJ had to wipe away. He probably would have finished by now if it weren't for that: It wasn't as if what he was drawing was all that difficult.
It was, in fact, a giant penis. A really massive one that took up about half the chalkboard, with the label "RJ's d**k, actual size" written alongside it. RJ happened to think it was absolutely brilliant, and he was totally impressed that he'd thought it up all on his own and come to draw it. It was just proving difficult, what with his cutting up every few seconds at the absolute hilarity of it.
Finally, RJ took a step back, admiring it and nodding. "Oh yeah, totally awesome," he said. He smirked and rubbed at his nose, getting some chalk there. Then RJ tossed the chalk back onto the ledge, landing it perfectly. He then stuck his head out. "Hey, check this out!" He yelled, gesturing toward anyone who would bother listening. "Someone drew something totally awesome on the chalkboard in here."

As she silently moved down the hallway, her backpack slung over one shoulder, Alexandra actually looked deep in thought. Hers was not a rare expression to see in such halls of academia, in fact it was all too common. Many a young pupil had spent hours contemplating the knowledge they could glean from their lessons. Alex, on the other hand, was locked in deep thought over whether or not she really could see where people were coming from when they considered 'Halloween' to be the superior slasher flick series to 'Friday the 13th' because the former was the trailblazer. She also was wondering if she had Hot Pockets at home. And tacos. Tacos sounded pretty good right about now...
She almost let out a yelp as the voice cut through the silence and violently wrested her back to reality. She did jump a little and wheeled around to find the source. Alex's eyes narrowed just slightly as they settled upon a slender boy who looked to be around her age grinning like a madman. She looked to her right, then to her left, wondering who the hell he could possibly be gesturing to. She finally looked back to him and pointed at herself. Could she possibly find the will to give a damn what 'awesome' thing someone may or may not have drawn on a chalkboard in one of the classrooms?
You bet your ass she could.
It could never be said that Alex didn't enjoy her juvenile humor. She was, after all, the only girl she knew that not only could stomach the old 'Jackass' TV show, but actually revisited it regularly by choice. She gave a shrug and started for the classroom, hiking her pack up a little higher on her shoulders.
Alex's head tilted as she took in the sight of the ginormous donger scrawled on the chalkboard. Part of her wanted to laugh her ass off but seeing as how the artist deemed it necessary to sign their work, the masterpiece took on a somewhat arrogant and childish tone. She sighed, her head shaking slowly before shifting her gaze to look at the boy. "I'm gonna guess you're RJ?" She asked, largely unimpressed.
Ah, so RJ's brilliant move had actually resulted in snaring a pretty girl. She looked pretty damn hot too, though she didn't seem to be dressing for it. That probably meant that she was all worked up and would be super flattered by some attention from the R and the J. Which of course he would give.
Right now though, he just leaned against the wall, giving her his proudest smirk. "Well, there's one way to find out, if you're really curious," he said, letting his eyebrows bounce once as his smirk deepened several tics into truly cocky territory.

You can't be serious...
Alex's eyes slide from the young man back to the piece of 'art' scrawled upon the board. She took in the artistry of the work for just a moment and appreciated the juvenile humor and freedom of self and expression that it represented. Her brow furrowed, though, as her own mental rebuttal stated quite loudly that she was possibly reading far too much into it and there was little to take away other than the face value of it being a penis on a school chalk board.
"Oh, wait." The utter lack of subtlety that came from the 'artist' caused Alex to stumble over her words some. Her attention snapped back to RJ, a single brow quirking in disbelief. There was no way this guy was being serious. This thought lasted all of a second. Upon catching sight of the smug smirk on his face she knew the answer. "Really?" She asked with a resigned sigh. She was now regretting falling for this trick. "Did you actually think that line would work?"
RJ waited while she worked through it. no doubt she was impressed that he'd actually go there, especially because it showed the extreme level of confidence he possessed. Oh yeah, he totally exuded confidence from every pore, and he was so ready to lay it on this girl the moment she got it. There was that wait, and a quirked brow.
Then the really and the thing. he let out a laugh, rubbing at the back of his head. "Well, you can't blame me for trying, right?" RJ smiled. "'cuz if it did work, I'd get with a pretty girl, and that's always a win," he winked, giving her another once over. "You been hiding somewhere? Your mom keeping you all locked up, fraid that you're going to run into a guy like me?"
RJ smiled confidently, moving back to lean against the nearest wall, his arms folding over his chest. Oh yeah, he'd so have her wrapped around his finger. She had very nearly fallen for the dumb line, so she'd totally fall for his charms.

Alex immediately went to send a witty, possibly scathing response back toward RJ but before the words could form and be pushed out the realization that she had just been called 'pretty' caused her mouth to close abruptly. She wasn't particularly shy or lacking in self confidence by any standards, but it was rare that anyone other than her grandmother used such an adjective to describe her. She got 'cute' and all sorts of words that touched upon her diminutive size, but 'pretty' didn't come across often.
It didn't help that the compliment had come from someone so obviously full of themselves as RJ. Alex instantly felt the regret that came with showing his words had actually touched her in some way and snapped her gaze back to the chalkboard. It was better than continuing to look at that oh, so infuriating grin, or those eyes of his that seemed to shine with a confident mischievousness.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." She remarked with a nod. RJ was right and she had to hand it to him. The guy had some serious balls. Although she doubted they were anything like the ridiculous thing he'd drawn on the board. If they were, geezus that would hurt. "I'm sure there's someone out there dumb enough to fall for it." She smirked a little herself, and cast a short glance back in his direction. "And I've been here the whole time." She continued, reaching up to tap a finger knowingly against her temple. "I'm just smart enough to keep a low profile. What about you? What's your deal?" She then waved to the chalkboard with a soft chuckle. "Or is this all you do?"
RJ chuckled at the comment about someone being dumb enough to fall for it. "Hey, it only takes once, or even just a chance," he said, adding another wink. She was totally checking him out, now probably wondering if she'd just misjudged him as just another idiot. RJ shifted slightly, mostly because holding still was never something he could manage, sort of dancing a bit.
There the whole time, eh? She must have just gotten pretty lately then. That happened sometimes, enough that RJ had often put work into some of those that he knew would grow. Be nice to even the ones that didn't look so pretty, especially if they were young or working out or something.
OH, and now she wanted to know about RJ's favorite subject: "Oh, I've been around," he said, shrugging, "you know how it is. Doing my thing and all that. And that ain't everything," he jerked his head back. "I'm also a world class dancer and the best damn lover you'll ever see. Or maybe that's reversed: I always get that confused."

As bad as it sounded even Alex had to admit RJ's logic was pretty solid. There was no way in hell she was going to find herself falling for any of his allegedly smooth lines and promises of sexual prowess but, she supposed, there were some girls out there attracted to such a level of confidence. Alex, on the other hand, preferred a large helping of modesty in her potential suitors. Not that she had many at the moment or, in truth, any at all, but still. She didn't think she'd ever be a 'casual fling' type of person.
A low groan escaped at the latest round of boisterous claims. Alex's head lowered and she pinched the bridge of her nose. "Are you being serious right now?" She asked, stifling a laugh as she lifted her eyes to look at RJ. It was a shame he had to open his mouth and talk. There was no denying he was cute even if the total package was less than impressive. "Oh? You dance?" She asked, completely skipping over the sex part. So far a possibly tenuous connection to music was the most interesting thing about him. "Do you have a favorite style? Any artists that inspired you?" Yes. Alex's music geek was showing just a bit.
RJ just grinned as she laughed and asked if he was serious. "You know it," he said, adding a wink. Yeah, she was totally vibing him. He straightened a little, wishing that he could maybe strut or something. Then again, she sounded at least a little interested, and RJ could definitely handle being amusing to a girl: got them smiling, and most of them had pretty smiles. Like this one.
He nodded at the dance repetition: they often clung to that. "Uh, kinda like urban stuff," he said, shrugging. "There's a few guys that I follow on YouTube," he slowly strode to the front of the room, pausing and turning on one leg. "Gotta admit: it's mostly my power. And some practice, but, yeah," he slid his arms and started slowly dancing in place, jerking his body in ways that took some people years to master. His hips and legs moved smoothly though, and also in near perfect imitation of someone he'd seen doing the same moves.
"Totally can dance," he strut forward a few times, then spun twice on his heels, pausing to nod. "Why, you looking for a partner?" he grin returned, the offer in his words obvious even without being spoken aloud.

As much of a grade-A douche as this guy was turning out to be, Alex couldn't help but be more than a little impressed at the smooth precision of the impromptu dance he performed. She nodded in reluctant respect for the exhibition but couldn't help but turn her attention back to the ridiculous drawing on the chalkboard in order to remind herself who she was dealing with.
"That's actually really good." She admitted, glancing back to RJ. "Whether it's your power or not, I'm impressed." She had to give credit where credit was due, as loathe as she was in the case to voice it.
Her head shook but her shoulders shrugged at RJ's question. Alex wasn't necessarily looking for any sort of 'partner' but she wasn't so sure if that was by choice or from lack of options. She didn't usually put herself in a position to meet people, guys especially, and it wasn't uncommon for her to go wholly unnoticed in this, the land of unbelievably gorgeous girls who were way more personable and outgoing than she. "I don't really dance much." Although she could and frequently did as part of the Academy Spirit Squad. "I love music, though." That would always be her weak spot when it came to other people. Musicians would forever start the game a few places ahead of everyone else. "I play a little, I'm not that good though." She frowned a little as she lifted a hand and wriggled her fingers. "Tiny hands don't work the frets as well." A thin smirk then touched the corner of her lips. "You should join the cheerleading squad if you like to dance." She mused. "We could use some guys."
RJ spread his arms as Alex complimented him, even bowing slightly. He popped back up, that grin seeming to get even more suggestive. "It ain't the only thing I'm good at," he said, adding a wink as he closed more of the gap between them. RJ still left enough space and all, but he was within arm's range of Alex. Just... still far enough that he could jerk back if she attempted to swing.
That happened to RJ a lot. For some reason.
"You totally should," RJ said, nodding and scanning Alex, "you so got the body for it. All petite and slim and all: so a dancer's bod," and a really nice one. RJ spent perhaps a bit longer than was strictly necessary checking it out, though he pulled his eyes back to hers as she talked about her music. "Hey, I bet you're better than you think," he insisted, the line coming easy to him. Oh, he was so tempted to say something about what her hands could work, but she said something that derailed the comments.
"Cheerleading?" he said, snorting. "That's, like, awesome for you chicks and all, but in case you haven't notice," he gestured at himself, "I'm one hundred percent for chicks like you." Bam. Nailed it.

Alex wouldn't swing. Not yet, anyway. She was a remarkably laid back girl who only seemed more nervous that someone would willingly draw closer to her than anything else. She eyed RJ curiously and with a hint of skepticism in her large, expressive eyes. The way he moved, coupled with his obvious (if not slightly overbearing) interest in Alex made the girl a little confused as to what to do. On one hand, she simply wasn't used to this kind of attention, not matter how far out it happened to be. On the other, RJ was an absolute douche-nozzle.
Decisions, decisions.
Part of Alex wanted to take the unexpected compliment and make her blush. RJ was spouting words she hadn't heard, well, ever, and it almost made her brain glitch in a way as she tried to process it all. She shrugged turning her hands palms upward in an awkward gesture as he spoke of her meager musical talents. She opened her mouth to speak, but the comment about cheerleading caused her jaw to snap shut. At first she wanted to be angry, but logic and reason overtook any malice that may have came from the flippant way in which RJ dismissed the cheer squad. She took a deep breath and moved her hands to settle upon her hips. Her mind had finally worked through everything and she was completely in control of herself.
"You know, RJ." She said, her voice serious but with a certain softness. "If you could tone down the cocky prick attitude just a little and act like a real, living person, I just might be interested."
Oh damn, she wanted one of those sensitive types. RJ nearly sighed: these chicks were always the hardest to crack, and he was definitely determined to see if he couldn't crack this. Man, he was so going to end up on the cheer squad or something. Well, he supposed that he'd be looking up a lot of the skirts of the hottest girls in school, so that was definitely a plus.
"Oh, hey, sorry," he said, actually lowering his head and rubbing it with a hand. "It's just that I want to make sure to impress girls, especially pretty ones like you," he said, gesturing toward her. He sighed, looking up this time. "I totally should have figured that you're one of those smart ones that's so not going to fall for lines or anything," he looked over at her, giving her an apologetic, hang-dog look. Hey, if there was one thing he was good at, besides nailing chicks and dancing, it was acting.
"It was the cheerleading comment, right? I just don't want people thinking I'm, like, you know," he raised a hand and waved it back and forth, "not, uh, straight," there, that was the tactful way of putting it, right? That should totally work.

The sudden shift in RJ's demeanor caught Alex completely off guard. She blinked a few times and opened her mouth to speak, even going so far as to work her jaw as if she was forming words but nothing came out. She hadn't meant to hurt anyone's feelings or bring up apprehensions and it showed. If RJ was hoping to appeal to Alex's sensitive, more girl side, he'd succeeded.
"Yeah, just-. Just stop." She gave a short wave of a hand while she stammered through the simple sentence. Her brow furrowed half in curiosity and half in skeptical empathy. "You don't have to do the... pretty thing." Alex's voice lowered while in the process of speaking. By the time she got the word 'pretty' it came out mostly in a sheepish, awkward mumble.
She glanced down to look at her hands as they fidgeted. She felt uncomfortable having put RJ on blast and getting such a response. She had just wanted to take a little hot air out of his bullshit balloon, not knock the entire thing out of the sky. "What?" Her eyes lifted to regard RJ curiously. "Are you not familiar with what male cheerleaders do all day?" She asked, his apprehension actually strengthening her resolve just a bit. "It's basically dancing in front of a crowd mixed in with groping girls."
